Remind me again what Sydney is lying about?? Other than the phone records situation, I don’t recall other lies (from this episode).
We don’t know that he is lying. He said something about the phone records not lying – maybe he’s right. If the records are accurate, all we know is that an 8 minute phone call was made between David’s and Kathryn’s PHONES. Who knows who was on the end of either of them.
Sidney lied to Emma about being fired by Regina in ‘The Fruit of the Poisonous Tree.’ ‘Cause remember, we saw at the end of the episode, that he was still working for her.
And those phone records could have been falsified. I didn’t think it was strange at first that Regina printed them out at her office but yeah, she could have edited them to make it look like David had lied — which he has done in the past.

Gold: “What did you come here to steal?”
Belle: “Your heart, of course, and this time I won’t take ‘go’ for an answer.”
Aww! Oooh, that sounds like a very good Belle/Mr. Gold fanfic idea. I’d write it but I don’t have the time, but if i did, it would surely be NC-17/R!

So Robert Carlyle just replied to my question regarding Mr. Gold’s sleeping attire. Are you ready??? Mr. Gold would wear . . . gold speedos!!! Appearantly my wish for the Full Monty thong didn’t have enough bling!!
Awesome 😆

I’ve heard a lot of theories about August but the one i liked the best (and im sorry i don’t know where i heard it) is that he is the writer of keeper of the book and he’s there to help Emma make everyone see the truth of what/who they are.
that’s probably about right. it makes sense, considering their banter by the Well in ‘What Happened to Frederick.’
@hjbau wrote:
So let’s say that is true. That August is lying about the lemurs. Why? Why would he do that? Does that mean he has never be out of town and is just pretending to be from out of town? Or is he trying to gauge Red’s reaction to that comment? Or are they just saying August is a liar and that’s it?
August, or maybe the writers, could also be really bad at geography.

In the Peter Pan story, he would leave Neverland to visit with Wendy and her brothers. It is similar in SB in that Henry leaves to visit Emma and he seems to be the only one who is able to leave- even Emma crashed into the sign before leaving SB. In Neverland, Peter Pan doesn’t age, he stays a boy forever. In SB, he seems to be the only character who has aged, as Regina adopted him when he was 2 or 3 weeks old and he is now 10. I think maybe at some point, Regina will have to choose between SB or Henry, as he will continue to grow old and eventually die- that will be her redemption to finally put someone else before her self and she will choose to save Henry. Of course I could be way off on this….I have been thinking about it ever since the first episode when Emma asks Henry if he is Pinocchio and he says no- he never answers her question. Thoughts or feedback?
Then, Henry would be the opposite of Peter Pan.

I don’t think that Henry is going to have a fairytale land counterpart. I think his counterpart is just that he is Snow White and Prince Charming’s grandson.
I have to agree. He doesn’t have a FT counterpart like Emma. They are, who they are.

First photo of EQ and her mother, Cora, from episode 18:
Series Creators Kitsis and Horowitz have stated that evil is not born, it is created. Barbara Hershey will appear as Cora in a multi episode arc that will play out into season two. She has an interesting connection to Rumplestiltskin and may have a dubious agenda of her own. Her story will reveal just why and how Regina became so evil and cold hearted.
“Girls say they’ll never grow up to be like their mothers, but evil comes from somewhere,” says executive producer Edward Kitsis. “Cora would look at the mother from Black Swan and think she was weak.”
Okay, for sure, we’re going to see Regina before she was Evil Regina. Look at how covered up she is!
I have to admit, I’m not sure how I feel about meeting Regina’s mom, who sounds more like a conniving, manipulative, power hungry mother. She reminds me of Sylar’s mom in Heroes, during the 1st season. Which now, I’m starting to think of more as a trope. Making the mommies evil so we feel bad for the children.

I think it’s about the EQ. It would be too much of a link to the hearts she collects! It doesn’t have to be the EQ’s heart that is meant, but maybe of someone who’s responsible for her becoming like this (and I don’t mean Snow xD)
I don't know if it's in this episode or in 18/19 or something but they have an episode about Regina where her mother appears. http://www.tvline.com/2012/01/once-upon-a-time-barbara-hershey-evil-queen-mother/ I think it may well be about how her influence turned the EQ the way she is.
I also think this is the episode where we learn what Snow White did to make the Evil Queen angry, although I read an episode summary yesterday (don't remember if it was for this episode or a different one), where it said that Regina was given a choice: to choose between true love or a loveless marriage with the king, and the description hinted that maybe her mother wanted her to choose the marriage with the king, over true love.
Because wealth = power, and True love doesn't = power. Which, if Regina's mother is the one responsible for the loveless marriage and not Snow White, Regina has “mommy issues;” not annoying “step-daughter issues.”

ParticipantMaybe Rumple realized helping the Evil Queen was the only way to ultimately stop her.
