ParticipantNo idea, but that was the night that he, Bec and JoAnna were shooting, I believe? We’d heard they were shooting down on the docks though? More pics here, including just one sneaky half pic of Bec, and a bunch of pics of the daytime shoot with Henry and Snowing.

ParticipantRumple never said that. Rumple’s direct quote is “You can have a chance at happiness, and that happiness is possible just not with me”. Possible does not mean a guarantee, same as saying it’s not a guarantee he would get a happy ending.
QuoteBut why have him even mention that it was a possibility if they were already planning to kill Neal? They could have written anything for Rumple’s goodbye to Neal, but those are the words they chose – hope for happiness in the future. The point I made still stands, I never said that Rumple offered a guarantee, I said that they had him put that sentiment out there, and if they did that right before they kill Neal, that’s a cruel misdirect, and it’s something that I don’t expect they’d do to a character that is 100% of their own invention. They don’t have many of those on this show. Neal, Emma and Henry are Adam and Eddy’s babies, and I just can’t imagine them putting one of those characters in the position where they’re basically saying to them, “Well your life sucked in pretty much every way, and then you were finally given hope that you could get your happy ending after all, but PSYCH, YOU’RE DEAD INSTEAD, SUCK IT.” And that’s what it would feel like if they killed Neal off after what they had Rumple say to him.

ParticipantRumple sacrificed himself in 3×11 so that Neal could have another go at happiness, just not with him.
Yep, and the fact that that happened as recently as 311, having Rumple say, “you can have your happy ending,” I just can’t fathom how it would be a natural story progression for them to then turn around and kill Neal less than half a season later. Unless they plan to give the whole show the biggest gut punch ever, why would they have given Rumple that line of dialogue to set up hope for Neal’s future if they were planning to take away Neal’s whole life? Does not compute IMO. So if the death is for story reasons, (and I’m with those who believe that Adam’s telling the truth on that one), and they do end up killing Neal, that line of dialogue from Rumple was the cruelest misdirect ever, and I’d honestly be very surprised if Adam and Eddy screwed one of their few 100% original characters over like that.

ParticipantHeather, WORD to your post from a few pages back. If it IS Hook that’s dying, I can believe that they had always planned for him to die at some point. Don’t have to suspend disbelief in order to be able to believe that that’s just a natural progression of and conclusion to his story line that they’d already had as his endgame, even if they’ve tweaked a couple of things along the way for him. Also agreed that I think (hope) Emma’s choice to not be with him will have been made clear before his death, so it won’t be a situation where the death of one side of the triangle allows for the other to happen, making it seem like Emma’s choice was taken away from her. No one wants that, because the fandom debate will NEVER end if that’s how the triangle gets resolved. For the sake of the characters themselves, I think Adam and Eddy would construct the story to show her very definitely having no deep romantic interest in Hook (frankly I think they’ve shown that pretty conclusively already) and have him accept that and have it change him as a person before he dies.
Read this on Tumblr:
MEAN THERE’S NO OTHER REASON WHY ELSE EMMA WOULD LITERALLY *SHUT* HER HEART OFF TO ANY AND ALL SORTS OF LOVE FOR 10 YEARS IF SHE HADN’T LOVED NEAL DEEPY AND WITH ALL HER HEART. THAT’S THE POINT. SHE GAVE HER HER WHOLE, ENTIRE HEART. SO WHEN HE LEFT AND SHE DIDN’T KNOW WHY, OBVIOUSLY IT WOULD AFFECT FOR 10 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE.
THAT is why I think Hook’s kiss ultimately won’t work on Emma Swan! She gave her heart to another along time ago and never really got it back.
THIS!!! Taking what Emma actually said in the show, she never stopped loving him after he left her. That means that in that scene at the end of 311, she still loves Neal. Maybe she hasn’t had that moment that caused her to consciously realise it yet, but as in the real timeline of her life that we saw play out in S1/S2, her love for Neal is still in there. So is it any wonder that the kiss didn’t work?

