I agree. It’s probably a couple of factors as well, in addition to the hate. Story is probably also involved as well. If an actor doesn’t have a lot of material to work with, they have the option to look elsewhere for work. At the end of the day, they need to make the decision about what’s right for them to do, stay or leave.
See, it doesn’t have to be that way if we would all learn to be open with each other’s theories and what not instead of posts turning into ‘shipper wars.
I agree Eala. Plus, story wise, it doesn’t make any sense to kill Hook now. He had a lot of character development in 3A, to kill him now, would be cheap and a disservice to that growth.
I think generally, when it comes to the forums, it’s the haters who want Hook dead so he won’t be romantic rival for Emma’s heart and that’s really sad too because it also cheapens ST too. Basically, Emma has no other romantic option, she has to be with Neal. I wouldn’t be happy with that if I were a ST ‘shipper.
Apparently MRJ stopped doing his “AskMRJ” thing and has generally been receiving a lot of negative tweets from fans maybe he got fed up?
I didn’t know that. I follow all the cast but wow, then I think it’s him.
Hook’s not going to die you guys. I’m 100% sure that he is safe. The actors who wants off is unhappy with the way things are going. I can’t see that person being Colin when it’s abundantly clear, the person is someone on the cast who obviously isn’t getting a lot of material to work with.
I mean, let’s look at Colin and his happiness factor when it comes to this show:
- Has said that he’ll stay as long as they want him.
- Moved wife and unborn now born son to Vancouver.
- Quit his band of which he’s been in since he was a teen.
- Is always super happy and excited about his role.
- Pretty much constantly expresses loving being Hook

Esmerelda would be nice but yeah, we already have Esmerelda from Hunchback of Notre Dame. It might be too confusing to name WWW that. I go with Victoria.
I used to enjoy talking about theories and what not in general discussion but the reality is, I and none of my CS fellow ‘shippers can really do that anymore because we’re the minority on this site and it’s really sad.
I love the forums and I always will but the environment around here, it’s over the point now where we have to censor ourselves from saying anything to keep the status quo. It’s really uncomfortable and stifling feeling.
Before this ‘shipper stuff got out of hand, we used to have open, polite conversations and sadly, it’s not like that anymore. Articles like today, I try and comment on the stuff that isn’t ‘shippy related but all it takes, is for someone to rant about how this is being promoted and what not and it blows up.
Here’s what I propose, instead of shutting down theories from the opposite side, take a step, let us voice our opinion. This is an open forum and quite frankly, it hasn’t felt very open lately.
And can we all just remember, this is just a show and we’re not the ones who write it. Adam and Eddie and their staff of writers do, and they are going to write it how they want to because this is their fanfiction.
