No offense to anyone who ships anything, but I really want Mulan, Red and Whale to come back to have an awesome story, not to have a ship, or romance, or a quick match with another character at the end of the season(/show?) cause oh yeah we once planned on bringing those two together so let’s do that since everyone keeps asking us about it.
That’s just my opinion though. I guess I’m just very done with romantic story lines. Where’s the family? (Red&Granny) Where’s the adventure? (Mulan as part of Robin’s gang)

This was a very good episode in my opinion. Jen and Bobby, they’re back! Thank God. Their performances have been ‘going through the motions’, but in this ep, they found their edge again.
Liked the rose in jar, but Belle was all like ‘I’m not leaving him and that’s final’, and Blue was all ‘don’t worry, here’s a rose, now go’ and then Belle just went. I get that they wanted to squeeze in that nice little reference while they didn’t have much time for it, but it was WAY too rushed.
I kinda liked Zelena’s plan. Go away where no one will be bothered by you, but unfortunately that was a bust.
I like the inclusion of the dwarves and Granny. The meta was funny, but at the same time, if you know this, why not fix it sooner?! Oh well, better late than never… I think.
The dagger thing. Brilliant.
And then there was…… the amnesia…. *sigh*

This reminded me of how ingenious this show was in season 1 and could have been every season after. This twist is wonderful and it feels natural. As though it was actually planned from s1, or at least always part of the DO mythology. Of course it wasn’t, but that feeling of things always being thrown in at the last minute has been a problem for Once, for a long time.

The whereabouts of Mulan (played by Jamie Chung), as well as Meghan Ory’s Ruby/Red, will be accounted for when each character resurfaces after so much time off-screen. “We’re not planning to drop them back in the show with no explanation and just say, ‘Oh, they were over in the corner,’” says co-creator Adam Horowitz. “We do want to give a taste of where Mulan has been and what she’s been up to and what she’s been going through. The same with Red.
That’s all I needed to know, because that would have annoyed me.

I just hope she has an adventure with Belle and Merida. It’s just such a perfect fit.
Eddy actually let it slip that apparently Merida and Red will interact, way back at SDCC:
“You don’t bring Merida on and not let her shoot her weapon,” co-creator Edward Kitsis said, “Merida really fits in. You see her with Snow, you see her with Ruby, you see her with anyone.”

Yes and back then I didn’t really want to get my hopes up in case he was trolling again.
Merida also ends up in SB at some point right, so they could share scenes in both worlds. When I try to envision a situation in which Emma kills Ruby, well that just seems like something the audience wouldn’t easily forgive. It would paint Emma in a very dark light (yes that’s the point I know, but) I think it would wreck her character. Ruby is loved and well known and a friend of her mother. It would be very difficult to come back from that. Even if she turns good again and characters forgive her and move on, the audience probably won’t. Which would be bad, because Emma is supposed to be hope and saviour and light and stuff.

There’s a theory running around the fandom that Emma will kill Ruby because: “Emma is going to do something particularly bad,” co-creator Eddy Kitsis assures, “and to the people she loves.” Murdering a townsperson and her mother’s best friend would qualify. I don’t really believe it myself, but it’s something to keep in mind.
I would be severely stunned if they had the nerve to actually do this. Bringing back a beloved character, just to kill her. After Neal, who was also very loved. I’d like to think they have learned from their mistakes.
Until you mentioned this option, I didn’t think there would be anything left they could do to piss me off, but THAT would do it.
I just hope she has an adventure with Belle and Merida. It’s just such a perfect fit.

Okay I like that Belle has stuff to do and that she is with Merida on a quest, but that also means she will be cut off from the group, again. And she will make yet another friend who won’t last beyond a few episodes
I’d love it if Ruby came back though. She should go on the quest too, I mean girl changing into a wolf, mother changing into a bear. It’s practically the same thing! 😛

Sooo here’s what I think. I think that first Emma gets transported to Camelot since she’s already in FTL-ish clothes before anyone of the group is. She’s not fully absorbed the darkness or whatever, cause they said Emma wouldn’t immediately be the DO. Then the fam comes around. They find Arthur then they change into Camelot clothes (like Ariel, Tink and Cora dressed appropriately for SB) to meet Merlin(?). They fail to keep Emma from fully becoming the DO and return to SB where half of Camelot joins them, Henry rides a horse, Emma drives her car and is now the Dark One.

Henry doing the things he’s doing in the spoilers is sad and painful without Neal. He should have been the one to teach him about all of it.

Just…please Show, don’t turn it into a big romance arc for the kid.
If it makes you feel any better, they most likely won’t have time for such storylines anyway. They are way too busy with Dark Emma en Merida and Camelot and grown up ships, for Henry to actually have something extensive going on. It’ll be a lovely little ‘aww look Henry’s growing up’ moment I think.
