Does Emma supress her better judgement about Hook the way Belle was shown in 4×6 to suppress her suspiions about Rumple lying to her? That’s why I want Emma to take a good hard look in that magic mirror to see what difficult truth she’s submerging in her subconscious.
As I was reading the last few posts, I was thinking exactly that, then you beat me to saying it. #onebrain
It did seem to me that the mirror drew out less than favourable things that Belle had been pushing to the back of her mind and made her confront them. There was a little list of doubts and fears that MirrorBelle rattled off. Emma’s got her own little building list, with things like the blondes comment, and also Will’s comment about getting in good with the kid. In cases like those, Emma momentarily reacts, then seems to just brush them off. They’re all ending up dwelling in her subconscious, same as the things Belle didn’t wanna think about in regards to Rumple. So if the mirror brought those things to the forefront for Belle, it should by rights do the same for Emma.

There are two versions of Jungle Book in production at the moment, one from Disney, one from Warner Bros. Considering Disney already have one reinvention of that story going on, perhaps they didn’t want to let OUAT do their version at the same time.
Just saw someone on tumblr point out the potential for Cruella vs Red the Wolf, and now it’s a thing I want to see and I’m bummed because they probably won’t do it.
That list is hilarious. Seriously, all I can do is laugh. 😛
Now if Once gets a 5th Season, I can already tell you the gimmick for next Fall. Guess what Disney film is getting its Diamond Edition in Fall 2015? Aladdin! No, I am not kidding. Expect to finally see Once’s take on Aladdin and Jasmine, with Jafar returning from Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as the Big Bad.
Didn’t they say that they had another option for who could have come through the portal in the urn, and it’d be someone we’d still see? I figured it was possibly the Genie from Aladdin, and that’s how they’d draw Jafar onto the main show. If so, bet they postponed it until S5 and went Frozen instead so the timing all lined up better with the Disney marketing team.
Soon as I saw her pic on the first page I thought it screamed Cruella, so no shock really that’s who she is.
I dunno how they could get a lasting story arc out of the character, like I said in another thread yesterday I could see her as a one off but that’s about it.
Unless they alter her character from human to something mystical, I guess that could give them more options for what they could have her do?
Regarding Sleeping Beauty, if they plan to have the three fairies with their Disney names, (let’s be real, they’ll use the Disney), they were Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. A character named Fauna could have a nemesis like Cruella who gets off on killing animals.
But I wouldn’t really expect the fairies to have much more of a role than Glinda and Co did? So even giving each fairy a nemesis, I dunno if they’d get proper story arcs out of it.
So stoked that Neal made it into the final noms for the PCAs! I mean, I’ll be stunned if Yang doesn’t win it because that character has been much loved by many for like, a decade, but that won’t stop me from voting for Neal, and our boy’s name will be read out on awards night for everyone to see and hear and THAT’S AWESOME because the love for him is being kept alive. 🙂
CRUELLA????? IS CRUELLA COMING???? OH MY GOD >_< I suppose I shouldn’t jump to conclusions…. But you can’t have a dalmation in this show without that being the first line of thought…
She doesn’t really have potential for a multi-ep story arc villain IMO. A one off like Bo Peep was, sure, but I dunno how they could stretch her story out beyond that.
It looked like an amethyst to me, the magic he sucked out of her mind was purple, and it made a purple stone, (I have an amethyst that looks just like it, only smaller).

Belle’s moment of selfishness parallels Rumple’s choosing power over love multiple times, for the most immediate and relevant bit. But it’s also understandable–she had to sail two weeks to get what she thought was the only way to put her mind to rest, and she almost had it when she realized she needed to save Anna, too. It was a very human failing.
Also, it’s not just any old object she was reaching for, it was what she believed was her one and only chance to ever know the truth about how her mother died, something she was present for but couldn’t recall. Like, that’s kind of a BIG freaking deal in the grand scheme of things. So while yes it was selfish of her to put that above Anna’s life, I can’t really get too mad at her for having given in to that particular temptation.
