Agreed. Whatever promo monkey Photoshopped those things has no clue what the swan pendant really stands for, it was just the easy choice as a “thing” to represent Emma Swan. It’s only our part of the fandom who gives that pendant the proper credit it deserves. To everyone else it’s just, “that thing Emma’s worn since the show started”.

I feel you. There’s another thread on the forum that I’ve been following and sometimes thinking of what I’d respond to certain things with, but ALL of it would be bitter and cynical and mocking and so I just don’t bother. Makes me sad because there was a time I could get right into discussions about this show and now I’m just BLAH about it all. *sigh*

On a similar note, I’ve been doing some window shopping for clothes on ebay recently and came across a tee with a (heart shaped) dream catcher on it and sat staring mournfully at it for some time before sticking it on my watch list. Haven’t decided yet if I’m enough of a masochist to buy it or not.
They tested the waters with her and Aurora and it was met with positivity as far as I am aware. They can’t just go back and act like that never happened. They have to finish what they started.
Ah if only it were that simple, but alas they don’t have to do anything more with it if they can’t be bothered, (also there are still people who think Mulan was talking about loving Philip not Aurora, so there wasn’t blanket acceptance of Mulan’s sexual orientation from the fandom) and these writers do tend to skim over things and sweep things under the rug and just generally not give things – be they plot points or emotional reactions – their proper due.
It’d make perfect sense for them to bring back Mulan and give her a girlfriend, (Jamie Chung’s imdb page doesn’t list anything in pre-production that would be tying her up). RG suggested Red and Merida, but Merida could easily be paired up with Mulan. They’re both adventurous, headstrong, warrior types so it’d be quite easy for them to meet in the middle of a quest or battle somewhere and be attracted to each other.
But just like with Red, I’m not holding my breath in anticipation of Mulan showing up again any time soon. Maybe they could work her into 4B if Maleficent will be back and potentially posing a threat to Aurora in present day. You’d expect Mulan to show up to protect her, requited love or not.
Do you have that as word from the writers in interviews or as outspoken statement on the show?
They had a Frankenwolf fanart stuck on the wall in the writers’ room. If memory serves it was Adam tweeting about that that kicked off the Fanart Friday thing where they choose a new fanart to add to their wall. It’d be odd for them to have a Frankenwolf art on their wall if they hadn’t been thinking of exploring that storyline.
so not only Disney owns half of History Channel(through ABC), where SoL will air, but the movie that he will do is from Disney.
He likely signed a contract with ABC/Disney for a certain number of years when he signed on to do OUAT. When actors do that it’s like insurance for future employment even if the specific role they signed on for ends prematurely, because the network still has them on the books and is contractually obligated to give them more work.

In other news, I need to pull my finger out and make a new siggy, I’ve had it in mind for ages, but I haven’t the will to sift through 100s of OUAT screencaps to find the ones I need, which will all be of Neal (and Bae) so the whole process will just bum me out. *sigh*
