ParticipantThat post is great. “Fighting for” is a broad term; I think many can take it as “fighting to be with,” but the alternate interpretation is “putting up a fight on your behalf.” He’s promising to be on her side, and it’s a promise he keeps.
I LOVE that he puts things out there and then backs off. He knows Emma so well – even ten years later – and knows the harder he pushes, the higher go her walls. But even that’s not a totally accurate characterization, since it implies he stops pushing to stop from getting shut out – no, rather, he stops so as to not make her uncomfortable. Because unlike certain other people, getting in someone’s space and making overt sexual advances is not his style. I love (love love love) that his MO boils down to, “I’m here, and you can trust me.” He knows it will take patience, and it doesn’t seem to bother him a bit. He owns the crap he’s done in the past. And for Emma, who is so hard to break through to, he is exactly what she needs. A safe place to think & feel exactly what she does, no expectations.
There’s a reason we only see her truly smile with him. He’s one of the few places in her life she’s ever truly felt safe, and as she works her way through the emotional betrayal that occurred, she returns to that safety more and more. He does that girl all kinds of good.
Come back, NealFire! Emma needs you… WE need you.
(Pretty please?)
ALL OF THAT! And as much as we dislike and distrust the writers now, THEY WROTE THAT. They took the time to build it up, to show how Neal is exactly the kind of man that Emma could and should be with, because he truly loves and RESPECTS her. So, again, that’s one of the things that keeps me thinking he’s gotta be coming back, because they crafted him SO PERFECTLY to be Emma’s perfect fit, and if they just threw all that work away, while still going ahead showing Hook keeping secrets and telling lies…that just makes no sense to me unless they’re trying to actively show Hook being the WRONG man for Emma, and then eventually bringing back the man who is the stark contrast and is RIGHT for her.

ParticipantYES!! “Any kind of understanding of this character will quickly lead one to realize that this isn’t some kind of flippy floppy position. This isn’t him telling her he’s going to go after her no matter what she feels. This is him saying “I love you. That’s not something that’s ever going to change. But if you don’t want to be with me, I won’t push you. But I will always be here when you need me because I love you.”” That’s true love right there, that’s a good man right there, where can I find myself one of them, pretty please!
Also, the pic they have in the sidebar of their page is utterly adorbs!

ParticipantInteresting. Though I remain perplexed about how they’d bring Will into it in present day without contradicting how WL ended.

ParticipantI kinda liked the idea that Zelena was after Eva the way WW goes after Dorothy, but yeah, this girl’s eyes are completely the wrong colour to be playing a young Eva, so there goes that theory. Guess dead Eva just randomly liked sparkly red shoes.
Hope there’s some substance to Dorothy’s story, considering they’re only gonna cover it in flashbacks in one ep (as far as we know). Maybe her quest to help Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion get back their brains, heart and courage is what tweaked Zelena to the existence of the time travel spell?

ParticipantMy money is on Hook being tricked and keeping quiet because he’s ashamed that he got taken in by Greenie.
Yup.
As far as the JR being able to be used as a sacrifice, I do actually think he loved it on its own merit. The association he gave it with Emma may well have amplified it, and allowed for them to show how he does essentially think of the ship as a person, but there was already a relationship of a couple hundred years there between Hook and the JR. It was his home, his constant companion even through the losses of Liam and Milah, so I think he loved it plenty, even pre-Emma.
They showed that he valued the ship above the lives of actual people, so I think it would be quite a powerful statement for how much he wanted to get back to Emma if he turns around and actually sacrifices the JR in the end, so he can cast the Curse.
Hook has his memories, which is a trait of the Curse caster. He thought it would allow him to be with Emma, but now he’s finding out it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, just like Regina quickly realised when she cast the Curse.
I think Phillip dying again would feel to repetitive.
Repetitive, bold, po-tay-toe, po-tah-to, these writers are not adverse to repetitively killing someone.
But Philora aren’t major enough players for there to be any real impact. Magic has a price, and we have to see the Curse caster suffer the consequences of that action. We haven’t seen even a hint of what either of Philora are up to in present day, and if one of them cast the Curse, their aftermath is a thing we’d have been shown by now.
Hook currently seems to be suffering through the aftermath of having cast a Curse.

ParticipantSo is Glinda not in Oz these days if all it takes to get to her is walking through a door? Or did they go to Oz first and that’s where the door is?

ParticipantAnyone else think of Gaston when they saw the rose? Was a curious prop, (that really pops due to the colours in the scene so you HAVE to notice it), the type of flower that Rumple turned a guy into to kill him, used in a scene where Rumple’s kidnapped someone, who is told that the next one of those props will be on a grave. Wonder if we’ll see Gaston as well, along with Marian, if we get a different timeline/AU. If Rumple’s status is changed in an altered timeline, then Belle likely ended up married to Gaston.

ParticipantIn the “Oz The Great And Powerful” movie the wicked witch of the east wears a necklace that hides her ugliness and her yellow skin. Maybe that’s what the white necklaces do and Galinda is green too?
Not even necessarily green, just something other than she appears. Perhaps it sustains her forever in that particular form?
Some of us discussed when Sunny Mabrey was cast that perhaps she looks so much like JMo because she’s part of the family, someone like Eva’s mother, perhaps. That could work if the necklace kept her young through to present day, when she speaks to Snowing. It could also work if Eva = Dorothy, because her mother having disappeared to Oz could explain why she goes there, to find her. It could fit nicely with Emma being a witch just like her great grandma (who she looks exactly like) is. I saw a post on tumblr comparing Glinda’s ring to the ring Emma’s wearing in the BTS pics, and they reckon they’re definitely not the same, but I think they look somewhat similar, even though not identical, so maybe it’s a family heirloom worn by the witches type situation, along similar lines to the matching necklaces for the sisterhood of the Oz witches.
Or perhaps it’s just a coincidence that Sunny and JMo look so similar, and Glinda’s not a part of the family at all, (but they look so separated at birth that I just can’t help but wonder), and maybe Dorothy won’t be Eva, and will be some random kid from our world, (but Eva WAS buried in sparkly red shoes, so again, I just can’t help but wonder). In this case though, I actually wouldn’t roll my eyes if yet another person gets added to the family tree.
And getting back to the original point of this post, if the necklaces sustain them as beautiful/youthful when they’re white, perhaps Zelena’s stopped working when it got corrupted somehow and changed colour, causing her to revert to being green.

ParticipantGreat poem, Corbin!
And count me in with all of you wondering why Eva was instantly labeled as being a baddie, when what she did was to tell the truth so that Leo didn’t marry the chick who was already pregnant (and would later try to pass off the kid as being his) and stealing from him.

ParticipantPost from tumblr…
we met prince Johnathan (aka the gardener )

and in the story of robin hood prince john was robins enemy and in 3×18 Johnathan got out a handkerchief with the royal crest on it which was a lion
the same lion thats on robins wrist
what if this little link or clue has something to do with robins back story ?!?!I guess if there’s gonna be a backstory between Jonathan and Robin, it’d have to be with an older Jonathan, because Robin’s from the Regina generation, not the Cora generation, but I could definitely see them doing a story where Regina’s soulmate has an antagonistic history with the father of her half sister.
