Granted everybody is lying to him but Emma concocted the fiction they are all playing along with. A rift between mother and son is on the horizon I fear.
For the sake of continuity, I hope so. Emma promised back then to never lie to him again, and though this is a complicated situation, she’s still lying to him, and I do hope he calls her out on it. Could set up some lovely angst for Henry to be dealing with at the start of S4. He shouldn’t be happy with anyone who has been lying to him, but I’d imagine Emma would bear the brunt of his anger.
I was thinking the voices were the prophesies he sees/hears? I was never quite clear on how that works… I know it’s like pieces to a puzzle…but maybe he’s getting too many pieces all at once?
I like the sound of that. It’d be like the scene with the Seer where he was taking her powers and he couldn’t make sense of all the information that was being bombarded at him.
Poor Rumple! I just wanna hug him!

That’s basically it, yeah, though I think it’s actually Zelena that does something to bring back the Dark One. The lighting in the screencaps from the promo, I swear the BelleFire scene is at a different time of day to the scene with the dark stuff running into the circle and Rumple rising up. Anyway, basically, I’m thinking that Zelena found MortalRumple, but he was no use to her as a mortal, so she’s gonna summon back the Dark One and it’s gonna use Rumple as a flesh suit again.
BTW-I found out that someone’s birthday is tomorrow so I hereby declare that tomorrow is official PARTY DAY for our very own @Artseediva here!! Can you make that happen RG?!

Emma knows that her heart can’t be taken but does the WW actually know that? I bet she doesn’t since she hasn’t been around this group very long and the only two people who could tell her that fact would be Rumple or Snow (neither of whom would offer that info up to an evil stranger).
As long as Zelena asked the right questions, Rumple would have no choice but to tell her, because she has the Dagger. I do like your crack theory about TeamSF getting one over on Zelena though.
I’ve always found it curious with the Henry and the Em names. It really does make a lot of sense that Neal could be the Dorothy character trying to get home to Henry and Em, good thinking, dontstopbelievin. Insomnia FTW. 😉
And then, like I suggested a few pages back, Emma’s the heart that Zelena really wants, and she’s just gonna use Neal to get to it, because Emma’s heart can’t be taken against her will.
OMG – yes! Especially after last episode where Hook went off on a long speech about how her heart still works. It was foreshadowing…
They based Hook’s line on a Tin Man quote from the movie (and maybe book?) didn’t they? That line bugs me because people saw it as romantic, but, umm, no, it’s not at all romantic to tell someone you’re happy their heart is broken. Anyway, if it turns out it was foreshadowing for Emma being the Tin (wo)Man, that line will end up bugging me a whole lot less.

Seriously though, it’s a nice touch that the last time she saw the tatt, he was holding a glass full of alcohol, and same thing this time too.

Good question. The lock from the outside look liked it has been opened by someone smashing it open? But Rumple’s cage is also locked. So the only two candidates are Belle and Neal. Unless Rumple opened in a fit of sanity.
Both the cellar door lock and the cage lock were broken from the outside.

Neal is the only major character unaccounted for, and I think he was likely in a position where he was able to know where Rumple was so that he could bust him out.As for Belle remembering being frozen, I doubt it. If Zelena’s got half a brain, she wouldn’t let Belle remember that.
All this talk of songs made me go look up this song I heard on the radio recently, and I’d only heard it that once, but it gave me SF feels, and also just Neal feels. Anyway, it’s by a local group, so none of you would have heard of it, it’s more upbeat and uplifting than most songs that end up on emo ship playlists, though some of the lyrics do still make me a tad emo. Anyway, Geronimo, by Sheppard…
And my other Aussie artist contribution to the list is Reset All by Tina Arena, which is totally of the emo ship song variety, and it fits SF so well with what happened at the end of 311.
Re: Neal and Henry, I have the impression that as soon as Emma stated that Henry was her son, Neal wanted to be the father. He was looking for the answer to be “Yes” to the question, “Is this my son?”
OMG completely! PapaNeal gets me right in the FEELS. It’s gonna be rough when he rejoins the SB crowd and he can’t pick up his relationship with Henry. Even if Emma does tell Henry who Neal is, it’s not like Henry’s gonna wanna be his friend, which actually makes me think they probably will have Emma tell Henry that Neal is his father because the writers love to cause Neal pain.

It had been a million years since I’d heard this song and I’d forgotten it even existed. Thanks for the reminder, songs from that era take me back.
I agree that it would be epic if the way to Emma’s heart is via Neal. However, it still seems too soon for such a big reveal. I suspect we won’t have confirmation of who Emma’s true love is (other than Henry) until the s3 finale. Otherwise, it would be too risky to viewership.
But would it really be a great big revelation that someone can get to Emma via Neal? How many times has she said she loves him, and now she’s hoping to find him. It wouldn’t even need to be a confirmation of TL endgame or anything, but it should come as NO shock to anyone who watches this show that doing something to Neal’s heart will get to Emma’s heart, due to the fact that she has love for him.
