OK I’ve watched it now, and I take it back, my fave moment wasn’t Snow rejecting the name MM, it was Regina’s, “WELL IT’S ABOUT TIME,” because Regina is all of us.

My biggest nitpick is probably…what even was that protection spell on the Mayor’s office? You can still sneak in through the vent? And Cruella somehow got in too? Most pathetic protection spell ever, and so clearly just a weak plot device to get Henry separated from Robin. They couldn’t come up with a more believable way to get Henry and Cruella somewhere alone to have that conversation?

I am putting ”I have my reasons” in the same category as ”You’re questions are pointless.”

OMG that reminds me, I nearly flipped the table when Herc told Snow, “It’s not important,” when she wanted to know how he died. Thankfully they did actually answer that question later, but I was seriously doubting they would after having brushed off the question earlier in the ep.

That’s kind of a regal sounding name!

Haven’t seen the ep yet, but Snow rejecting the name Mary Margaret might just be one of my fave moments out of the whole entire show.

Sean being at the airport does indeed seem a bit ominous. :-/

PS. I hope Zelena ends up in that swiftly flowing river.

Maybe the main recipe of the Dark Curse consists of water from all five rivers of the Underworld?

Not that I imagine this was their plan for the origin of the Dark Curse from the very start of the show…but this could actually work. It had a drop of True Love potion on it so that it could be broken, so what’s to say that there’s not a drop from each of the rivers on there too, and each contributes to the Curse in some way?

Styx – River of hatred. (Someone choc full of hate and anger was needed to cast the Curse.)

Acheron – River of pain, which Charon ferries people across to get them into the Underworld. (Giving the Curse the ability to transport between realms.)

Lethe – River of forgetfulness. (Amnesia is totally a thing the Curse was about.)

Phlegethon – River of fire, that leads to Tartarus. (The caster of the Curse had to toss the heart into a fire.)

Cocytus – River of wailing. (The fandom. 😛 OK seriously, I dunno, maybe the emptiness that all the people got caught up in the Curse had to suffer?)

Bonus drop from Oceanus – River that encircled the world. (AKA the Town Line that kept everyone trapped.)

Go around to each river with an eye dropper, drip it all on there together and badda bing, badda boom, you’ve got yourself a Dark Curse.

Oh Lawd, I’ve barely recovered from the uproar that was the shooting of the Arrow funeral, and now this. *TWITCH*

Maybe this is why they’re shooting multiple eps at once, to try and confuse people with “but he was shooting for the finale the other day, wasn’t he” stuff. But given how readily they allow huge things to be spoiled when people see them shooting it, I dunno if I can give them enough credit to be orchestrating things to try and throw people off. The explanation can’t be too straightforward though, consdering that people with headstones were actually shooting the funeral scene.

All I know for sure is if they save one main character’s boyfriend from death, but then just let another main character’s boyfriend die and let it stick immediately after, then I’ll set a table for all the Robin Hood fans at our neverending wake for Neal, because bitter misery loves company.

*pouring RG a drink beause I’m about to talk about differences between the Greek myth and the show’s interpretation*

Greek!Underworld, it’s got several sections and the section you end up residing is in dependant on whether or not you behaved in life, but all those different areas are just different places within the Underworld as a whole, yes? Greek!Hades doesn’t like letting souls out of the Underworld, because that’s where all souls belong and it’s his job to keep them there, yes?

But it seems that Show!Underworld is like a halfway house where you can camp out until you sort your unresolved stuff out, and if that happens, you get to cross the bridge, walk into the bright light to the better place, and you actually leave the Underworld. Show!Hades threw a tantrum when the clock ticked because he doesn’t wany anyone to leave his collection of minions, dammit.

So, he’s essentially holding souls hostage, which is a thing he shouldn’t be doing. It seems unreasonable that our little band of heroes can go around to every person in the Underworld and try to get them to move on. The reasonable solution would be to depose Hades, and install a new leader who would allow everyone the freedom to move on if they’re ready, then they can go home and leave the Underworld in better shape than when they found it.

I enjoyed Hades. Until they insisted on setting his hair on fire. The CGI actually seemed a tad improved through the whole ep, I thought, but then THAT’S the CGI note they ended on.

Anyway, hair that hurts my eyes notwithstanding, I think Greg Germann will be quite enjoyable to watch in this role. After just one scene, I can buy that he’s the arrogant guy who runs this place.

I liked James, we only saw him for a minute, but that character has some spark and is entertaining.

Then 2 seconds later, David walks in and you can almost hear the “DUUUUHHHHHH” that I imagine echoes in his head almost 24/7.

I guess that means Josh should be commended for playing them so differently, even when not given much material to work with. But it’s kinda sad how dull our Prince Charming has become.
