ParticipantDo you have a tumblr Eala? Because it feels like I read the same exact words about that being a Freudian slip.
I’m not on tumblr no, but I DO follow a lot of blogs (including yours and MysteryKats!) to see what they’re saying! And yes I follow the blog where it was mentioned that it was a Freudian slip
A lot of things get mashed together in my head on tumblr haha.Awww.
Wrote another meta yesterday. Nothing really that new since it’s based on two twitter questions Jen answered on Sunday during the episode.

ParticipantWhat about her apples?
Well, being lazy, I’ll paste here some thoughts I had written about that back in the first season:
In the season finale, “A Land Without Magic”, Regina asks Snow “Did you know that apples stand for health and wisdom?” which is quite true. European art traditionally depicts an apple as the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge described in the book of Genesis. Adam and Eve were happy in the Garden of Eden before eating the apple but after they gained knowledge from eating it they were banished from paradise. The apple plays a similar role in other cultures. In Greek mythology, Hera, the queen of the gods, grew apples. Eris, the goddess of discord, threw one of these apples onto a table occupied by Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. The apple was said to be intended “for the fairest of all” and all three goddesses immediately disrupted the peaceful feast by fighting for the apple. When Prince Paris of Troy awarded the apple to Aphrodite, Hera and Athena sought revenge by supporting the Greeks against the Trojans in the Trojan War as described in Homer’s Iliad.
So the apple reminds us that knowledge leads to a loss of innocence and to conflict. This theme is reminiscent of Henry’s loss of innocence when he discovers that Regina has another life as a vicious killer and she is not just the loving mother who cared for him when he was little. His newly acquired knowledge, symbolized by the apple, must lead him into conflict with her that will eventually culminate in him choosing to eat the poison apple turnover in order to protect Emma in episode 21, “An Apple Red As Blood”. If Henry winds up living with Emma he will have earned his escape from Regina through courage and half a lifetime of tears.

ParticipantThe kiss was mentioned at NYCC and Jen volunteered that information herself. And right after it, she even spoke some more about CS, so we have every reason to believe there’s going to be a kiss coming soon. And then we’re supposed to be getting something BIG on Friday.

ParticipantNow if Adam & Eddie had a ‘let’s share your OUAT fanfiction’ day, omg, I think I would be scared. Like I even get paranoid when one of my parent’s watch what I’m writing and I’m 30. Just the idea of the cast sitting around, reading different fanfics about their characters.

ParticipantWhether he does or not remains to be seen. JMo also gave an interview at NYCC that obisgirl touched on and these lines in it are VERY interesting:
Hook is the one who is helping her right now. Hook is the one who is present. He’s the one who’s sort of surprising her by following through on what he promises to do. And seems to be doing this very selflessly instead of selfishly. And so she’s definitely taken aback by how different he is than she expected.
Between the above quote and the fact that she said Hook reminds her of Neal, well, she’s obviously comparing the two (thanks again obisgirl!). It’s a Freudian slip – JMo is unconsciously giving us a comparison there. Basically that she expects Killian to do the wrong thing in every situation and is surprised when he doesn’t. Killian is following through on his promises whereas Neal didn’t. He’s acting selflessly instead of selfishly unlike Neal. And Emma is learning the difference between the two of them.
That’s where JMo’s mindset is at the moment. It seems like she doesn’t ship SF either.
