I wonder if Gold will have a centric………it’s getting so close and it seems not, which really would be hard to believe.
I’ve wondered if 318 could possibly be Rumple centric. We’re getting flashbacks of Cora, Eva and Leopold, none of whom are alive in present day to be able to connect/parallel the past/present story lines. Rumple has to be in those flashbacks though, and he’s also alive in present day, and as far as we know he’s presently in the company of Zelena, who we may well see being born in that ep. She’s only just had a centric, so won’t have another so soon, so it could be Rumple’s ep instead.

Good point, I hadn’t noticed that. Though if this really HAD been posted on imdb on Jan 4th, how did it not make its way around the fandom until a month and a half later?
Seems like a compilation of a few things we know for sure, and some of the fan theories going around, so not sure how much stock to put in it. Only thing in it that I haven’t heard before is the bit about Rumple being her teacher, which I’d be a bit surprised by, because it would feel like a bit of a retcon, because as far as we’ve seen so far, he had his sights firmly set on training Regina. Also, assuming Zelena has been in Oz for quite some time, it’d feel out of place if Rumple had been popping in and out of there, because we’ve seen him use Jefferson as his messenger boy where Oz was concerned.
Could we maybe get this link added to the first post for easy reference?

At the end of Once Upon a Time’s midseason finale, why did Emma end up in New York City, Neal’s recent home, rather than Boston, her most recent place of residence outside of Storybrooke? –R.T.

You know, I always thought there was … something … about Rumple’s last speech before he stabbed Pan. Something about his phrasing and intensity … like he was trying to pass a message or something.
I need to rewatch that. I haven’t had to heart to do so yet.
Here’s a transcript of the scene…
Pan: Look at you all. A captive audience. I could play with you like a pack of dogs, couldn’t I? I think I’ll start with these two. (Walks over to Belle and Neal) Hmm. You both look so adorable. Hard to tell who to kill first. (Shifts his gaze between both of them) No, it isn’t. (Points to Neal) You. You first.
(From behind, Mr. Gold clamps a hand on Pan’s left shoulder and tugs him away from Belle and Neal.)
Mr. Gold: Stay away from them.
Pan: How about this? The worm has teeth. (In a mocking tone) You’re here to protect their “loved ones”.
Mr. Gold: I’m not gonna let you touch either one of them.
Pan: Oh, I’d like to see that.
Mr. Gold: Oh, you will. Because I have a job to finish, and I have to do whatever it takes. No [inaudible]. And what needs to be done has a price. A price I’m finally willing to pay. (Looks to Neal) I used the curse to find you, Bae, to tell you I made a mistake. To make sure you had a chance at happiness.
(Pan openly laughs at his words.)
Mr. Gold: And that happiness is possible. Just not with me. I accept that.
Pan: Pretty, pretty words.
Mr. Gold: (To Neal) I love you, Bae. (Looks to Belle) And I love you, Belle, you made me stronger.
Pan: Stronger, yes. But still no magic.
Mr. Gold: Oh, but I don’t need it. You see, you may have lost your shadow, but there’s one thing you’re forgetting.
Pan: And what’s that?
Mr. Gold: (Triumphantly) So have I. I sent it away with something to hide. (He raises his hand into the air; summoning his shadow back with the dagger. As Mr. Gold takes hold of the dagger, the shadow goes back into him. Then, he forcibly holds Pan against himself.)
Pan: (Struggling to get free) What are you doing?!
Mr. Gold: You see, the only way for you to die, is if we both die. And now… now, I am ready. (He stabs Pan in the back with the blade, but also impales himself with it in the process. Pan screams in pain while Mr. Gold remains silent.)
(A cloud of black smoke covers Pan, who disappears. As the smoke dissipates, Malcolm appears in his place.)
Mr. Gold: Hello, Papa.
Malcolm: Rumple, please. You can stop this. Remove the dagger. We can start over. (Smiles) We can have a happy ending.
Mr. Gold: Oh, but I’m a villain. And villains don’t get happy endings. (He twists the dagger to embed deeper into both their wounds. Malcolm gasps in agony. A golden light peeks out from the blade and begins to shine even brighter. As Malcolm stops resisting the inevitable, Mr. Gold places a kiss on his cheek. The light engulfs them as they both disappear out of existence.)
(The remaining scroll drops to the floor while the freezing spell on the group wears off. All are visibly in shock over the unexpected turn of events. Belle collapses on the ground in a fit of grief.)Maybe it could be his comment about being a villain that contributes to Belle’s realisation? She always believed there was good in him, and then he sacrificed himself, so it’s not like she’d see him as a villain at all. That coupled with how he disappeared would probably give her some serious pause for thought.
Maybe Belle realizes that a person without a shadow can’t be “killed” in the traditional sense. I’m pretty sure that Rumple was still shadow-less when he stabbed himself. If I recall correctly, Rumple’s shadow handed him the dagger, but then flew away.
The shadow flew into him when it gave him back the dagger. Was gonna find the scene so I could re-watch to check, but that transcript I found mentions it happening.
The way they did Cinderella or Ariel I could see her getting an episode to focus a bit on her story but I think it would involve other characters or some big plot point that runs parallel to something else.
Yeah it’d be somehow related to the main event present day plot of the show if they were gonna show her history. Didn’t Sarah tweet only a week or so ago, a pic of her with a Sleeping Beauty In The Pink Dress tempt tatt? She’d been opening fanmail and was thanking someone for sending it to her. I’m sure I saw that tweet, but now I can’t find it, did she delete it for sneaky reasons, or did I imagine the whole thing? Obviously, even though I’ve now slept, I’m still hung up on her pink dress tweet. Why mention the specific colour of her dress? With a 😉 after her comment? I remain suspicious.

