    Welcome, lecygne! 🙂

Your views as someone who was a casual, non-shipping viewer don’t surprise me at all. This show is A&E’s own original fairytale, and their own original characters are at the centre of it, and have always been the intended endgame. Whatever twists and turns the story takes along the way, I really do believe that the story of Emma, Neal and Henry will have a happy ending, because that’s why everyone loves fairytales, for the “happily ever after”.

You know what….if the curse isn’t broken by Regina and Robin’s TLK…or Regina and Henry’s TL….I would love for the curse to be broken through Regina’s love for Zelena….that would show so much character development for Regina, who could realize that even though what happened is what happened…they’re still sisters….

Because the reality of the situation is….Regina and Zelena are all the other have left blood wise, and I would love for them to realize that life’s too short to hold on to grudges and regrets…..

Agreed. I’d really like it if the Regina/Zelena relationship was an ongoing storyline that gets built on even after they’ve defeated her.

I was half expecting a Lancelot shoutout, but I guess if Rapunzel had said his name, Charming would have been all, “Dude I know him, he married me and my wife!” and she’d be all, “What? He drowned when he was 16,” and Charming would be all, “Nope, he was pushing 30 when I met him,” then they’d have to take the time to explore that storyline a bit more, which they didn’t exactly have time for.

I’ll hold onto some faint hope in the back of my mind that maybe one day they’ll make some more Arthurian legend a central stroyline, and they’ll have a Lancelot is Rapunzel’s long lost brother, and surprise, Cora didn’t really kill him after all reveal. It’s just crack theory at this point, but it could also be the reason they chose to cast Rapunzel’s family as African American in the first place, so they could keep the Lancelot story in their back pocket for future use if necessary.

About the 315 synopsis that was mentioned a couple pages back, I think it can still fit if Neal’s the one who busted him out. If they’ve seen Rumple before they see Neal, they can say, “So we saw your dad,” and Neal can be all, “Oh thank God, he did get away,” and they can be all, “Yeah he was very much alive, but was acting like he’d lost his mind and then he ran off and we lost him,” which translates to, “while also trying to find his own father, Rumplestiltskin, whom he has just learned is alive but missing.” They just made a point with the closeups of both of the locks that someone had busted them open from the outside, and Neal’s unaccounted for, so he makes the most sense IMO.

It’s insane that we have all these awesome head canons going on right now, most of which could easily be right and what actually happens, and then we’re gonna watch the show on Sunday night and every single one of us will probably be wrong, LOL

This is why I don’t care about being spoiled. It keeps my brain active between eps, and most of the time I’m wrong, so it doesn’t ruin all the surprises in the eps. 😉

This show has been getting so good. Which on the one hand, maybe that’s because the episode order got cut so they were forced to make it jam packed with awesome so they could fit everything in, but on the other hand, it bums me out that they would have had more stories to tell and they would have been awesome to see.

The Once Upon A Fans podcast is gonna have one of the producers (I think? Don’t recall the name off the top of my head) in for an interview on their next podcast. Apparently he’s tweeted with them before saying that there were many other stories they wanted to tell, so I think they’re gonna try to get him to spill some beans in the interview.

I actually think the monkey IS Neal, and that’s why he’s been missing from SB. I suspect he gets transformed back by either Regina, Rumple or even Emma once they question if the monkey might be him. The monkey didn’t seem like he was trying to attack them, but merely communicate with them. Of course they don’t know monkey speak, so there’s a misunderstanding.

MAYBE EMMA HAS TO KISS HIM TO BREAK THE SPELL :D

I’m just not thinking of monkey-itis as a spell that can be broken, I guess. I’m thinking it’s like a vampire bite, once you get bitten, you’re one for life. Walsh, as head monkey, was trusted with the job of going after Emma, and got given a potion or something that allowed him to transform, (perhaps a limited number of times), but I think the human-ness was basically just an illusion, and he was really still a monkey. And if so, then I can’t see them turning one of their leads into a monkey when there’s no hope of them ever being themselves again. I might have my monkey lore all wrong, but that’s just how I’ve been looking at it.

If the monkey is Neal, I will eat my hat. they are assuming it too hard in the last few episodes with no proof to back themselves up. He is definitely NOT a monkey

Agreed with that. They’ve suggested so many times that he might be a monkey, there’s no twist in the story if oh yeah, they were right, he’s totes a monkey. Makes more sense that they’d shock the characters by having human Neal turn up instead.

This is a good idea that someone suggested I think.

What if all those voices in Rumple’s head are the missing memories of the Storybrooke residents? How the heck would they get them out of his head and back to their respective owners?

I do like that a lot.

I think it’s just a case of Emma being in two minds about it all at the moment. A couple of days ago, she was all about helping Regina make the memory potion, but now she’s had a couple of days to think about things, she’s wondering if that’s what’s really best and easiest for Henry. With that context, “here’s” works, because she’s debating her options still. I think the bulk of this last half of the season will have her in two minds about that issue, unsure of what would really be best for Henry, remembering or not, and being torn because big family reunion vs safe normal life. Her figuring out what’s best for Henry is also her figuring out what’s best for herself. She’s not just trying to define “home” for herself, but for them both, and she doesn’t wanna screw it up. So is she really thinking about what’s easiest for Henry, or what’s easiest for her? We’ve seen her debate that before when she didn’t know if she should tell Neal that Henry existed or not. In the end, she can’t just take the easiest option, but it’s gonna take her several eps to realise that and gain the courage to do the right thing and take what she’s thinking might be the harder path.

I’m still on team “here’s” not team “he’s”.

Neal and Emma meeting up before this scene doesn’t jive with my headcanon. I’ve decided that Neal’s the one who busted Rumple out, which means that whether or not Neal himself had been held prisoner, he knows stuff about Zelena’s movements. So why would Emma be asking Rumple if he knew where Zelena was like she’s clueless, if she’s already spoken to Neal? Also, I’d think that if Emma knew Neal was around, then him being able to be near Henry, restored memories or no, would be a factor she’s considering when she’s thinking of where they’ll end up living. Neal didn’t seem to be part of her thought process in this scene, not even a, “Neal’s lived there before, his apartment is still there, so maybe he’d be OK with moving back too so that Henry could get to know him.” So I don’t think she’s made contact with him yet. I reckon when she goes off trying to chase Rumple, instead she’s gonna end up running into Neal.

I’ve never been on board with Neal getting Monkey-fied because I’ve been thinking that Walsh was a unique case, and not every monkey can transform between human and monkey, I’ve been thinking that once you go monkey, you never go back, so Little John is pretty much screwed. Emma’s not acting here like she’s discovered Neal yet, and we know there’s a scene with them, which I’ve been thinking IS their first meeting, where he’s very much human. So I may be totally wrong (it’s been known to happen once or twice LOL) but I’ll be surprised if that monkey is Neal.
