ParticipantThough, I’m a boy, I really have a connection with Mulan. She is a character that really knows how to make tough decisions. She typically makes the right decision, or at least, does what she says she’s going to do. Emma tells her to chop down the beanstalk, and Mulan does it because she promised Emma she would. It wasn’t that she’d given up hope. she made an agreement.
I admire her fearlessness and skills.
Also, the way Mulan defends Aurora for Prince Philip’s sake… very touching.
Also, Mulan’s original story (When Will my Reflection Show…) really speaks to me. Impersonating a male soldier to protect her dad – such feels! I have a thing for war stories. I really hope we get her back story!
Something else, K&H have spoken about adding a gay/lesbian couple to the show. They said in an interview that they really want to do it. Given that Mulan’s story has a theme of gender identity (dressing up like a boy) i’m wondering if Mulan could be part of a lesbian relationship. Probably not, since they’ve given her a romantic tie with Prince Phillip, but who knows… At times i’ve wondered if it’s Philip or Aurora that Mulan has feelings for. Could she possibly have been helping Prince Philip because she too has feeling for Aurora? Probably not, but who knows.

ParticipantPan is like the Dark One – a position of magic with different people filling the role.
Pan has a pan flute and his own dagger. He almost never uses the dagger, preferring a sword instead. I doubt that they would give Pan and Rumple the same magical item, but maybe the pan flute decides who the Pan is. I would be really disappointed if the PAN FLUTE carries no weight in the show. I’m a PP nerd and have a collection of pan flutes. Beautiful instruments
Also, the Pan we know from the original stories had a fascination with fairy tales. The whole reason he comes to Wendy’s window is to hear her stories – specifically Cinderella. So Pan being from EF makes sense in some ways. Maybe Neal felt home sick, and wanted to hear Wendy tell the stories.
He left neverland, and now there’s a new Pan. Line from the movie, Hook. “I’ve got Pan’s sword, I’m the Pan now! You think this guys gonna take it from me, Rufio?” –Rufio

ParticipantIt ticks me off that Regina doesn’t hold her mother, Cora, responsible. Regardless of Snow White, Cora was the primary source of evil in Regina’s life.

ParticipantAwesome! Thanks RumplesGirl. I can’t wait! Little Mermaid mythology will be fun to see. Also, RumplesGirl, great hearing you on the podcast. I love following you on here, and hearing your thoughts alongs with Daniels was great! You have good instincts.

Awhile back Phee postulated that Mermaids can exist in many realms and that the ocean can be a portal to many lands. I have no doubt that mermaids exist in FTL but there is also NO doubt that traditionally they exist in Neverland. And I think given the title of the last two episodes and ALLLLLLL the hints to NL this season, I think it’s more likely we end up in NL. The comment Regina made to Rumple in Skin Deep doesn’t mean mermaids only exist in FTL.
I like this! When Rumple talked about places in the ocean so deep that only squids or mermaids could reach it, i was thinking the same things about the oceans possibly connecting the different worlds.
Two things: Can someone tell me what GOAT stands for? I know, I’m behind. lol 😉
Also, someone mention Freya. Who is she?

ParticipantDavid cut off a dragons head to kill it in The Shepard. Emma only stabbed the dragon in the season 1 finale. I’d like to think it’s harder than that to kill Maleficent. Can’t wait to learn more about her.

ParticipantDid you just jump ship, Slurpeez?!
😆 I started out as a Captain Swan fan but have evolved to love Swanfire as end-game. Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the flirty ride before we get there. 🙂 ;)
So Slurpeez, how do you feel about Hook and Regina? Swanfire was always endgame for me after Tallahassee, and i now find myself rooting for Hook and Regina!

ParticipantMajor LOST connection in “Lacey.” When Tamara rolls into town with the trailer, she tells Greg about “the PACKAGE.”
This is exactly what Widemore called Desmond when he forced Desmond to return to the island in season 6! Just saying!

ParticipantHow are Tamara and Greg going to use the Magic Bean if they get hold of one. Emma and MM needed the compass to navigate between the different worlds when they left EF. Do they still have the compass? is it accounted for?
If Tamara and Greg know how to use the bean and navigate between worlds, I’m thinking Tamara for sure has connections to another land, possibly being a fairy tale (or other) character we are familiar with. (It might be time to start thinking beyond fairy tale, and incorporate other classic characters. like Dr. Whale being Dr. Frankenstein.)
However, if Tamara and Greg use the bean, without knowing how, and get lost in a world they don’t intend, i’ll buy her story of being human – or being from our world.

ParticipantIn the episode Dreamy (season 1), did the BlueFairy tell Nova that they used the fairy dust to travel between the worlds?
I think that episode touched on a lot of rules about fairy dust and traveling between worlds. It leads me to believe that the fairies have their own way of traveling between the worlds.
Since Peter Pan is (in some mythology) part Fairy, this would explain how he is able to travel between worlds without magic beans or magic spinning hats or trippy mirrors.
