ParticipantI would actually disagree with that statement. Colin moving to Canada with his family means the opposite, that they are going to use his character for ‘the long haul.’ They have lots planned for him. He not only moved his family, he left his band too.
I don’t think Colin would have done both of those things if he didn’t think or know that Hook was not going to have lots of material coming up.

ParticipantI guess it could be a toss up between Belle and Neal, but definitely not Hook. I don’t see how he could be unhappy about what’s going on the show right now. I’m strongly leaning towards Neal.
I know he’s a fan favorite and all that but let’s be honest here, when an actor doesn’t have a lot to do on the show, they need to start looking elsewhere for work.
It happened with Meghan Ory. She was promoted to series regular at the beginning of season two and then her character didn’t have a big story arc and she left the show. It happens. Actors still have to work and be free to find other work when their main work doesn’t include a big story for them right now.

ParticipantI totally agree with you @CaptainEala and plus, you know, it’s somewhat related, but remember back in the beginning of season two, Meghan Ory was promoted to season regular and then her role on the show was cut back considerably, and she left the show to do Intelligence on CBS?
I’m thinking it’s a similar situation with MRJ. I can’t see the person wanting to leave be Colin because he’s knee-deep in the story. But MRJ, on the other hand, hasn’t been given a lot this season to work with, so I think it’s really plausible that it’s him who wants to be written off..

The PA about a week ago tweeted that the person dying (at the time we thought it was Happy the Dwarf) was because the actor/actress was unhappy and wanted off the show. They were sure about it. They heard it on the way to set while talking to film members.
Can you post a link to that tweet RG?

ParticipantI could see it being either Snow or Charming – so that one of them (either Josh or Ginny) could stay home and look after the baby. Perhaps Snow dies during childbirth?
I hope not. And Ginny really loves playing Snow White. I don’t think it’s her.
Usually when an actress gets pregnant while appearing on a show, most of the time, it is written into the story and if the actress is OK with that, she stays on the show.

ParticipantThen, I can’t imagine Colin would leave. I mean, he left his band and moved his family to Canada for this show. And he seems to really love the role.
But remember what happened with Dan Stevens, who played Matthew Crawley on “Downton Abbey.” He had gained such a huge fan-base that he thought he’d may hay while the sun shines and has attempted to launch a film career. Colin O’Donoghue has gained such a huge following, he might hedge his bets and go elsewhere, expecting fans to follow after him.
I don’t watch Downton Abbey, so I can’t relate to that.
Anyway,
“The character dies, for real,” Kitsis makes clear — at which point his/her portrayer will, make no mistake, leave the show.
The wording here makes me think whoever is leaving, is someone who’s had a ‘fake death’ before and really, the only character who had a fake death recently was Neal. He “died” in the season two finale but we saw, that he didn’t really die. He woke up in the Enchanted Forest.

ParticipantI think Belle is safe. Hook again, he excels at surviving so I think he’s safe too. The thing I’ve noticed with these polls, they have to throw him in there as a wild card but he’s really not. I think the top candidate is probably Neal.
Well we need to remember what hte PA said. The person wants out. It’s not a writing choice. It’s an acting decision.

ParticipantOkay, well, let’s look at the options in that poll:
Michael Raymond-James (Neal/Baelfire) – I remember Daniel saying in the full review that Neal could die and maybe he could and if he did, hopefully it’s something that’s similar to Rumple in the winter finale, where he makes some grand sacrifice or something. Do something heroic for a change.
Emilie de Ravin (Belle) 17.72% – Doubtful, especially since we know Rumple is coming back, it would really suck to have the other half of rumbelle die.
Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) 17.72% – This man excels at surviving. Not likely.
Jared Gilmore (Henry) 10.13% – he’s been on the cusp of death multiple times but he never actually dies and that’s a good thing because it’s always uncomfortable to see kids, even annoying ones die on screen.
Josh Dallas (David/Prince Charming) 5.06% – Nope. A&E planned to kill him in the pilot and they changed that and it would be too repetitive to try and kill him again this season.
Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret/Snow White) – Oh no.
Jennifer Morrison (Emma) – Doubtful. She’s the lead of the show and the story revolves around her and finding her happy ending. How is it happy or hopeful to kill her now before she even reaches it?
Lana Parrilla (Regina/The Evil Queen) – Also doubtful, especially since she’s going to find her true love soon.

ParticipantI hope we get a countdown too, it got us through last hiatus
I’d love it if we had a marathon counting down to 3B, or even a recap. My mom deleted the first ten episodes on my DVR, so I’m counting on a marathon before the premiere.
