If it takes locks of hair from the darkest souls to create the curse (and I noticed Rumple wasn’t among those dark souls) maybe a counter-curse can be created with locks from the lightest souls…and Rumple kept a bit of Snow’s hair…
that’s interesting.

IThen again, maybe King George isn’t dead. Could he possibly be sent into some sort of exile—either from King Midas or James?
I hadn’t thought of that. Exile is possible too, but that’s a “very extreme” measure to take. Even if he were exiled somewhere (still in FT land), he would pop up somewhere in Storybrooke.

The last thing I have is a comparison theory of Fairytale Land’s landscape (at least the part that was seen by Dreamy and Nova). Maybe it’s just overthinking, but what I immediately thought of when I saw the wide view with the winding river in the middle was the current opening logo of Disney movies used since 2006.
I thought that looked familiar.

Does anyone else wonder if the eyes were a reference to Snow White, whose hair is dark as night and lips as red as blood, according to the Disney version?
I had never thought of that connection. I always thought of the Huntsman’s wolf (in the real world anyway), much like spirit guides. They show a person his/her proper path.

Participantthat’s possible too.

I think we all need someone to translate for us; we need subtitles ๐ ๐
and oh yeah, I looked up Robert’s bio on Wikipedia and it was his middle son, he was the inspiration for the voice of Rumpelstiltskin.
the full video of the pane is finally available on hulu

Another thought is that Rumpel hates fairies, but he also has a thing against nuns in general. According to the Evil Queen, clerics tried to cleanse Belle’s soul and helped lead to her “suicide”. So maybe on top of his bitterness or competition with fairies he hates anything associated with the “death” of Belle. It may be just my shipper heart talking but I thought is was worth mentioning.
Ha! I like that!! That may be part of it!
I was thinking about this last night, and I think this theory is somewhat flawed. I say that because the EQ said clerics and nuns helped to cleanse Belle’s soul; not fairies. I guess what I’m saying is, nuns or religious folk in fairytale land, that’s their role. That’s who they are.
So, I don’t think Mr. Gold’s/Rumple’s hatred of the nuns aka fairies, relates to Belle. There’s something else going on.

ParticipantI spotted this on my tumblr, and it makes sense.
A fan figured out a way that August could be Baelfire regardless of how many centuries have passed after โDesperate Soulsโ.
The writers of Once Upon a Time have been known to use stories that arenโt your typical fairytales, but still have Disney films made about them like Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, etc. What about Peter Pan?
What if Baelfire managed to end up in place where Rumpelstiltskin may have not been able to retrieve him for some reason? A place like Neverland. Baelfire could have been one of Peter Panโs lost boys. It would certainly put a new spin on the phrase, โI lost him.โ
We all know that people who find themselves in Neverland never age. It is possible that Bae could have somehow escaped the curse and found himself in the real world as a 14 year old boy.
What do you think?
