ParticipantThe writers may even successfully tick off fans of CS by the end of the season if things go the way I think.
I’m conflicted on this. 404 would be easier to watch if I had faith that the writers were highlighting Hook’s negative aspects because they’re done whitewashing him. If I had faith that the reason they’ve got him in this secret pact situation is because his secrets are gonna come out. If I had faith that they’re making the Charmings act dumb again so they can be shocked by the truth. If I had faith that they’re rushing CS because they have to get set things up in order for them to fall down again. If I had faith that the rumoured return of Blackbeard in some capacity is because Emma’s gonna find out what really happened with Ariel and that Hook killed at least one person for selfish reasons within the last year. Like, all those things considered, common sense says Hook’s not gonna be a “hero” that they all love for much longer.
But my faith in the writers is so shot, that I just can’t bring myself to believe that the common sense will prevail.

ParticipantYensid Walt…. That sounds really magical to me
If we’re spelling things backwards, he should be Yensid Tlaw.

ParticipantHope Adam reads that article of Barbara’s like he did one of her previous ones. Will have to keep an eye out for her podcast this week.

ParticipantI called it. I thought the “cursed hand” nonsense would be all in Hook’s head. Ah, clever Rumple knows the power of suggestion. Sounds to me like the best thing to come out of that recent episode.
It’s bizarre because them giving Rumple that dialogue means they’re aware of who Hook really is. Yet when Emma got home from the date, Snow was all, “She seems happy,” and Charming was all, “Guess he really has changed.” Which one is it, writers?
As far as the ep as a whole goes, all the date nonsense pales in comparison to how they had Henry use his dead father to manipulate his grandfather. Neal would be appalled, as am I.

ParticipantI dunno, I doubt he’d be so wise-cracky in general if his true love were dead, after all they’ve been through. And there’s no story in it if he’s just back because she died. More likely IMO that something happened to her and he was hoping to find a clue in the book that might help him save her.

ParticipantNeal would be rolling in his grave. 🙁

How is everyone today?
It’s the day of an episode I’m kinda sorta dreading AND it’s my ex-wedding anniversary, so I’m freaking SUPER today. #BLAH #GetItOverWith

ParticipantAnd when he killed Milah, it was after he’d abandoned Bae himself. He was angry at her for leaving him, but that he could have let go–he was willing to make the trade of their lives for the bean. But Milah not only cut him harshly by saying she’d never loved him (for a man abandoned by his own father for the same reason, that hurts just a little extra–not that it’s unpainful for anyone), she gave THAT as her reason for abandoning Bae. She shifted the blame onto him. Rumple was in a place where he was already loathing himself for having let Bae go through the portal alone, and now she was making it his fault that she’d abandoned him. He killed Milah because he was directing all the self-loathing and anger at his own failure toward her in that instant (and yes, he was corrupted by the power of the Dark One on top of that–which does not excuse it, but it’s clearly part of the reason). She had committed the worst crime he could think of, abandoning her child, the same crime he hated himself so much for having committed.
Yup, all of that! And it’s not the only time he reacted like that either, similar deal when he was beating on Mo and insisting, “You shut her out. You had her love, and you shut her out! She’s gone. She’s gone forever – she’s not coming back. And it’s your fault! Not mine! You are her father! Yours! It’s yours!” Once again, his self loathing caused him to act violently towards someone else in the situation.

ParticipantI’m all about finding out more about Laurel, but I hope it doesn’t involve her getting with Frank because he’s a creepy creeper.

ParticipantKinda random for Blackbeard to be back. Does that mean the current ep could be Hook centric?
