ParticipantIf Jafar is trying to rid the world of Saviors then ensuring the dark curse is never cast and Emma ins’t made the Savior fits into his plan.
I hadn’t even thought of it from that point of view, but it does work!

ParticipantDo we think that the EQ could rip out Regina’s heart and/or use it in her own body?
Oh that’s an interesting idea! Would she want to though? The EQ seems perfectly fine being devoid of any meaningful emotion other than villainy
Well again, it isn’t about the emotional aspect of it – it is about her continued existence. Would you rather have a heart in your body that could easily be corrupted if you wanted to fill it with darkness and get to live, or to just vanish from existence?
Also, we didn’t see the EQ’s reaction to what has happened to Jekyll and Hyde so it will be interesting to see if she changes her plans at all with the information that Regina’s death will end her existence. Presumably this will mean that a) she has a vested interest in protecting Regina (although I doubt she ever planned to kill her anyway) and b) that she will need to try and ensure her own safety *independent* of Regina (effectively making herself a full person who isn’t dependent on Regina being alive)?

What would she do with her own heart then? Put it in Regina? Why would she do that… Do you think she wants to feel love for others?
I didn’t think she currently had a heart (as Regina was shown crushing it) but maybe she does? It wouldn’t so much be about wanting to love, more about wanting to be the “real” one. Although thinking about it, maybe Regina putting her heart into the EQ would have some sort of balancing effect?

ParticipantI’m now starting to wonder if in the winter finale Regina will end up wishing that she had never cast the dark curse, which would allow for them to explore a reality in which Emma Swan never got to meet her parents etc it would be interesting to explore a world where a lot of what we have seen hadn’t actually happened and how things would have played out. I guess it sounds like more of a 2-hour finale type adventure in the vein of the past few seasons. I was just thinking that if the lamp and genie come into play, something like this could happen.

ParticipantI don’t think the writers introduced Newton’s Third Law just to show Snow White getting back into her groove again. I think it is a hint on how to reintegrate Regina and the EQ. Perhaps, for reintegration to occur, our heroes need to create the opposite of the original serum, perhaps with ”opposite” ingredients, the same ingredients combined backwards, or at the very least, ingredients that when combined have the opposite effect or reaction to the original. (Fingers-crossed they know the formula for the one that created the separation). Alternatively, (seeing as the formula was mostly created by science and is therefore probably subject to many of the laws of physics), the reintegration will occur naturally without intervention, that only time is needed for reintegration to occur. If I am right, no doubt Snow White would be the one to propose using Newton’s Third Law in some way to reintegrate the EQ back into Regina, or mention this law to someone else who then makes the link between this and the serum.
I really like this theory, and you are right, there is usually more than one reason why something like this is written in. For the same reason, on a smaller scale, I suspect that we will see that shell around Killian’s neck coming up again at some point!

ParticipantI assumed he was the boy with the straw hat in Snow’s class, but could be wrong?
Yes, that must have been him – good catch. They must be planning on showing his backstory later this season, right? That would be the first time we got the backstory of a child in present-day since Hansel and Gretel in Season 1.
I would say so, as he was the only kid in class who wasn’t wearing strict uniform from what I could see.

ParticipantDid anyone catch who was Tom Sawyer and when he was in the episode? I missed him.

ParticipantNice to see the golden scarab, and what looks like a golden monkey (Abu reference?) being used in place of the “diamond in the rough”. No sign of the lamp in these pictures… I wonder if Iago will talk? (doubtful!)
