Participantthat maybe the sword will kill the darkness inside of Emma to help the balance of light and dark be restored (or to help her perform a huge task).
which theoretically should not be there since Snowing cast out all her darkness when she was a fetus in the womb?
Dark One Curse?
Still may have some remnants in there.
Past darkness leave a mark. Regina’s heart is an example. Couldn’t quite tell but Snow’s/Snowing’s heart might be another.
I think my theory is sound. And the writers don’t follow their own rules much anymore so if Snow’s heart was meant to be healed and Regina’s not then it doesn’t surprise me.
Anyway, I have sort of (but not completely) changed my mind after watching the previous episode. It seems that Emma’s new nemesis is Gideon (and maybe Jafar later on) rather than the queen, so perhaps the sword can only be used by the hero to kill their villain or vice versa. In which case, Rumple had the sword the whole time and it could have been very useful in getting rid past villains, such as Pan *fume*
Or maybe the old savior needs to die for a new one to appear.

ParticipantAlso, as they established again that Regina and the EQ are one in the same, does it mean that the wish actually effected Regina as well/or instead? Could that be why Robin showed up?
Good point. I was wondering why Regina wasn’t turned into a snake. Then I remembered that it was because she was in another ”realm”’. She didn’t turn into a snake in WWW, and she probably won’t turn into a snake in SB because the wish would be done and dusted by the time Regina got back. Because I don’t think the wish affected Regina at all, I think them meeting was fate, rather than the wish.
Not only that but Charming (as far as I can recall) wished for the EQ specifically to get what she deserves. Regina is currently Regina, not the EQ.

Participant<p style=”text-align: left;”>Noo Regina…he ain’t real!!!!

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Unless of course, WWW is a real AU, and it was just Regina’s assumption that it is not real. In which case, she really did kill the Charmings in this AU.
Keeper of Regina's bravery

ParticipantGood questions. I think they will need to still play out the scene. The question is how Emma and Regina end up getting back from the dream world now that they wasted the magic bean. Maybe the stabbing scene happens in the dream world? I have no idea why Gideon wants to kill Emma unless he is the villain to Emma’s savior now that Regina is no longer a villain? Maybe the Dark Fairy wants to maintain the balance between good and evil?
Some good points. Emma is definitely lacking a villain, especially now that EQ is caged up as a snake. I think your idea of trying to maintain a balance of good and evil is great. I also think (going back to the idea I had a few days ago) that maybe the sword will kill the darkness inside of Emma to help the balance of light and dark be restored (or to help her perform a huge task).

ParticipantWhile this isn’t a split season in the same way we’re used to seeing splits, we do have a long stretch ahead of us, so–as is tradition–let’s review what we all just spent 10 week watching. Y’all know the drill: answer the questions 1) What was your favorite episode of S6A? Runner up? 2) What was your least favorite episode of S6A? Runner up? 3) We had a lot of new characters crop up this year. Who was your favorite and who was your least favorite? 4) What storyline fascinated you the most? And which one frustrated you the most? 5) What do you hope to see more of in S6B? 6) Final grade and thoughts on S6A?
1) the one with Regina and EQ sword fighting.
2) the first episode
3) favorite was Hyde. Or maybe Black Fairy. Least favorite was Aladdin.
4) EQ and what to do with her facinates me the most. Though she didn’t seem that evil, and they could have made her more evil by having her do all kinds of horrible things in the attempt to fill the hole in her heart other than Rumple (AKA Robin). What I find frustrating the most is the trumped up pre-curse attraction between Rumple and EQ. The rules of the lamp and the WWW are both a close second.
5) Hope to see plot holes/continuity errors sorted out. I wish for this each season, but sadly I don’t have a magic lamp so it never comes to pass.
6) 6/10. Sort it out writers. Please learn from fan’s complaints over continuity errors and stop creating problems with your world-building logic.

ParticipantBut, why didn’t he age? (Not that I’m complaining, just … huh?) SFG
good point! Maybe he and Granny know something the rest of them didn’t in this WWW.

ParticipantLOL the EQ suits being a snake.
And maybe reintegration will happen via snake bite. Ouch!

ParticipantI don’t like the idea of a place/places so dark that not even the DO can go there.
First, I thought the DO curse was darkness to end all darkness.
Secondly, he has now all the power of the previous DOs plus his own (i.e. he is now the Ultimate! Dark One), so why would he not be able to go there?
Rumple said that these dark places make no sense. I guess that place/those places will be our next world to visit, and because it/they make no sense, the writers can get away with writing all kinds of nonsense?

Participant^ Also, I think they have just invented, and demonstrated, the punniest definition of the term “wishy-washy”. This is not a complement. SFG
Great minds think alike. I have just written this on my reaction to the episode. I propose that we call it WWW or wishy-washy-world!

Participant6/10
Sigh.
The lamp:
-so it’s not 3 wishes per master then? And you can pass it from one owner to another this easily?
-If Rumple had this lamp in his possession the whole time, why didn’t he trap someone in it and use it to portal himself to our world to find Bae? (Does it only send people to magical worlds?).
-Why didn’t the EQ poof the lamp out of Charming’s hands before he had the chance to rub it?
Wish Reality:
How does it work?
-Granny should not have been alive, or certainly not as spry as she was.
-How did Neal get back to EF?
-Seeing as Neal DID get back to EF, what would have been Rumple’s motivation to cast the curse?
I find the explanation that it-is-wish! Reality- therefore-all-of-the-above-is-acceptable somewhat wishy-washy (pun intended). This type of reality still needs some sort of internal logic. I am interested in exploring this reality further though. Perhaps we will get answers to the above questions in the next couple of episodes. If these questions are not resolved (except for Granny), I think I will refer to this world as WWW or Wishy-Washy World.
Disappointed that Blue isn’t Black but happy that we will get to see the Black Fairy again. I was surprised that not even the DO can enter the dark places where the Black Fairy resides. Not sure if that makes any sense.
