ParticipantMaleficent was a grown adult before Emma was conceived. She can’t be a grown up Lily when Lily was a teenager at the same time Emma was a teenager.
Well, there you go!
My new theory is that Agnes is anyone but Lily from Breaking Glass.

ParticipantMy problem with this is still the same.
Lily was brought, cast originally as a Latina girl. (There are screencaps to remind everyone that she is Latina). She was supposed to directly parallel Emma’s relationship with Regina, who is also Latina. To not make the character of Lily, not Latina all of the sudden is really bad. And coming from a show that thus far, has been pretty good in the casting department, this has fail written all over it.
Agnes’ audition may have been really excellent but if Once plans to have Lily back, I think it would make more sense to actually cast a Latina actress to play the adult her.
My new theory is that Lily refers to Tiger Lily from Neverland.

ParticipantI’m just going to say it. If Agnes is indeed Adult! Lily then she has been woefully miscast. To take an original character who was conceived as being Latina (for whatever reason, in this case to make the Emma/Lily Emma/Regina parallel) and turn her into a white woman is pretty horrible.
I agree. I mean, I think the whole point of the character of Lily and making her Latina was so we could connect with her Regina. Suddenly re-conning that whole thing and making not Latina is really…very bad. Granted, the actress who played Lily only appeared in one episode earlier this season but I think we have eyeballs and remember that she was indeed Latina and Agnes clearly is not.
I would not be surprised if some Latina Once fans would be in an uproar over this.

ParticipantHopefully, there’s good pics available so we can finally put to rest who she is playing.
Given that they’ve been shooting 4×18 for a little over a week, I think, it’s likely that Agnes is in 4×19 and not 4×18, which is Cruella centric. Maybe if we don’t get pics, we’ll get a title and that will help.
Titles are always good too, though sometimes they can be incredibly vague too.

ParticipantDay 18- Favourite FTL Outfit
For women – Emma’s fairytale princess ball gown from Snow Drifts (3×21). She looked so beautiful in that gown and I always wanted to see what she looked like wearing a princess dress, she looked so natural and perfect.

For men – I have to go with Killian’s red vest. There’s just something about that red vest that is just so sexy.

February 17, 2015 at 12:13 pm in reply to: EW Spoiler Room (2/13/15): Can Belle ever forgive Rumple on Once Upon a Time? #296157obisgirl
ParticipantAlso, Rumple is a character whose cunning is not dependent on magic (as we saw with Mr. Gold in S1 before he had magic)
In season one, yes, he was not dependent on magic. Season 2 and onwards, he is more than dependent on magic now. He’s obsessed with it. Rumple has an addiction. And I think that he still thinks he can have both magic and Belle, but he can’t. Belle showed him that he can’t. But his quest to find the author in 4B, I’m pretty sure will about finding a loophole (because Rumple is good at finding those), a way to have both Belle and magic.
I’m not sure if the culmination of this arc will be removing Rumple’s power through true love’s kiss. I think that would be better saved for the final season. I think Adam and Eddy plan Once for at least 7 seasons, I think, so the end of the series is a long way off still.

ParticipantI think this has more to do with the alternate page 23 from the book, showing Regina and Robin meeting in the tavern. If we know there’s an alternate page that tells another story, then it’s within the realm of possibility that there could be an alternate version of Robin Hood’s character.
Oh God, please noooooooo!!! I don’t need that kind of confusion in my head when it comes to this show.

ParticipantThere is no way they can explain away the recast in-show without screwing something up. Belle and Marian have acknowledged Sean Maguire as the Tom Ellis Robin. Sean Maguire Robin is around chronologically before Tom Ellis Robin. Fans have accepted Robin was recast, the casual audience aren’t that bothered, why try and fix something that isn’t broken?
I agree. It’s just going to further confuse the audience and make them question Tinkerbell’s pixie dust magic pointing to OQ as being soulmates/possible true love, when there’s this alternate Robin Hood. It was a recast. We know it was a recast. I don’t need it to be explained in-show why.
