ParticipantAlso of note, Sean confirmed that the in-show explanation for the Tom Ellis Robin Hood would be in this episode.
*twitch*
I am glad we are getting an explanation (but there are plenty of plotholes that deserve better attention than this one).
I wonder if the explanation will be that there are lots of ”Robin Hood”s out there, to protect the real one’s identity.

ParticipantThe Author has some tragic back story where some girl broke his heart and now, he likes to mess up everyone’s happy endings for kicks and just because he can.
Lol could be.
”Everyone’s” being the operative word.
Well he is definitely in it for the drama. I don’t think that it is just the ”villians” whom he is preventing from getting HE, I think he is doing it to the ”heroes” too.
I wonder if it is Henry, the Truest Believer who will get to write everyone a HE in the end (if he becomes the new author, as someone else suggested on a different thread).

ParticipantNo Rumple in these scenes with the dagger, I noticed.

ParticipantWait a minute, wait a minute…. Last episode Ursula said she was banished to our world. This episode we saw her fall down the portal to our world. It seemed like an accident. So really, was she banished? The current author is called Walt. Ugh. UGH!!!! Other than that, I liked everything else. 8/10. Points docked for the other two.
Oh…I forgot to say…
-Snow whispering about their secret with Emma and Hook (and Henry) literally a metre away. Did everyone else in the room suddenly go deaf? This was so dumb.
-Rumple knocking Regina out himself then later Mal saying to Rumple that he needed her, presumably to knock people out/make them sleep…and then Rumple showing in other actions that he does indeed need her.
Final score: 6/10

ParticipantOMG I LOVE this scene for so many reasons. Henry gets to be part of magic!!! The Author wants to communicate with him! The keyhole shaped light pointing to the key!!! I love it!
Finally, Henry has a plot of his own! Maybe…

ParticipantI still thing it is the other way round. Originally.. I said that the sorcerer trapped the author behind the door for his own benefit….that maybe he is forcing the author to write certain things, or sabotage his work (page 2 of this thread and elsewhere a week ago). Perhaps the sorcerer is evil and is punishing the author for not writing a happy ending, or is forcing him to do so, but the author is finding create ways to not give him it.
I’d like to add that the reason why I think the sorcerer has bad intentions or is evil because he possesses a hat that sucks people into it. Yes, that could be a good way to get rid of some truly bad people, but I can’t help but shake off the feeling that any magical person with that kind of hat is not going to be at least a tad shady.
I think that’s a very good point. And if the dagger is connected to the hat (the dagger makes the hat box open, ect) then I would say the Sorcerer is more tied to the dark side
That’s a great point, as well, about the dagger. Also the purpose of sucking people into the hat is to use their power…and that can’t be good.
Edit: I also wonder if the hat originally belonged to the author (to help him write his stories?), but then the sorcerer stole it from him along with the author’s books (including the blank ones), tweaked the hat to change its purpose to trapping people to use their magical power, and then trapped the author behind the door.
Or maybe those blank books (currently in our world) keep a record of what the author is writing behind the door…that way the sorcerer knows exactly what is going on in each world without having to travel there himself to find out…a bit like the typewriter also being another conduit and receiver of whatever the author writes behind the door.
Anyway, I am going 0ff-topic, so I will leave it there.
