ParticipantAnd the article mentioned, the kiss comes after a moment of triumph – whatever that is. Not after a life or death situation, it’s coming from a positive place. Positive energy, positive vibes. And we know Hook fancies Emma and she likes him. Again, we see their romance develop in real time.
That is ALL good for our ‘ship because it means, the feelings are REAL.

ParticipantEmma’s still actively choosing to kiss him. And she’s also realizing the person who’s making everything possible, looking for Henry and helping her, following through on his promises — is Hook. Someone’s putting her first.

ParticipantOkay, here’s something else, also relating to the ‘choosing’
I’m paraphrasing another post I read like a second ago on tumblr.
We have Milah from season 2, episode 4 “The Crocodile” > I know it’s primarily a rumbelle episode but stay with me here. The key theme this episode highlighted was ‘choice’ . Milah was so miserable in her life that she chose to leave with Hook and Belle made it very clear to her father and Rumple in the dwarf mines after her rescue, the choice of who she wants to be with is hers because it’s her life. No one decides her destiny but her.
Then, we have Captain Swan, teasing us earlier on that their relationship was all about ‘choice‘. There was an interview Adam and Eddie gave earlier last season about ‘choice‘
There are the people that are right for you and there are the people that are wrong for you, and then there are the people that you just choose.
Again, with the choosing.
There’s also the hospital bed scene exchange between Hook and Emma from “In the Name of the Brother” , which also referenced ‘choice‘ and Emma once again, choosing him.
If I were to pick dead guy of the year, I’d pick you.
Time again, last season, Emma consistently chose Hook. When she arrived at the hospital “In the Name of the Brother” her first and primarily concern was to hide Hook from Gold. Look what else is going on in this scene, Belle just lost her memory and doesn’t know wtf is going on and Emma’s concern is for Hook’s safety. Also, the very last scene of that episode I believe, when Gold stopped by the loft and threatened the Charming family, if Emma doesn’t leave with him now to look for Bae, he’s going to kill Hook. So, Emma leaves with him to spare Hook’s life. She’s choosing him again
Now, back to that picture.
Let’s examine the body language here because omg, look at who’s actively initiating the kiss? It’s Emma. She’s pulling him towards her, again by the lapels on his jacket (and yes, I love saying that). She’s making a conscious decision to kiss him and JMo even refers to it as a ‘human’ choice. JMo could have referred to it as an animalistic desire to kiss Hook but that’s not the word she used. If she did, there would be no debate right now. She’s actively choosing to kiss him.
What happens after the kiss is what I’m curious about. Because there’s bound to be remaining tension. The feelings aren’t going to go away. They’re still going to be there and it’s what happens next, is going to be Emma’s choice from here on out. Which is also something we’ve said time and again. It won’t be Neal or Hook’s choice, it’ll be hers and I’m 100% sure that she will choose Hook, or shall I say, Killian Jones.

ParticipantMy previous comment didn’t post because the forums broke 🙁
So, this was a kiss between Snowing in Lost Girl.

And this is what we got today!

Between Emma and Hook.
A few things here to note:
Snowing has been an awesome parallel to CS so far. And the first pic of Snowing kissing, mirrors the same body language shared between Emma and Hook in the second. The way Snow/Emma grab the lapels of the jacket. I loved how JMo described the moment as “very human” . Just read an awesome analysis of this on tumblr . The meta made some very interesting points.
JMo could have used animalistic, which would mean lust, passion, raw — which I love my saucy NC-17 fanfiction too — but “human” — that takes on a whole other different meaning. It’s a real connection between them. I have a sneaking feeling even after we get this kiss, there’s still going to be tension between Emma and Hook. A kiss that is ‘very human’ like that isn’t something that’s going to go away. Tension will still be there after the kiss.
It’s also interesting to note that two times we’ve seen Emma in the present kiss a guy (present, not a flashback), it’s been her to initiate said kiss. She did it with Graham and it’s happening with Hook.

And it’s more meaningful because Emma’s the one who initiates it.

ParticipantI was talking about next weeks episode being a Neal/Rumple centered episode and how it will probably be paralleling their “Nasty Habits”. And then I said that there would be a contrast with “Good Form” and is a Killian (and Emma?) centered episode. The names of the episodes are the complete opposites of each other. Perfect for comparison/contrast. And isn’t that interesting?
Yup. Do you see the sneak peek for next episode? Neal’s reunited with his dad and there’s a line that he says, ” “I’ll do what needs to be done.” His face has no emotion whatsoever. He’s like the Terminator. It’s creepy..
I remember what Yoda said to Luke in The Empire Strikes Back, “Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.”
And then, there’s Ginny’s tweet from earlier this summer, referring to Neal as Voltermort Jr.
https://twitter.com/ginnygoodwin/status/383637699803873280
Emma’s magic comes from True Love, good magic and Neal has been touched by dark magic. And Voltermort from Harry Potter is the Dark One.
I doubt that was accidental or her being cheeky.
Whereas, Hook’s back to his old self, pre-Hook, Killian Jones and a better version of himself. Like how Belle made Rumple want to go back to being the better version himself.

ParticipantStill, this episode is called “Nasty Habits” and the episode after is Good Form. I think we’re going to get some interesting compare/contrasts coming up.

Participant“I’ll do what needs to be done.”
Got a really bad dark vibe from that line.