ParticipantSo maybe the death was pre-planned but the RELEASING of this spoiler is baffling unless you’re looking at marketing.
The spoiler got released when it did because the PA tweeted about having heard that someone was gonna die. Once that info was out there, Adam and Eddy had no choice but to confirm or deny it officially. I do think they’d have released the spoiler before S3B started anyway, but they probably would have saved it for an ad campaign that would have launched maybe a couple of weeks before the show comes back. Just enough time to get people, (the general viewership who see the TV promos, not just the online fandom) worked up about it and generate some momentum to hopefully boost the ratings for the first ep back. I can just imagine the promo, dramatic music, “Before the season is over…one…will…diiiiieeee,” with dramatic individual shots of the cast and each one fades to black. But they got beaten to the punch when the PA tweeted about it.

ParticipantSo while yes, there are show and story reasons that A and E have come up with to justify killing one member of this little unit, in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t make sense and I think audience members are going to be turned off.
I dunno. I mean, obviously if someone’s fave character gets killed off, that’s gonna be a major annoyance for that viewer, and all the characters on the hit list have very passionate followings, so no matter what happens, there’s gonna be a chunk of the fandom that’s majorly annoyed.
But with all the fake out deaths, I can see why they might feel the need for an ACTUAL death. Archie didn’t really die, Neal didn’t really die, Blue didn’t really die, Phillip didn’t really die, we can include S1 Henry in that as well. We know Rumple didn’t really die, and actually we can include the whole town of SB itself on this list, because it almost “died” in the S2 finale, but they saved it, and it’s gonna be brought back again in S3B, too. Cora and Pan died but they both had it coming. It’s about time they hit us with another Graham situation. They’ve hit us with the fake out death so many times, how are we supposed to take it seriously or be emotionally affected when someone “dies” now? If you think about it, people “dying” on this show has almost reached a laughable level. An actual death, a real dead means dead situation, would snap us back into line, and show us that the stakes ARE actually really high, that characters we love CAN be killed, we can’t live in that false sense of security, they really do mean serious business, no more pussy footing around without having the guts to comprehensively axe a character for real.
So, much as I hate that one of our core characters is gonna die, I do think it’s a calculated move from a storytelling standpoint, designed to shake things up and raise the stakes.

ParticipantI was always under the impression that Leopold was Henry ‘s older brother: first in line to be king.
Nope, he’s not the right ethnicity to fit. Lana’s half Latina, and they made a point of casting Regina’s father (both young and old) and her grandfather with actors that fit that ethnicity. Richard Schiff, who plays Leo, doesn’t have a drop of Latin blood in him.

ParticipantTo supplement this theory that Eva is the sister of the witch:
-Eva’s name sounds similar to the Wicked Witch Of The East in the Disney version, who’s name was Evanora.
-Eva was wearing Ruby Slippers on her deathbed.
-Eva was kinda..wicked-ish during her time with young Cora
Eva made a possible Oz reference when she said that Cora spilled flour on her “slippers” to which the camera focused on for about a second
Good points, Watcher. I’m officially intrigued by this theory of Eva and WW being sisters.

ParticipantI’m telling you guys Adam & Eddy are resetting Once and what we are getting is Once Upon A Time 2.0
If that is the case they are risking alienating the Once Fans
If you wanna believe that and make assumptions before we even see it that make you wanna write the whole show off, then that’s your prerogative. First time I read this spoiler, I kinda rolled my eyes. Then I sat on it for about half an hour and thought out how they might do it and came up with something that I think would be plausible. And RG has come up with another plausible scenario too. And we’re both probably off the mark, and Adam and Eddy will have thought up something else that will more than likely make sense. Why would they even want to reset whole chunks of the show? That would make all the hard work they’ve put in over the last 2 seasons, all the critisism they’ve endured, it would have all been for nothing. So I see no logic in assuming that that’s what they’re doing. Just because we don’t know what they’re up to, that doesn’t automatically mean it’s gonna suck. Seriously, fans complain that the show is too predictable, but when a spoiler doesn’t instantly make sense they say the whole show is a big fat fail. Which way do people want it to be: predictable, or with twists and turns? Just cut Adam and Eddy a break, wait and see what actually happens, and THEN judge whether it sucks and has jumped the shark or not.
