It seems to me that Rumplestiltskin is not as “dark” as the original Dark One. What I mean is that the previous Dark One really did not want to be the Dark One. He really went out of his way to get Rumplestiltskin to kill him and assume his power.
Now I know Rumplestiltskin is lonely and certainly missing his son and now his lovely Belle. But Rumplestiltskin has not yet found a successor. You’d think after “centuries” he would have found another desperate soul if he really found the curse a burden.
that is a very good point! although, maybe at one point, he might have wanted Baelfire to be his successor. but baelfire either died or ran away.

2. He wants to get out of the curse but he does not want to die. Therefore, he has spent his lifetime trying to find an alternate way of getting out of the curse. But in this case, why didn’t he go ahead and let Belle’s kiss finish working? Seems he still needs his powers for some other reason. Either he is trying to keep the Evil Queen from controlling all of FTL?
OMG, I don’t want Rumple to die if the curse is broken. That last part is very plausible. I don’t want the Evil Queen to control FT land either.

ParticipantI posted a very long, detailed theory about the Evil Queen being Rumple’s wife.
obisgirl
ParticipantI agree.
He even joked to Belle about skinning children, so I don’t think he hurts kids.

ParticipantThat is a very fascinating theory/analysis of the Evil Queen’s curse. Your Professor would be proud. 😀

ParticipantEmma should have grabbed the keys when she had the chance. 😮
The keys actually reminded of the Skeleton keys used in Beetlejuice, which were used to unlock every door in the haunted house.

It looks like he was making a copy of it. The process he was doing it is like how one would make a copy of a photograph before the digital era.
I was thinking that too. That makes me think he wasn’t adding to the book, but maybe copying a certain section from it.

ParticipantWhen I saw the well, I thought is that the same well we saw in ‘The Price of Gold.’ It’s out in the middle of nowhere and so was the well, in The Price of Gold.
It was interesting to hear the magical qualities of water. and I thought, Emma drank the water. Is she all of the sudden going to have an instant link to the fairytale land? Like flashes or something? What happens to the Storybrooke residents if they drink from the same well? Will they remember?

ParticipantWhen real-world Frederick came to the car, her airbag had deployed but there was no sign of a struggle and she crashed just before the Storybrooke sign. I have a crazy theory that she got sucked into a portal and the portal deposited her into the isolation ward underneath the hospital.

ParticipantI was actually surprised Mary Margaret was still talking to David after his Valentine’s Day card blunder.
I did not like David at all this episode, Charming is much better than him. He at least told Abigail the truth that he didn’t want to marry her and she was honest with him, that she didn’t want the same thing either.
