ParticipantI’d like to propose that perhaps this whole death is what it usually has been – a red herring. They use the words “regular character” very loosely. I bet it’s not one of the core characters – but someone like “Grumpy” or “Geppetto.” Actually, I think it might even be Ruby/Red. They never did have closure to her character – and it’s sort of weird that she’s just not around anymore. Perhaps this will close the loop for good.
It’s definitely one of the main cast. Matt Mitovitch was told by Adam and Eddy that Rumple is the only one who could be ruled out, and it was between the rest of the main cast. Matt’s even got a poll up on his site, with the 8 main cast members as the only options.

ParticipantQuestion: Didn’t ZoZo hold the dagger up himself in FTL when the parents where trying to stop the guards from taking their little girl I don’t remember it has been so long
No, Zoso wasn’t in possession of the dagger, the Duke was, which is how he was able to control Zoso. If Zoso had the dagger himself, he wouldn’t have been compelled to do the Duke’s bidding, and wouldn’t have needed Rumple to steal the dagger and stab him in order to be set free from what the Duke was making him do, and to be freed of the Dark One curse. Zoso held his hand in the air when performing the magic, but he didn’t have the dagger.

ParticipantI can buy the whole wiped memories thing as far as everyone missing a year. Everyone would know that Regina stopped Pan’s curse and that doing so meant going back to the EF. Since they have found themselves back in SB it would be pretty obvious that something is wrong here (especially if Snow shows up pregnant).
True. I guess things wouldn’t add up for them, memory-wise, so that could trigger them to ask questions like Belle does in that scene. I just hope that they do get that year of memories back, because there had to have been relationships developed during that time, (Snow and Regina, Regina and Robin, Neal and Belle, even hopefully Neal and Hook) and it would suck if they just forgot all about that year and never remembered.
Yes. The dagger went to Oz where the WWW found it. There’s a theory connecting the dagger to Oz
I’m not necessarily on board with Rumple and the dagger having gone to Oz, but I do think that WW found it and him shortly after he went *poof* and has had him under her thumb for the better part of a year by now.
It’s possible that the WWW still has the slippers.
Jefferson said they’d been moved but…he’s not exactly someone I would trust with my bank account, ya know?
Jefferson had no reason to lie though, he didn’t even know what the slippers had been for. Suppose that could have been an act on his part, but without getting Seb back to show what really happened, which at this stage doesn’t seem likely to happen, I’m inclined to just believe him in this case.
IF those red shoes that Eva was wearing were the ruby slippers, then they somehow ended up in Oz after her death, and weren’t there for too long before Dorothy used them to hop outta there. Which begs the question, how did Eva’s shoes end up in Oz? And this is where I’m gonna get RG on the hook to believe Jefferson…Sneaky Fairy saw to it that Eva’s shoes got out of FTL, so they could be used by Dorothy and taken to a land without magic, specifically so that Rumple couldn’t get his hands on them now that their guardian (Eva) was dead, because Sneaky Fairy wanted him to use the Curse instead. 😛

ParticipantWhile Glinda is portrayed as a “good witch” in the original Oz, I’m wondering if she’ll be made into a fairy for OUAT. If so, maybe Glinda is the little fairy who told August about Rumple’s dagger back in “The Return.” I’m just wondering if we’ll ever find out who is was. I used to think it was Blue, but Adam confirmed she didn’t have any memories during the curse. But maybe Blue gave instructions to Glinda as part of her “final preparations” to help ensure Emma broke the first curse (mentioned in “The Stranger” which was August’s backstory). We’re supposedly going to see August again, so maybe Glinda and August will appear in 3×19.
Interesting idea. I’d been on board with the crack theory that they could mash up Glinda with Blue, but it seems that’s not happening. I do hope they address who August got his info from, it’s one of those nagging things we really need to have tied up. If it were Glinda, then she must have had FTL connections to be able to know about Bae.
If they’re going to go that route, it would probably be Maggie Grace =p
Just a day or so ago, I saw someone somewhere suggest Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) if they were gonna cast a Lostie as Glinda. Elizabeth wouldn’t pass for “mid to late 20s” though. Maggie would work quite nicely.

