As long as Hook keeps on showing a little bit of chest hair and keeps wearing that red vest, I don’t mind.  🙂

Apathetic – showing or feeling no interest, enthusiasm, or concern.
All of these are very good points.
I think Malcolm cared for Rumple as much as he could or was capable of, but it was never as a father/son type of relationship. Â There was an article before the episode premiered, that Malcolm saw Rumple was more of like a “tag-along” ; like Malcolm was burdened having him around. Â But he still cared enough for him to bring him to the spinsters, in case he really did plan on abandoning him (before Neverland), at least Rumple was with people who could care for him.
If Malcolm felt complete apathy towards Rumple, he would have left him years ago.

I don’t think he hates Rumple either. But I also don’t think that the opposite of love is hate: it’s indifference. I think Malcolm isn’t totally indifferent to Rumple, but he’s pretty close.

Random thought: Does killing Pan kill Rumple because Pan’s a boy now and so it’s like back to the future, Pan never grows up, he doesn’t have a son, so no Rumple?
I think that only works when you go back in time and kill the father before the child is even born.

Shipping is just one aspect of Once, it is not the basis of the show. Shipping comes about because of the story, not the other way round (If that happened then RumBelle’s screentime would be entirely one eternal lovefest).
I agree. Â What attracted to me Once first was the story. Â ‘Shipping comes second. Â I didn’t ‘ship anyone with anyone very heavily until ‘Skin Deep’.
I think the ‘shipping wars are pretty contained here on the forums. Â I hate them in general too because I know they can get really nasty real quick. Â I was a Star Wars fan before I was a Oncer, and I had fansite. Â (This was back during the prequels and the two big ‘ships were Anakin/Padme and Obidala.. I was an Obidala ‘shipper).
‘Shippers would come onto my fansite and treat it like it was their playground and harass me and other ‘shippers. Â Thankfully, Â none of that has been happening here. Â We all pretty much stay in our own respective ‘shipper threads. So, really, it could be worse. Â We could have bullies from both sides harassing each other. Â But thankfully, we don’t.
