ParticipantIt will be interesting to learn why, when, and how Cora sent her to Oz. or, did someone else take her from Cora?
I reckon Cora gave the baby up very soon (if not immediately) after giving birth to her, purely because she was too poor to look after a baby, and (say it with me folks) she wanted to give her her best chance. Then I think after Rumple had been teaching Zelena, but then decided to pass her over and turn his attentions to Regina instead, Zelena became a loose canon that he couldn’t afford to have in FTL lest she try to mess with his Curse plans and/or contact her sister and mother. So, much like he needed Cora out of the way and had her sent to WL, he sent Zelena to Oz.

ParticipantLove that, Lauren!
I also love that of all the ep numbers, it happens to be number 14 that’s airing on Neal’s birthday of all days. Fingers crossed it’s a sign. If we get a SF reunion in this ep, I may or may not fall out of my chair from flailing so hard. š

ParticipantGinny’s looking pretty round, so it could be quite recent.

ParticipantThe bigger question for me⦠how did Coraās body get back to the EF? She died in our world. Regina buried her in her vault/family mausoleum in Storybrooke, didnāt she? So⦠it poofed back to EF along with them? Complete with a blood magic doorlock?!
I think perhaps that’s just an empty crypt in FTL? Regina thought Cora was in there, she didn’t know she was still alive until later in SB, so she’d have sealed the crypt with blood magic before she left FTL, thinking Cora was still in there.

ParticipantThat pic hits me right in the FEELS because it’s so accurate to their current situation. *sigh*

ParticipantI see your point Phee, but hereās another possibility. Letās say that Rumple and Zelena have been together for a year. Letās speculate that something has happened to Bae in the missing year in enchanted forest. Letās say Baeās life is in danger. That unless Rumpel intercedes in some way Bae will be killed or taken to a new land where he will never find happiness.
Wouldnāt Rumple move worlds to find a way to get Neal out of EF and bring him to a safe place, storybrooke? In that case, yes, I can see Rumple wanting to take action if either Neal or Belle were in danger and there was some way he could save them. At the same time though, he’d know that whatever he did, if magic were involved, there would be a price, and it could be his price that he’d try to save them and they’d end up dead instead. So it’d be risky, but I could certainly see him trying to craft some way around it if it meant trying to protect them.
My own headcanon right now though is that Neal was exempt from the new Curse somehow, because I reckon that’s gonna be him in the hood in SB, and FTL costume + in SB = that person evaded the new Curse and got there by some other means, so if that person IS Neal, then I’d think he’s pretty much in control of where he is and how he got there, and hasn’t had any aid from Rumple scheming. And Belle DID get caught in the new Curse, so if one of them did and not the other, then it doesn’t really work that Rumple had something to do with the Curse in order to protect them, because he’d have ensured that the Curse didn’t miss one of them, and he’d also have ensured that Zelena didn’t end up in either of their general vicinities.
My brain is getting tied in knots. LOL I’m ready for the next ep and some more facts to work with now please.

Participant*points at Keb’s post* All of that.
And while we tend to think that the head rulers have to be called king and queen in a kingdom, thatās not universally true historically (even within europe and accounting for linguistic differences).
Case in point, the husband of the current Queen of England has the titles Prince and Duke, but he’s not a King.
That image of a Prince climbing up Rapunzel’s tower with her hair is SO fairytale. Considering all the twists we get on the stories, it’s cool when we get those kinds of moments that are just straight up classic iconic fairytale.

ParticipantWould the curse have to pass to another individual and then pass back to Rumple?
I was thinking more along the lines of the Dark One having been sent somewhere similar to where the Waith’s collected souls go, (maybe even the same exact place), and Zelena brought it back and it took up residence in Rumple again.

ParticipantIt would be really easy for Rumple to control Zelenas actions. āWhy did you choose Regina over me?ā āAh because she is stronger willed than you are, Dearie. You could never have cast that curse. You couldnāt even recast it today through blood magic, because it requires Reginaās blood, and you could never get Reginaās blood.ā āHa! You think I canāt recast that curse? Watch me!ā
And being her mother’s daughter, if someone tells her she can’t do a thing, she is SO gonna do the thing.
āYou should never have brought me back.ā Ah, but isnāt he exactly where he wants to be?
Hmmm, that’s sort of a loaded question IMO. On the one hand, we’ve seen him move worlds to get back to his son before, so sure, it’d be fitting for him to strive to get back to Neal (and Belle) again. But on the other hand, he seemed perfectly willing to accept his fate in 311, because he felt it was the price he had to pay. He’s got enough experience under his belt now to know that messing with the fates and trying to avoid paying your price will mess you up, so would he accept that he should stay away, so as not to bring any more doom and gloom into the lives of his loved ones?
That being said, I’m sure that when Zelena brought him to SB, he wasn’t exactly bummed about the prospect of seeing his loved ones again, and if it wasn’t his doing in any way that he’s back there in their general vicinity, then his hands are clean and he won’t have to risk paying a price for the magic that makes that reunion possible.