Curious though that 3×19 is likely an Aurora’s story so close to 3×18 which is heavy on Regina’s family and the Witch potentially. Makes me wonder if that scene where Regina prepares the sleeping curse to put David under and that it is administered by the spindle of Rumple’s wheel is foreshadowing a connection. Given all we know is that Aurora’s sleeping curse was done as an act of sacrifice. And if 3×19 is Oz heavy as speculated might the Witch and Aurora have some history together?
I always thought it was rather random of them to make Charming prick himself of the spinning wheel. Would be cool if they did that as deliberate forshadowing of some sort of connection though.
Is it almost time to film Sarah and Ginny and babies?
Aurora should have had her baby by now if a year has passed as she was already pregnant before that. Unless she gets stuck somewhere without time moving like poor Cinderella did.
They wouldn’t give Aurora a centric – she’s not a regular.
Non-regulars have had centrics before. They’re obviously keeping her around and bringing her back for some reason that’s specific to her character, not some plot point they could use some other character for. She started out as a bit-part, but they’ve kept her around for some time now, so I could see them eventually giving her a centric to fill in the classic Sleeping Beauty story that everyone would love to see their take on.
Because she wasn’t cursed originally, nor was Hook because of Cora.
Nor were Robin and the Merry Men, but they end up in SB. Nor was Neal, though we don’t know where he currently is. Regardless of Neal though, Robin and his men disprove that people who weren’t taken with the old Curse automatically get left behind with the new Curse.
Yeah I don’t get the pink dress reference from Sarah. She’s always worn purple. The 3×19 title SCREAMS Oz and Oz storyline, so….who knows?
This is probably the insomnia talking, and I’ll probably change my mind when my brain is actually awake, but right now I sorta want Glinda to be Aurora’s mother and for the untold Maleficent history to tie into Oz via Glinda. Though that conflicts with my previously thinking that Glinda was Eva’s sister. Because if both were true, that’d mean that Aurora is…Snow’s cousin? And even my insomniac brain isn’t thrilled by that particular crack.
She wasn’t wearing pink in 312, was she? Sarah made a point to mention she’s wearing pink and was all “any guesses?” like there was something to guess at. Is there any chance that if they’ve started on 319, it’s an Aurora centric? Because…
I dunno if Adam and Eddy would insist on writing an Aurora centric themselves though. And I have no idea where Kristen Bauer van Straten is at the moment. And we never got casting leaks for either of Aurora’s parents, (unless Glinda is her mother). So it may not be very likely really. I just had to get this pink dress thought out of my brain because it popped in there when I was trying to get to sleep and if I didn’t come post about it, I’d never get to sleep. LOL
