ParticipantI like that theory too 🙂

ParticipantThat’s true but we never saw Malcolm attempt to kill poor Rumple when he was a kid, or Adam and Eddie are saving that flashback for later.
The Sultan did. Cora only wanted Regina to be Queen and she loved her, even without her heart. Cora’s a saint compared to Pan and the Sultan.

ParticipantBut if she’s born green, I could see Cora going, ‘Ew? A green daughter. She can’t be Queen.” and probably discard her in favor of Regina.
I could see that too. But unless Henry Sr was really and truly under her control from the beginning, how did she spirit the child away to Oz (like I assume she did) without him knowing? Did she fake the child’s death?
Cora could have totally done that too. Or try to kill her. The Sultan did it.

ParticipantIn the pics we’ve seen of Mader in SB, she’s not green though. She is wearing a GIANT green pendant (looks like the one from OZ the G and P) that might be masking her green skin, which means she can turn it on and off, so to speak.
Interesting theory. Sort of like a magic cloaking device. Or if you’ve watched Angel, Jasmine was like that. She was beautiful on the outside but in reality, a giant, ugly thing with bugs.

ParticipantI don’t know honestly. Just thought it was an interesting comment Jane made.

ParticipantI think it could go either way. Both present interesting story options. If she’s born green, it’s something she has to live with. It’s who she is and no magic or whatever can change that. Might even make her an outcast and make her really resent everyone else.
If she’s turned green, either by an apple (it better be green), that would be interesting too but kind of cliched because it’s already been done (Oz: The Great and the Powerful). But I hope whatever Adam and Eddie come up with, it’s good. And tragic. Somehow, I feel the reason she’s green, it has to do with some great tragedy.

ParticipantSo, I was listening to the commentary for The Miller’s Daughter today and Jane Espenson said something, can’t remember the exact wording but basically, she wondered if Rumple and Cora had a baby, what would he or she look like? In other words, would Rumple’s dark one scales or something similar pass down to a child?

ParticipantThe Chat briefly talked about it, but this is a very interesting topic, so who do you think is worse? Jafar was almost murdered by his father, Pan abandoned and then emotionally tortured his kid, and Cora turned her daughter into an unhappy, friendless monster.
I’m glad we have this topic because it’s something I’ve been thinking about lately.
I’d say the Sultan was the worst because he didn’t “almost” murder Jafar, he actually succeeded. I’m pretty sure Jafar was dead and then that magic popped up and revived him. But that is not the only reason why he is the worst. He took his son in but didn’t even acknowledge or love him as his son. He let his “real” son, the one who wanted to leave after adult Jafar showed up at the palace, whip and beat him Jafar. And even as Jafar’s prisoner and an older man, the sultan still doesn’t have remorse for the way he treated him.
2nd place, I would say goes to Pan. I really wondered about this if Pan loved Rumple because after he turned into a boy in Neverland, it looked like he felt remorse for what he did. But in the winter finale, it wasn’t Rumple’s heart that he needed because Rumple wasn’t the one Pan loved the most. It was Felix, his left hand lieutenant.

ParticipantThat’s not terrible to say.
We learned early on this season from Tinker Bell, when true loves aren’t together, their lives and happiness are ruined. Look what happened to Snow when she couldn’t be with Charming in EF past, she drank a potion and became dark Snow, basically, reverted to the worst version of herself. When Hook’s not with Emma, she doesn’t believe in happy endings and she’s skeptical of them.

ParticipantThank you @RumplesGirl 🙂 I’m getting tired of this too.
Something else we can do, to keep our sanity here on the forums, is stay out of the SF thread and generally, stick to posting here if it’s directly related to CS. I think we should all do that. Just keep to our respective threads where we know it’s safe haven. As tempting as it is to venture into the opposing thread (I often wonder myself what the other side could be talking about) I don’t go there.
We should all practice that, to keep ourselves sane and generally, to keep the peace.
