I was seriously angry at how Emma just KISSES HOOK. I MEAN, JUST A DAY AGO YOU WERE ANGRY AT HIM FOR ALMOST GETTING YOUR SON KILLED. NOW, YOU’RE ALL, “I love you! Kiss me, you pirate who I only know what you’ve told me about yourself!” WHATTTTTTTT.
Not only was she angry at him for the Henry stuff, but she also flat out said that she didn’t wanna kiss him a day ago. I said before the ep aired that it would be ridiculous and unbelievable if they had her do a 180 in the space of two eps, and I stand by that.
[adrotate group="5"]Btw, does anyone else feel that Hook gave Emma a bit too much credit in one of his speeches. He said that she defeated Pan and Zelena, but that’s not entirely true. In fact, in both cases Emma had very little to do with it. Rumple killed Pan and Regina disarmed Zelena and then Rumple killed her aswell. And while I’m at it, Regina broke the second curse with Henry. What exactly is Emma’s purpose these days?
Get outta here with your attention to logic and context. Those things mess up the story dontcha know.
Frozen is so new, I’m honestly surprised they’re doing it. That character is clearly ELSA, not a different take on the Snow Queen. If they do Elsa, they have to have it in keeping with the movie, because it’s so recent that SHE is who people still have fresh in their minds and want to see more of. If they DON’T do Elsa, people will complain because she looks just like Elsa, so why isn’t she Elsa. With all the other characters they could introduce, the fact that THIS is who they’re going with, just smacks of trying to capitalise on the popularity of the movie in a bid at a ratings grab.

About Henry, I see his next year, be about going back to regina, having hate towards his stepfather, bc i bet we will see hook moving with emma to a new apartment, and all this triangle again of emma/henry/regina all over again.
I always said I’d wanna weep for Hook if they landlocked him. And they’ve gone and done it. *sigh* I hope Henry is a right little brat next season. I don’t want to see him blindly accept Emma’s relationship with Hook, because for the love of God can we have someone on the show point out that there’s crap wrong with that relationship. And his other mother will probably be going dark again by the look of it, so she won’t be a good alternate influence. I wanna see Henry rebelling and coming into his own magic. Maybe have him find out somehow that Rumple could have perhaps saved his father, and have him get pissed about that too. Magical Henry vs Dark One Grandpa. Maybe then Rumple would finally be undone.

Something tells me that’s not what they were going for. And yet that’s what they got.
The connection between Neal and Emma is an integral thing woven into the moral of the whole show. I can’t believe they just tossed it aside like this.
How do I ever watch that again? How does one sit there, during Price of Gold, and watch Emma be hurt that “some people only have the back of a car,” when I know how this story turns out? Or watch her do her damndest not to split up two young people who steal from convenience stores to survive in “True North,” knowing that when push came to shove, splitting them up was just not that big of a deal to her, and death was an okay solution.
OMG THIS! Nevermind how impossible it will be to re-watch any ep the involves Bae in any way, knowing how his poor sad life ended up, but all that subtle stuff they did with Emma way back in the start of the show, you’re right, it will be impossible to re-watch without feeling that it’s now hollow.
It’s the only thing that makes sense *to me,* and if the CS was a network requirement, I can see them feeling the only way to tell that story in truth was to have Neal dead. Because we know now, pretty concretely, they could only happen if he is dead – he had to be dead for the kiss to happen in Neverland and dead for them to happen now. Because he is the only guy Emma ever loved – one of few people she’s ever said “I love you” to – and their bond is stronger than just about anything. So if they had to go CS, Neal had to be dead, because with him alive, Emma would have gravitated back there… again and again and again.
Yup, given that they’d established their bond as being so strong and enduring, there’s just no way they could have put their hot new couple together while Neal was still on the canvas.
It’s not good storytelling. For a show that I fell for, deeply, because of how much richer the story was the second time through, that is bitterly disappointing to me. The storytelling on this show used to be BRILLIANT. It’s what made Manhattan amazing, they spent a season and a half getting us there and everything we’d learned about the characters was played out there in that episode.
It’s really quite depressing to see the downturn in quality, considering what it used to be. They DID do a LOT of things right earlier on in the show, which just makes the state of things now even more sad.

He gave up his ship, WOW what a sacrifice. Let’s talk about what Neal gave up. Pretty much everything and what did he get in return? Death.
Neal only gave his life. Put himself in mortal danger to protect people multiple times in his life. But, yeah, Hook gave up his ship, which he only knew to do because Neal told him, and that totes trumps being willing to give up one’s own life. Apparently.
PS. I am very on the fence if I want to keep watching. And I have to tell you that is very uncommon for me. I never abandon a show because I always wish to know how it all ends. I stick with it. I am glad there is now a hiatus because that may give me some time to come around.
I know I’ll keep watching, because I have to see the whole show out no matter what. But right now I’m SO happy for a long break, because I just feel so DONE with it all. The last time I got this emotionally attached to a show, it got axed after 16 eps. Maybe one day I’ll learn. At least I made a few friends in that fandom who I’m still friends with years later, so it wasn’t a total wasted investment.
But wow, this is all that goes on in my head right now: they gave Neal’s story to Hook. Neal was supposed to take that journey with her to her parents past. Why? Because Neal has always been the one to show Emma what love is about. They were gonna get back together after their trip and Henry would have his father back in his life…. I just… yeah…
