1. Why is Emma Swan the “key” to breaking the curse?
The only thing I can think of is, is that the curse needs someone ‘uncursed’ to bring back the happy endings. A facilitator. Emma is that person and if you think about her history in the real world, getting thrown into the foster care system so early and getting into trouble later in her teen years, she is the perfect person to relate to show people of Storybrooke, life doesn’t always work out but you have the power to change it if you really want to. (i.e. Emma’s speech to Ashley in the laundry room in The Price of Gold).

2. Will Emma Swan need to be sacrificed in order to break the curse?
This was talked about on the OUAT fan podcast in one of their feedback episodes. The theory is, if Emma does sacrifice, maybe she will literally, be re-born as baby Emma. Also, look at where she had Henry? Pheonix, Arizona. The ‘pheonix’ according to legend, is a bird that continually rises from the dead.

10. Is Emma Swan’s ability to tell when people are lying a mystical power?
Let the debate begin!I think it is, but it doesn’t always work and the reason why is because she is blinded by her anger towards Regina. Anger always clouds one’s judgement.

Participant😯 I can’t believe that the writers didn’t know the origin of Mary Margaret’s name. They’re playing with ginny 😆

Just re watched Price of Gold, there were a few things that tie in here.
1) Rumpel told Cinderella that the magic wand was pure evil, and that all magic comes with a price. So are fairies playing around with good and evil in their use of magic, trying to use evil for good?
It could be like Palpatine’s speech to Anakin in Revenge of the Sith at the opera. Where Palpatine twists how the Jedi are viewed as more evil, than good. But it’s all a matter of perspective. Maybe the fairies think that they are doing good, but from our point of view, enslaving the dwarfs to work for them, is evil.

It will probably be much more complicated then that. Regina still has Belle over Mr.Gold’s head, so he could very well be helping her at some point.
Maybe, if and when Gold finds out about Belle and that Regina had her locked, that would certainly tip him in favor of working more actively with Emma against Regina.

ParticipantI noticed that too. But it was a bit of a let down (at first) that Regina was her name to start with. Now that I think about it though, it makes sense that she would get to keep her real name since she has immunity from the curse in Storybrooke. She crushed Graham’s heart 🙁

Favorite moments: When Mary Margaret came back to the gathering at the end and Granny lit her candle. It seemed like MM decided to hold her head high and not let other people’s opinions dictate what she does or how she feels.
That was a beautiful scene.

It did seem a little weird, considering he had just blatantly used the power of “please” to command her to sit.
That was awesome 😆 I’m with doxcen with the reason why he doesn’t use “please” all the time with the Queen, is because the writer’s are keeping him from abusing it.

Least favorite: When David chickens out about telling Kathryn that he is involved/ connected / in love with MM. I wanted to throttle him.
Me, too. This was my least favorite David episode because of that.
@NONNIE wrote:
I think his inability to connect or commit to MM is the reason their kisses DO NOT BREAK THE CURSE.
You’re probably right about that.

I think Robert Carlyle recently tweeted they actually had close to 60 minutes worth of Rumbelle scenes for Skin Deep. So I’m sure some of the problem was the story had to be edited to fit the time constraints.
Hope we’ll get the missing scenes in the Season DVD!
I saw that on my tumblr. There’s actually a twitter campaign going on, I think, to make that 60 minutes Director’s Cut available on the DVD.
