When Bae was dancing around the fire when Pan was the Pied Piper and Rumple magicked him back with him, Bae got mad and told Rumple that he should have given him the CHOICE of whether he wanted to go back with him or if he wanted to stay with Pan. He said that if Rumple had given him the choice he would have chosen to go home with him. Then fast forward to when Bae is on Hook’s ship. Hook is the Captain of his ship, he has made it clear that he gives the orders and people follow them.
Yet when Bae gets mad at him because of what happened to his mother, Hook tells him the truth and then tries to convince him that he can change and that they can be a family together – he tries to convince Bae to stay with, but he doesn’t force him to stay or order him to stay – he gives him the choice. That is exactly what Bae said he wanted Rumple to do, to give him the choice to stay and that if given that choice he would take it. Yet when presented with the same scenario later on he does NOT make the choice to stay.
Very good catch. I love how our ‘ship is all about choices here. As far as Emma is concerned, she has never been in a position (other than putting Henry up for adoption) directly involved in the choices/major decisions about her life. Her parents gave her up, so she could both saved from the curse and so she could save them from it.
Neal made the choice to leave and probably tipped off the cops about the stolen watches as well. He was making all the choices that yes, he probably thought were the right ones for Emma but failed to realize the consequences of those choices in the long run.
And here we have Emma, who is actively choosing to kiss Hook. The last time she did this, it was with Graham. Yes, he kissed her first but she didn’t want that first kiss. The second one, she initiated. It’s her taking a leap of faith and choosing to live in the moment. And a kiss like that, this is the kind of kiss that leads to so much more later. It isn’t going to be a one-time thing. It’s going to happen again and again. .

Anyone having ONCE 103 flashbacks? Compromising situation? Does he have choose between his wife and Alice?
probably not in a romantic sense but yeah, I get that vibe too.

If a genie’s magic is blocked by silver, and if a genie is also tied to his wishes, then (crack theory time) can the wishes be “kept safe” if you keep them in silver? (that sounded better in my head but do you see what I’m trying to say)

Also interesting to note: genies and silver do not mix (the silver bars burned Cyrus’ arm in the cage, it’s why he couldn’t escape even using his genie powers). Not sure how that fits into everything, but it is a genie weakness that somehow blocks his magic.
