So…they’re undoing what Zelena undid in order to get back t Timeline A, which is the proper and correct timeline.
Well. That’s LOST S5 in a nutshell.
Incidentally, the season in which Bex Mader’s character died as a result of time jumps screwing her up. Hmmmm, wonder why they thought of her in particular to play Zelena. 😉

I’m not that familiar with their stuff apart from their podcast, but the two hosts ship SF (Zack said in this ep that he’s had people complain that he’s SO SF that it’s not fair on other ships, but he said he just personally doesn’t get CS or SQ at all). They also try to avoid spoilers, but they don’t stay completely out of the spoilery news loop.
In this scenario, them defeating her and righting the story would actually put them back on their RIGHT timeline and then Neal would live since he wasn’t supposed to die in the first place.
That’s similar to what I’m thinking, yeah. The t-word that’s SUPPOSED to happen is the one where Neal and Rumple both live and Zelena is defeated. So time would move forward as per normal once they all get back to FTL for the start of S3B redo.
Sidenote: I’m here listening to the Once Upon A Fans podcast and both hosts don’t believe Neal’s staying dead, to the point where they’re specifying that they’re saying words like dead and coffin with airquotes.

As far as the BTS pics, I’m assuming that Zelena succeeds in balefiring Regina’s thread of life all the way back to eliminate her existence, and that’s the AU that those pics are from. Hook was apparently driving a carriage, and no one said they saw anyone inside it, but my money is on it being Queen Zelena’s carriage. And then the good guys basically take what Zelena did with baelfiring Regina, and they turn it around and do the same thing to Zelena, only as far back as the events of 312, so we get the whole do over situation set up. Actually, I should have included Regina in my list of second chances in the previous ep, because when they baelfire Zelena, that undoes her baelfiring of Regina.

Ya see, it’s weird, but with each passing day, I keep feeling even more that Neal’s gonna be brought back in the finale. I’ve got my end of season headcanon with the baelfire thing with the time unraveling, and it all plays out so perfectly in my head.
They erase time back to when they all arrived in FTL, exact same shot, everyone looks over at Neal who is all O______O because the last thing he remembers is he died, and Belle gives him a bear hug because he’s back. Then they go over and wreck Philora’s picnic, because they’ve now figured out that they need to break through the floor to get to the Well of Wonders because the OUAT twist is that it’s that specific water that can harm the Wicked Witch, (which is why she had it boarded up in the first place so no one could use it against her). Then up pops Nyx, who happily gives them water to use on Zelena, because she’s been trying to break the laws of magic, and Nyx does not approve. Then she also gives some water to Belle and Neal, telling them that Rumple’s sacrifice in 311 means he’s granted a second chance and a happy ending. So Regina goes to dump water on Zelena at the castle, and Belle and Neal set off for the Vault again. This time they just need to pour the water into the keyhole, which is a lovely little mirror to the last time when it all went wrong, because they were led there by lying FLAMES and the symbol that was BURNED into Neal’s hand was the triangle, which is the alchemical symbol for FIRE, so this time they’re using water which is the total opposite, water extinguishes the harmful effects of fire, which means no nasty side effects this time around. And meanwhile back in NYC, Emma and Walsh are working together on their end to get back to where the others are, or there’s a plan in place to meet in SB again, either works, but the point is that at the very end, Emma and Neal are gonna see each other again and the season will end with an epic TLK.
I mean, it all fits together perfectly in my head. We KNOW that they’re gonna be messing with time because it’s Zelena’s big plan, so, yeah, I just can’t rule it out that at least some part of my crackpot headcanon could happen. It would explain Neal’s promo slogan. It would fit with the “second chances” theme in multiple ways, not only would Neal get a second chance at life, but Rumple gets a second chance too, and they get a second chance to take out Zelena. It would explain why they’re not bothering to dwell on Neal’s death right now, because there’s no point taking up screentime with that when he’s gonna come back eventually anyway, (don’t get me wrong, I will FOREVER be pissed that they’re not bothering to give him the attention he deserves right now, but from a we’ve-got-a-story-to-tell-in-a-restricted-amount-of-time perspective, the writers could justify it to themselves if he’s gonna be back). And it would give their heroine the most fricking EPIC love story of all, that even defied death, and let’s face it, the fricking Saviour should get a love story that defies death. No other love story could ever top that, and Emma “Saviour” Swan deserves to have the most dramatic, overcoming IMPOSSIBLE odds, love story ever.

Agreed, Blackbeard’s costume is exactly what I’d have expected their riff on the Disney Hook costume to be, with a dash of Jack Sparrow as a nod to PoTC. Not that I don’t appreciate Hook’s black coat, but it would have been great to have seen HIM in this Blackbeard costume.
A Death Unmournable
Okay, lemme get this straight:– Emma can’t take time to mourn Neal b/c she’s busy on the trail of the WW. (And throwing angry darts like she’s Graham in his S1 centric) And, more importantly b/c she’s **Emma** and she’s all, like closed-up/closed-off and keeps her emotions bottled up.
– Snow and Charming can’t mourn Neal b/c if they developed a relationship with him in the lost year, they can’t remember it—and prior to that he was at best a recent acquaintance with whom they were cordial but hardly intimate.
– Henry can’t mourn Neal b/c he doesn’t remember ever having met (much less loved) him.
– Rumple can’t mourn Neal b/c the WW has his dagger and is controlling him and most of what he does.
– Tink can’t mourn Neal b/c the show has forgotten that they once intimated that the two were acquainted in Neverland.
– Pinocchio can’t mourn Neal b/c it’s unclear if he is part of this new curse, and, having received his ‘second chance’ prematurely, he no longer remembers any of his interaction with, manipulation of, and across-a-decade acquaintance with Neal.
– Belle can’t mourn Neal b/c although WE remember they went on an adventure in the EF, she’s can’t.
– Regina can’t mourn Neal, b/c at best when she looks at Emma she’s thinking about her *own* loss of Daniel, and about how now that extra ‘person’ is totes out of the way when it comes to figuring out future Henry custody arrangements.
– and Hook can’t mourn Neal…because he seems to have completely fabricated a boy (and a mentor-mentee relationship) he affectionately calls ‘Bae’ that he spent significant time (if not a significant amount of time) with once, long ago. When he thinks about that time, it seems to give him indigestion, but not any actual pricks of conscience for what went down in that past.

Glad for Colin that he got to be a swashbuckling pirate again. That stuff was no doubt a big drawcard for him when he got the role, but it’s been ages since he got to have fun with that stuff.
Cora and Leopold dont even seem to know eachother remotely when he proposed to Regina. I highly doubt he and Cora made tacos together, let alone produced a child. A man is sure to remember atleast one of those things
Unless the woman he made tacos with later learns magic and gives him a mindwipe. I can see it now, in one of the YoungRoyals flashbacks, Leo will see Cora and freak out, then she’ll wipe his memories (like Regina did to Henry that time) so he can’t reveal to anyone that she had an illegitimate child and risk Henry divorcing her.
It’s fricking squicky that Cora married her daughter to a man she’d had a child with herself.
