I hate the idea that he has to “win” her back as if he can either 1) show up with flowers and candy and “golly, honey, I’m really sorry. It won’t happen again” and make everything right as rain…which makes Belle look like a naive idiot. 2) OR he performs X number of actions and Belle says, “yes that was the correct number of moves! You may now get your woman back!” Which…again, makes her look silly and supercilious. The fist half of this arc is going to have Rumple as the Big Bad working along side and directing the other three Big Bad’s in how to take away the happy endings of the heroes. It’s going to solidify for Belle that Rumple is now past saving and that he loves his power more. This idea that after the QoD arc is ended Rumple is going to be really sorry and will somehow manage to ‘win” Belle back (what a horrible phrase. I hate and loathe when men say they can win a woman as if she is some object that takes the right number of moves and strategy to make theirs) makes the writers look like children who are deeply out of touch with romantic relationships.
Did I ever mention about how much I love your posts in regard to Rumbelle lately @rumplesgirl ? Because I really do. You hit on all the points perfectly. Especially this one.

I loved Emma’s pink dress. She was so beautiful. What I love about the dress is that it’s so different from previous dresses we’d seen her wear in past dates. The occasion is different too. It isn’t for a con and she made a point to ignore what was going on around her and focus on the date with Killian and have a good time. And Emma looked so pretty with her hair done up, the make-up and just really beautiful. I feel like her dressing up for that first date, this is the first time she’s showing the real her. Emma has so many walls that we rarely see this softer side of her and this dress is a statement that she can be this way and still be the tough Emma. And I love that. Except for why would we need to see Lily again? I get the feeling after Emma turned her back on Lily, that was the last time she saw her. They didn’t resume their friendship.

I don’t think it’s Lily just because I think the audience made more out of the character than was intended.

…I don’t think Kristin looks particularly young but Agnes still seems a little old to be brought in for Mal. Maybe Cruella…
I can see Agnes as a young Mal. Not Cruella though. If Adam and Eddy want to introduce Camelot (not likely since Camelot is a plot device on this show), I can see her as a Morgan Le Fey aka Black Fairy.
@MatthewPaul, certainly is suggestive of Lily, though I still think that even the actress dyed her hair she would still be miscast in terms of appearance.

I can’t say they’re playing the same characters. Casting is not even close to being perfect if they are the same character.
Anyway, Adam’s reluctance to answer much about Lily honestly makes me suspect that’s who Agnes Bruckner is playing even more.
It makes me think the opposite.

I think it would be better for Belle not to be with Rumple at all. Even if she takes him back, how can she trust him again? A relationship without trust isn’t easy. Trust is very difficult to regain once it’s lost, especially when it’s someone you love. I feel like Adam and Eddy would drag out their relationship as much as possible until it’s inevitable end and that’s not what I want for Belle.
I want to see what Belle looks like on her own. I want to see her grow as a person and see her discover who she is without Rumple. I want to see if Belle can discover her own happiness.
