ParticipantWere you as surprised as I was that Jafar turned Amara into his famous snake staff? Obviously Jafar needs it for his spell with the genies but will Amara ever be able to break free?
I actually said aloud, seconds before we saw it happen, maybe she becomes the staff and boom! It happened.
I hope Amara breaks free somehow. Clearly, she’s still in there since we saw it blink. I wonder if maybe she shares a psychic connection with Jafar or still has some power left.
Just before she died, Amara said: “you love me.” To which Jafar responded, “no you love me,” which I think implies that Jafar never loved Amara and had been planning to do away with her from the start, just as soon as he had magic and a plan.
I really have to give props to Naveen. It confused me at first when we saw the adult Jafar, that he seemed like a nice person and not at all like the little boy in the first act.
And it really seemed like he loved Amara, though I figured early on, something must have happened to her in the flashback because we don’t see her in the present. I thought she was going to back stab Jafar and she was the reason he wanted all the genie’s wishes. To bring back his love, her.

ParticipantI can totally get why we ‘ship CS. There are trust issues when it comes to ST and they’re not trust issues that are simply going to go away, even if they reunite. The thing I come back to, Baelfire knows what it felt like when he was abandoned and he did the one thing, you don’t do to another orphan: he abandoned Emma.
Also, if you re-watch the Journey to Neverland recap, the narrator says that he abandoned Emma.
And like Henry said to Jefferson:
Anything’s better than nothing. She’ll spend her whole life wondering why you left her. Not knowing is the worst.
Then, there’s also this quote which goes hand in hand with what Henry says:
If you leave someone at least tell them why, because what’s more painful than being abandoned; is knowing you’re not worth an explanation.
Emma got an explanation but the problem is, it was eleven years too late. She spent those last eleven years alone.
At least now, Emma is realizing that there’s someone out there (Killian) who truly loves her and is putting her needs first above his own. And that’s really the kind of love that she deserves, selfless true love. I don’t see her getting that from Neal when he won’t even respect the fact that she wants to move on with her life.

ParticipantAnd now we know that Jafar wanted revenge on the Sultan because he’s his father, so Jafar has daddy issues.

Participantyou know how I mentioned awhile back, how the villains on this show know what’s going on with CS?
here’s a really nice rundown villains who have tried to keep couples apart.

ParticipantI hope she’ll be able to make a decision without Neal putting her under pressure – and that he’ll respect that decision.
I hope so too but not likely.

Participant@Captain Eala, let me give you a cyber hug.

I agree with everything you said and I’m sorry about what your mom went through too. ST ‘shippers who say stuff like that, Emma choosing Hook is the easy choice, clearly, are only looking out for one-half of their ‘ship. Neal and have a twisted view of how Emma factors into the pairing as a whole.
For me, the reason I ‘ship CS is because I care equally about Emma and Killian’s happiness. I care about both of them as characters. I love their stories and how perfectly, they mirror each other. I love them both.
Emma and Killian’s journey is not going to be an easy one. They are going to face obstacles (most likely, Neal). We already see Emma wanting to move on from Neal and start over. That is huge. She’s actually making the difficult choice to move on because you never forget about your first love. A part of Emma will always love Neal but Emma also recognizes it’s unhealthy for her in the long run to continue clinging to the past.
This is called character development. Both Emma and Killian are realizing this together, with him referring to Milah as his first love. Which, by the way, was not an easy thing for him to do considering he’s spent 300 years trying to avenge her murder. There is nothing easy about both of their journeys. Nothing for CS is going to be easy but they will always be stronger together, than apart.
Then, I see Neal always taking the easy option. He admitted that he took the easy out where Emma was concerned, running away and just not trying. Then, he resorts to using the one thing he hates the most in this world, magic, to help him find an easy way to Neverland. Dude’s been alive for almost as long Hook’s been alive and he’s still making the wrong choices.
And still, not putting Emma first, ignoring her pleas to let her move on with her life because she wants to be happy. He’ll happily cause her more pain if it means she’ll give in and give him another chance.

ParticipantSo happy today after all the killing off Hook talk! Captain Swan is here and is gonna be a big part of the story that’s told going forward
That’s true. Also,
“Also, just because someone truly loves someone [on Eddy saying that Emma loves Neal], it doesn’t mean they wind up together.”

ParticipantMaybe Emma and Hook are talking about the kiss and what Neal being with them, means for them moving forward. that’s the kind of talk they need to have anyway.

ParticipantAlso, when you see the pics side-by-side, the Darling bro theory is all the more convincing:
Yup.
Contact lens are a new thing. They might not be available in Storybrooke.

ParticipantHey guys,
I asked Adam this question but would really like to hear from you all, your thoughts.
@AdamHorowitzLA Why are Regina & Robin Hood perfect for each other as True Love's? I'm writing a thing and I need input.
