ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
Robert’s accent is so thick, I had to look up what he was referencing for inspiration for how to play Rumple.
He was talking about commedia dell’arte or Italian comedy.

According to OUAT creators, Rumple is neither fully evil nor fully good, but has “shades of gray”:

My theory is that it'll be Rumple's son. Plus, I read that Belle is going to be in the season finale. Might we see Rumple/Mr. Gold risking all to save her from Regina?
That’s always how I’ve thought of Rumple. Like HRG from Heroes, in season 1.
😯 I'm excited for the finale now.
Hmmm…

I love the computer software comparison :).OOH or maybe if he made the curse whenever Belle was living with him he made it to where the curse wouldn’t work on either of them. Then he didn’t realize that it worked on belle because he thought she was dead.
Wow. My head hurts. 🙂
that’s very good Not your head hurting, the theory. 😀 I like it.

I kind of think of him as a computer software designer who sells his software but has created hidden passwords so that he can still get into the system even after he has sold it. He wasn’t the one who enacted the curse but because he created it, he had created ways he could still manipulate his way through it in order to remember. I have no idea how he did it. Maybe that’s what he needed the wand for.
😀 Awesome comparison. There is definitely a loophole in the curse even the Evil Queen wasn’t aware of. but she should have thought of it because he made the Dark Curse.
that’s an interesting theory about why Rumple needed the wand.
Josh Dallas is magical. He can cure Bieber fever.
the fairies to me, felt like Jedi. they have very strict rules. faeries are not allowed to love and their only purpose (other than occasionally granting wishes) is to keep FT land running properly.
I forgot about that part. Yup, that would be a very good reason for Rumple to hate the nuns/faeries.
I loved that scene, the one with the guy eating the carrot and staring blankly at Mary Margaret and Leroy. That actor was awesome. He reminded me Bugs Bunny. 😆
I thought maybe he’s the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
