“It’s nice to meet you Henry. Sorry it took so long.”
“I’m sorry Emma. For everything.”
“I know, I’m sorry…”
“I’m sorry, I know I screwed up!”
There is nothing sexier or more wonderful in this world than a man with enough humility and balls to look you in the eye and say, “I know I hurt you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”
Neal Cassidy, ladies and gentlemen. He’s human. He ****s up. He makes mistakes. He apologizes. No buts, maybes, or I-had-a-crappy-childhoods about it.

THIS IS FABULOUS!
Ok, i was looking for some songs to inspire @Text to write her ff, and i found this song, and remind me of early SF days.
Yep I’ve always thought that was a SF song. Never heard that lovely cover version of it though, so thanks for posting it. There should be a SF vid made to that version of the song.

ParticipantIf they do go with making Elsa a lesbian it would feel less like an eye rolling “oh they’re just cashing in on Frozen” situation to me. If they saw this particular character as the perfect opportunity for them to finally explore a queer relationship, which they’ve been putting off and probably wanted to do next season anyway because they should do it sooner rather than later by this point, (no guarantees of a S5, so it may be S4 or never and imagine the fandom outcry if they never got around to it). So then up pops Elsa, who is widely believed to be a lesbian, so it’s like they were handed the perfect opportunity on a silver platter and jumped on it.
If she just ends up being another straight chick, then it really does smack of simply cashing in on the current hot thing, which is what has so many rolling our eyes and thinking “RLY?” at her introduction.

ParticipantEmma and Neal’s first date in the EF?
“Neal! Could you slow down, maybe?”
Emma glared at the back of his head, trying to hike up the layered skirts of her dress and avoid a branch to the face at the same time. Neal stopped, shooting her a ****-eating grin.
“Sorry, your highness,” he said brightly. She rolled her eyes, holding up her middle finger in a distinctly unprincess-like gesture. He laughed, waiting for her to catch up, holding a couple of mutinous shrubs back from attack.
“Thanks,” she mumbled. “You know, if I had known we were going to take a wilderness hike, I would have raided my mother’s bandit wardrobe, at least.”
As soon as everyone had begun to settle down back in the Enchanted Forest, Snow and David had organized journeys to the villages throughout the kingdom; it should have been weird, all that princess-y checking up on the subjects sort of thing, but it wasn’t— it was sort of like patrolling as sheriff, back in Storybrooke.
Neal coming with probably should have been weird, too. It should have been weird, watching him talk fairytale economics and class systems with Snow, help patch up huts along side David, initiate play sword fights with Henry.
It wasn’t weird. It was weird that it wasn’t weird.
He’d woken up her up early this morning, manic with energy like he used to get back in Portland, when he couldn’t sleep. C’mon, he’d said. Wanna show you something.
And she’d followed, because she hadn’t heard those words in 13 years. Though, in hindsight, she probably should have asked questions first, she thought, scrambling after Neal onto a bank.
He stopped, suddenly, an unreadable expression on his face as he stared out at the ramshackle remains of an abandoned village. Emma followed his gaze, frowning. There was nothing remarkable about it.
“Neal?” she asked. “Where are we?”
“This is where I grew up,” he said, quietly. “Before things got crazy. Pop said it’d probably be abandoned by now— been through more than a couple of wars and all that. I just— I don’t know, I realized we were close. Wanted to see it.”
Emma took a sharp breath— trying not to think too hard about the centuries separating Neal’s childhood from this moment, because their lives were weird enough, thanks.
“Hey,” she said, nudging him a little. “Show me?”
He nodded, smiling almost shyly before leading her into the village. He stopped in front of what looked like it may have been a small hut, once.
“This is it,” he mumbled, nodding. “Back there, we used to keep sheep, and Papa used to spin the wool inside. We only had the one room, but it was just him and me, anyway. Wasn’t much, but—”
“It was home,” Emma finished for him, quietly.
“Yeah. It was,” he said, kicking at the ground absently. “Once. Guess I really can’t go back.
“You don’t have to,” Emma said, sharply. Neal turned back to look at her, a confused look on his face. “Your dad and Belle are back at his castle. Henry’s here,” she took a sharp breath. “I’m…here.”
Neal smiled, slowly nodding. “Guess I don’t have to miss anything, huh?”
“Yeah,” Emma said, quietly, smiling a little back. “Guess you don’t.”

ParticipantOfficer Puck to the rescue!
I believe I understand the characters and the story just fine. So does the other side. Arguing about it will achieve nothing other than destroying what is supposed to be our safe haven, so I’m done responding to this particular topic.

ParticipantVery obvious sexual tension here:
Very obvious caring (love, really) here:
No, not “obvious” like it’s a fact. Chemistry, sexual tension, and the interpretation that CSers read into Emma’s actions is all SUBJECTIVE. I could go through each of those gifs and give you a perfectly legit interpretation from my POV that just happens to be contrary to yours. And that’s fine, everyone is entitled to their subjective lens. a CSer would say that she saved Hook because she secretly loves him. A non-CSer will say that she saved Hook simply because she’s a decent person who doesn’t want other people to die, no matter who they are. If you want “obvious” how about “It was a one time thing,” “Next time curse the lips of someone I wanna kiss,” or the multiple times she flat out said that she loves Neal. Emma’s words matter.
As for the rape culture argument, there are many people who have been in a position in their lives where a guy won’t take no for an answer. It runs the spectrum of minor annoyance, to recent events in the news. And frankly, if someone watches the show and sees how Hook and Emma interact, and it triggers something for them because of an upsetting situation they’ve been in in real life that affected them on a deep, sometimes troubling, emotional level, it’s no one’s place to tell them they are wrong for feeling that way.

ParticipantI have nothing to base this on, but I have a feeling she’s going to be connected to Belle in some way. Sister/mother/cousin/etc, I don’t know.
I just have this niggling feeling it will be Belle she’ll have some kind of connection with.
Your feeling is based on the fact that it would be yet another complication for Rumbelle to deal with, and the writers do enjoy Rumbelle complications.

ParticipantThe amount of hate here has honestly become terrifying, even if it is passive aggressive.
Being critical of something does not automatically equate to being a hater. That word gets thrown around FAR too liberally in fandoms.
I understand you’re upset over Neal’s death, but you’re discrediting the very well thought out theories and metas of the CS fandom in your blind rage. I have paid attention to both of these threads over the last years, and both sides have had some great points. But it’s blind ignorance to pretend that A&E haven’t had CS to be their intention since 2×05. I’m sorry if it sounds harsh, but it’s true.
Any CS meta will be just as biased as any SF meta. SFers are never gonna buy into what CSers see, and vice versa, don’t make out like it’s only our side who has torn apart the views of the opposing side. And if you really have been reading what we’ve been saying, then you’ll know that it’s not simply that we’re pissed that Neal died, it’s the detrimental ramifications we feel that 3B has had on the show as a whole. And no, we’re not ignorant of how CS was obviously a thing from 2×05. We can believe that they “always” intended for Hook to fall for Emma. We’re aware of the poetic story of Emma and Neal that they’ve been telling since the show began. We’re aware of how many times Emma showed disinterest in Hook. We are not ignorant, we saw everything that happened, same as you did, but we interpret it differently. And we’ve all read all the media spin before, but what we put real stock in is what we actually see happening in the show itself, and what we saw is something we believed in and loved until very recently when things took a sudden turn, in our opinion, for the worse.