ParticipantHappyEndings wrote: Or did Hook find the slippers
That’s so ridiculous that it’s obviously how it happens.
Now, I can’t get the image of Hook wearing ruby slippers out of my head! Hillarious!
They’d go beautifully with his red vest. 😉
Seriously though, this thing where no one remembers is…out of left field. Why is Belle asking “Who cursed us?” if they don’t even remember that they’ve been world hopping due to curses?
Also, LOL over Snow looking down and suddenly seeing a baby bump and being all, “WTF WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!”

ParticipantWait…that’s it?!
HOW IS THAT IT?!
And she wasted a bunch of questions that were stuff already answered in show. BAH!
Will we see Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) life before Rumple (Robert Carlyle)?
Kitsis: Not this season, but we plan to at some point.Well that at least partially answers the t-word question for Quiet Minds. Bit of a bummer, was hoping it might have been pre-Rumple.
Will we see Belle and Neal bond over their shared loss of loved ones?
Kitsis: Yup.Had figured we’d have to see that, and I can’t wait to see it.

ParticipantEmilie hasn’t filmed in nearly 2 weeks,
We don’t know that. She may have been regularly working and just shooting interior stuff.

Participantdoesnt it seem more like she’s working today and she ruined her good night sleep by drinking coffee?
Sounded to me like she had a coffee to get through the last stretch of a late night shooting, and then once she was finished and got home in the early hours (she sent the tweet at about 4am her time), she was still buzzing and couldn’t get to sleep.

ParticipantHad she not ripped her heart out, who knows where their story could have gone.
He’d have kept encouraging her dark side, and vice versa, and no good would have come from it. Cora was ruthless even before she removed her heart. All that stuff about wanting their necks to break and their knees to crack, girlfriend had her heart when she was saying all that stuff, so had she kept her heart, and stayed with Rumple, that darkness in her would have just grown until it totally consumed her. That enlightened Cora we saw for 5 seconds before she died, that person wouldn’t have been able to exist, because her heart would have become 100% rotten.
And though the Dark One side of Rumple would have reveled in that sort of a relationship with Cora, the real man inside him who wanted to find his son would have hated it, hated himself. He knew it was wrong. Cora actually did him a favour by taking out her heart and dumping him, because had that not happened, he’d have become darker, would have been distracted from his mission to find his son, and would have ended up wallowing in more self loathing.
The Dark One loved Cora….and whatever love she felt for him, it was only as the DO. I hardly think she would have taken a single glance at Spinner Rumple; the real man inside of him held and would have held no interest for her.
She was only interested because his power seduced her, and that was something she craved. Agreed that she wouldn’t have given him a second glance if she’d met him as the man he used to be. That’s the big difference between Cora and Belle, the latter could see that that man was still in there and could come to the surface again, and she thought that was beautiful. She saw through the facade and right through to his heart and wanted to encourage the best in him. Cora wanted to encourage the worst. Part of that was just because the power got her all hot and bothered, but it was also essentially because she was using him to achieve her own selfish ends, and that’s not a healthy kind of love.
And also, lest we forget, Rumpel wasn’t exactly opposed to Lacey who was a dark version of belle and similar to a magic-less Cora. Rump was into it totally.
I guess there was an element of Cora in Lacey, but I don’t think they were totally the same. Granted, Lacey wasn’t exactly opposed to seeing a guy get whacked repeatedly with a cane, but I don’t think Lacey would have instigated that sort of violence of her own accord. Cora on the other hand, even Cora who still had her heart back in the day, totally would have. Lacey was selfish, but didn’t have Cora’s vindictive streak. Lacey was just an immature girl, having herself some fun without really considering anyone else’s feelings. Cora considered everyone else very carefully and wanted to destroy them specifically so she could hurt them.
There was just enough of a Cora-ish edge to Lacey that it encouraged some darkness out of Rumple for a little while there, but ultimately he realised that it was wrong, and Belle is who he really wanted and needed, even though that was the harder path, because giving into one’s weaknesses, which Lacey would have been totally fine with, is the easy way out. I think if he’d stuck with Cora back in the day, at some point he’d have realised that it was the wrong path for him, just like he realised Lacey was wrong, but by the time he realised that about Cora, who’s to say how far gone he’d have been, and how much harder it would have been to pull himself out of it. She’d have had powerful magic by then to be able to oppose his wishes if he even looked like wanting out, and she could have kept oppressing the good man still buried inside, so she could keep him dark.
