ParticipantTranscript of the above interview is here.
Any chance August Booth will be back anytime soon?
Edward Kitsis: “Not this year but definitely. We love Eion Bailey and we love that character. He’s always on our mind.”
That resolves that, Eion was misquoted at the Con in France.

ParticipantSee, I took Rumple’s comment slightly differently – that he would never let go meaning not let go of his hand, and fall through the portal WITH him.
Agreed. And if Rumple got it in his head that he could go back to the portal moment, and this time HE made the sacrifice of losing his magic, by falling through the portal, instead of Bae having to sacrifice his life later on, I absolutely think Rumple would try to make that happen.
Did anyone find Emma a little too chipper about her magic?
Yeah, that was very annoying–not to see her doing magic, but to see her being so gleeful and nonchalant. It was sooooo un-Emma! Yes, Emma has come a LONG way since her Miss Skeptic days of S1, but every time we’ve seen her do magic in S2 and S3, Emma has always done so reluctantly. Now we have Emma being a bit too trigger happy, if you ask me, which sort of suggests we might see a slightly darker version of Emma should she take Regina’s suggestion and fully embrace magic as a lifestyle.
Her being so chipper did feel out of place. I get that it’s exciting when you’ve mastered the art of magically poofing things from one place to the other, but given the current situation in town, all things considered, her mood didn’t really seem to fit in that moment. I do think she’ll be tempted to go dark at some point in the future, it’s sort of a standard storytelling technique for the powerful person to be tempted to the dark side.
I don’t know how to embed links on here. I tried previewing the code and ended up getting html jibberish. Anyhow, hope this link and video work.
Like RG said, it does sound a little bit like my own headcanon in places. Mine involves Well of Wonders water being used to free Rumple from the Vault though, and Hook dying while protecting Neal and Belle from a Monkey, (which would make up for his “Sorry?” to Belle for having threatened her life multiple times, as a bonus for him protecting Neal this time around), but his using the Key would work in a similar way as well, because he’d be doing it for both Neal and Belle, to bring Rumple back for them. There’d be all sorts of true redemption for him in doing something like that.

ParticipantI don’t know how I feel about Hook using his ship if Regina can’t use her horse.
Regina loved her father more than she loved her horse, she killed the horse to avoidkilling her father, but only the sacrifice of the thing you love most will make the Curse work. Hook loved the JR above all else and all others. He valued being with his ship more than he valued preserving the lives of others, he spoke about her like she was a person, he took pride in knowing every floorboard of her deck. (Flook, CaptainFloor, whichever you call it, the love is true. ;-)) IMO the ship would qualify as the thing he loves most which could be sacrificed in order to cast the Curse.

ParticipantIt did seem that her crying was summoning that Twister, yes. Magic baby is uber magical.

ParticipantSo is it possible that the promo pics we saw of Regina, Henry & the Book were for 3×19 instead Of 3×16?
I think Regina was wearing that scarf on the previous book pics. But in those pics, she was sitting with Archie, and I don’t think he’s listed in the guest star list for 319, so I think this is a different scene.

ParticipantJust noticed Glinda’s necklace. It looks similar to Zelena’s, but white. There must be some signifigance to those pendants.
Yeah, it’s not super clear in the pic, but it does look like a white version of Zelena’s.
It’s Snow’s & Regina’s hair I’m not thrilled with.
Regina’s in particular. What even?

ParticipantI admit, the Hook Conspiracy Theorists got me thinking during last nights “sorry that was just me crossing my legs” weirdo line.
His bumping the table felt very deliberate IMO, like he was worried that whoever came through from the other side might somehow know his secret and reveal it. If the murder weapon and murderer need to be present to contact someone specific, and if he killed someone(/thing if they do attribute a soul to the ship in some way) and he did it with something that was still on his person, he would have been really wanting that seance to not be happening.
He’s clearly been keeping secrets, and there is no secret bigger than if he was the one who cast the Curse.

ParticipantIt’s hard to look at these pics and see Snowing as opposed to seeing Gosh. They are rather adorable.
It’s a boy, look closely between Snow’s fingers in the last pic.
It certainly looks like there’s something resting against her finger, yes.

ParticipantTHEN you can cast an enchantment to stop people from ripping it out (which, WHY DID REGINA NOT DO THIS TO HERSELF? SHE DID TO HENRY! IS THERE A RULE THAT YOU CAN’T DO IT WHEN YOU’RE OVER 18?!). THEN you can cast an enchantment to stop people from controlling you with it. Next, you can cast an enchantment to stop people from crushing it. I bet you this.
Doubtful on the last bit, because if it were possible, Regina would have done it. She was actually surprised that Zelena hadn’t killed her as soon as she got her heart. I guess, if she was expecting Zelena to kill her, then just putting a protection spell on herself to stop it being taken wouldn’t do much good, because Zelena could just kill her with her heart still inside her, if she couldn’t get it out of her. I suppose?

ParticipantThe whole thing with going back to a point in time when Bae was still alive fits quite nicely with the end of season theory I’ve been subscribing to, so perhaps that’s why I can see the positive in what was said in this ep? Granted, my headcanon involves going back to a different point in time to what either Zelena or Rumple were talking about, but still, it’s the same principal, so the fact they were talking about going back to a certain point in time to do things differently, like it was a thing that will be possible, to me it just gives me a glimmer of hope that what I’ve been thinking might actually fit in with what they’re actually gonna do, so maybe it’s not totally crackpot after all. And the way I’d been thinking, they’d just end up back at 312 and then time would carry on from that point and everything Zelena did to them all just won’t happen and instead they’ll defeat her, so if Neal was alive again, he’d stay alive, because it wouldn’t be a situation where the original t-word had to be restored.
