PanTheManParticipant
I’m thinking the Giant, Anton, probably arrived at the same time as Hook and Cora. Maybe they shrunk him and carried him in a purse. We still don’t know what happened between Hook and the Giant after Emma left them.
to me, the simplest answer is, the giant arrived at the same time as Hook and Cora on the ship.

But being the Lion is a good theory too! Who knows where the writers will take the character?
PanTheManParticipantI’m wondering if these two outsiders coming to storybrook might have been lost boys together since Neal is one of them. They both have drifter vibes to them. What if Ethan Embry is playing Baelfire? What if Neal knew Bael (in neverland) and they came to this world together?
just have to wait and see.
PanTheManParticipantI don’t question whether Blue is good or not. I feel as if that’s given. BUT I do feel that there is more to here than what we know.
While we’ve been led to believe that Rumple manipulated Regina into activating the curse, i think Blue MANIPULATED Rumple into doing that much.
Rumple found out about the curse from the Blue Fairy, and I refuse to believe that the Blue Fairy is so dumb that she just let something so devastating as the cuse slip to the Dark One. It had to be on purpose.
so the question is… WHY DID THE BLUE FAIRY WANT TO COME TO THIS WORLD?
I’m sure we’ll be anxiously awaiting Blue’s episode that will reveal her back story.
I tend to believe that she’s been helping August all this time, and that she kept her memories when the curse hit. It makes sense considering that Blue is regarded as the original source of magic (or something like that..). Blue is like the Jacob of OUAT (Lost reference), pulling all the strings behind the curtain.
PanTheManParticipantI think Neal is Bae, but the lingering questions is… is Bae also another character we know?
I think they key to this is considering which characters, that we know from the original stories, travel between worlds.
1. Peter Pan – TheGoldenKey has a brillant theory about this, and i would like to see him/her proved right. I could see Bae becoming mischevious and hating grown ups after his father broke the deal.
2. The Wizard of Oz – the wizard traveled between worlds by balloon. Neal was wearing green a lot, which could support the idea of Peter Pan or the Wizard, i think. I think the Oz hints have to add up sometime. It would definitely be ironic if Bae became the Wizard. The wizard had no magic, but was respected for his power. Bae didn’t want any ties to magic.
The only other characters i can think of that traveled between worlds were females. Dorothy (ruby slippers). Alice. They each had their own methods of traveling between worlds.
It’s clear that if Neal is Bae, he had to go somewhere (neverland, Oz) before he came to the real world.
PanTheManParticipantMy biggest problem with Neal being Bae/PP is the timing, but your (TheGoldenKey) first post in this thread had me convinced. If Bae went to Neverland first, that would explain the lack of aging. He started aging again when he decided to come to the real world.
I’m still not 100% sold on Neal being Bae/PP, but I would love for the theory to be right.
Neal did wear green throughout the episode. That could be PP.
PanTheManParticipantI like your theory. This tangled family tree would be Rumple/Gold’s ultimate insurance if Neal is Bae. The way you lay it out makes a really convincing case. I’m really having to keep an open mind about who Neal is. Bae is the obvious choice the writers would want us to think.
the only thing I can infer from Neal for sure is that he had definitely encountered magic before. That opens a door for him being from any of the magical lands/worlds, but these writers have tricked me one too many times for me to side on a definite answer so far.
Bae is a good guess.
I Don’t see him being Peter Pan like some people are suggesting, but it’s just as likely as Bae at this point.
An idea i’m playing with is that Neal is the WIZARD from the Wizard of Oz. The Wizard is originally from the real world and travels to Oz by ballon, eventually returning to his home world. Maybe the Wizard would be older, but they made Hook a young hunk, so why not the Wizard.PanTheManParticipantI’m thinking there is a chance her touch could revive the Giant’s dead magic bean. She didn’t touch it, but she easily could have. I want to think her touch would have the same effect it had on Jefferson’s hat.
PanTheManParticipantThat’s very true. Dead is dead. But I’m inclined to think that objects work differently than people. People have souls and magical objects do not.
Jefferson’s Hat didn’t work any more until Emma touched it. No one said the hat was Dead, but Jefferson seemed certain that its magic had been spent. But when Emma touched it, the magic returned and opened the portal.
A normal bean would have rotted away. This one is stiff around. Why show the bean if its no longer useful in someway. In writing this is called “Chekhov’s Gun”. If you show a gun early on in the story, it will more than likely be used later. Otherwise, why show it?
I can’t remember if Emma has had contact with other magical objects, but it is something to consider.
I totally acknowledge that the bean could be dead and useless and that Dead is dead. lol.
PanTheManParticipantHowever this mystery ties into the stories we know, i’m sure the writers will be putting their own twist on it.
A room with no windows AND CURTAINS makes me think of the Wizard of Oz. this is another big Lost reference: THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAINS. The fire even fits in this scenario too (which might explain the red color). Dorothy and the gang were terrified by the Wizard’s display of pyrotechnics and smoke. The red color doesn’t fit as well into my theory. Wizard of Oz stuff would most likely be green (emerald city). Red makes me think more of the Queen of hearts.
AND, let’s not forget that the Wizard from the Wizard of Oz originally comes from our world. He came to Oz in a hot air balloon.
The Oz hints have been adding up since season one. I think the Ruby Slippers could be in August’s box. I think Neal is definitely from another magical world, possibly Oz. Neal believed August too easily for him to be from our world. His reaction wasn’t dramatic enough. Maybe he’s Bae, but that’s too easy. The writers want us to think he’s Bae just like they wanted us to think August was Bae.
my theories biggest problem is the timing. Neal would probably have to be older to be the wizard. but who knows? Captain hook is a young hunk, why not the Wizard?
