ParticipantBut what do you really think, kranen? đ
Honestly, and I posted this very thing in the SF thread not long before this pic went public, I think it’d be out of character for Emma to get romantically involved with Hook in their current situation. But then this blurb says that Emma’s the one who initiates it. But it also says it’s a heat of the moment thing when they have a breakthrough about finding Henry. I could see her having an emo outburst when that breakthrough happens, where she maybe even hugs her parents first, and then plants the kiss on Hook. That to me would be a believable way for it to happen, as opposed to a pre-meditated kiss. The full context, and how they react afterwards will be just as important if not moreso than the actual kiss itself, so I’m just gonna sit back and wait to see how it all plays out.
And if she does grab him by his collar to pull him in fast for that kiss like the pic implies, even as a SF shipper, I’m gonna swoon and just imagine myself in Emma’s position. đ

ParticipantAlso in the picture it looks like Bandit Snow, does Snow still have connections with other royalty when sheâs on the run?
Yeah, I know a couple of us questioned this briefly before, but now that we have info suggesting that Snow is gonna help Ariel get to Eric, I guess she must still be in contact with other royals, even while she’s on the run.

Is Neverland playing a trick on us? You’d think so, looking at this hot kiss between Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) in the Oct 27 episode of Once Upon A Time. But we assure you this is not the work of magic or a fake-out. Emma lays one on the handsome Hook after a tiny but much needed victory in their quest to find her son, Henry (Jared Gilmore), who is in the grip of the Lost Boys. “In that adrenaline, she realises that this person has participated and made it possible,” Morrison says of the lip-lock. “It’s a very human moment.” And it’s one that will surely please so-called “Captain Swan” fans, who have been rooting for a romance between the pair since Hook’s debut in season 2. O’Donoghue is excited for fans to get more of Hook’s backstory in this episode and says he’s always seen chemistry between Emma and Hook. Still, the fan-demonium around the pairing makes him laugh. “There’s not that many single people in the group on the quest, so maybe that’s what it is,” he says. “Emma’s not really going to go for her dad, you know what I mean?” One character who might have a problem with the kiss, however, is Emma’s former boyfriend Neal (Michael Raymond James), whom Emma & Co still believe to be dead – even though he’s really in the Enchanted Forest and trying to get to Neverland. But all Emma’s focused on right now is finding her son, Morrison says, and she’ll show her loyalty – and perhaps more affection – to anyone who helps her get him back. “The fact that Hook seems, at this point, to have consistently had good ideas and has active ideas to save Henry, it’s definitely gotten her attention,” she says. One question remains, though: Will there be more kissing? The actors won’t say, but O’Donoghue hints, “He’s Captain Hook. He’s game for anything, really.”

I may not ship it, but even I have to admit that that particular pic looks hot with the way she’s grabbing his collar.

ParticipantGiven that we’ve already seen that very similar lion motif in the show already, I think there’s gotta be some connection to George. The lion in Robin’s tatt is facing the opposite way to the lion in George’s crest, which could mean something or could mean nothing.
I will laugh if he’s actually related to George, because then the family tree gets even more twisty, considering Charming was kinda sorta for about 5 minutes fake related to George. Regina would end up with someone who is actually related in some way to the Charmings. YAY for one big happy family. đ

ParticipantâIâll do what needs to be done.â Got a really bad dark vibe from that line.
And then he says that he wonât be killing lost boys. Parents will do they need to do: but murder is a line heâs not crossing.
Yes, please consider the actual context of that whole part of the conversation, and Neal’s full statement. Taking one short soundgrab from it is rather unfair IMO.
Rumple: As noble as their intentions may be, they don’t have the stomach to do what needs to be done.
Neal: Like what you did to these boys? They’re not, uh…
Rumple: No, they’re just sleeping, for now.
Neal: Let’s leave it that way, OK.
Rumple: You don’t have the stomach either
Neal: I’ll do what needs to be done, but killing Lost Boys, we don’t have to do that.
Rumple: We shall see.Neal was glaring when he was about to question Rumple about whether or not the boys were dead, and he couldn’t even bring himself to say the word “dead”, so he’s quite obviously not in favour of just going dark and rushing in and shooting the place up. Those boys are all probably people that Neal knows by name and spent a lot of time with, so even if they’re not his favourite people, they’re still familiar human beings, and Neal isn’t the type to just go in an slaughter them the way that Darker One Rumple would.
Daddy Rumple and Baby Bae are going on an adventure Together I may not survive next episode
Daddy Rumple and Baby Bae, awwww bless. <3 I'm REALLY looking forward to all of their interaction in this ep.
Speculation on âother wayâ:
I think it probably has something to do with the fact that Nealfire has escaped NL before. But what he doesnât realize, of course, was that it was engineered by PP. So Neal thinks he can get everyone out of NL the same way he did, but like we saw in the promo, PP tells him: âthere is no escaping NL.â I bet Neal learns that it was PP who let him go, rather than Neal actually escaping.
Yes!
I am hoping Neal will check Rumple rather than Rumple dragging Neal down, just as I hope for all our Goodies not to descend while our Baddies reform. I donât want them to all meet in the middle in morality, as I am hoping for more of an upward shift overall. The writers probably will not do that, so perhaps they are planning to have a spiral of moral collapse. We did see sweet Henry shooting an arrow at Pan. Emma and Charming holding knives at peopleâs throats (but they backed off).
NL is bringing out the darkness in everyone I think, but I had some small hope from seeing that scene, that they will beat that darkness.
Agreed with all of that.Phee
ParticipantLove the poems, well done! đ
Snow Phoenix would totally be Snow’s drink of choice.
At first I thought Snow was the one who said, âWhatâs your problem?â to Regina. The second time watching it though, I realized Emma was the one who said it! Emma is the one who could not believe Regina would insinuate Emma and Hook were romantically involved. That means Emma shot down that idea. Then Snow emphasized that Emma had just lost Neal. This is a clear indicator that Emma isnât over Neal the same way Regina hasnât quite gotten over Daniel (despite the fact itâs been several decades). Clearly, Emma isnât ready to move on, nor will she likely when she discovers Neal is alive.
Exactly. This is why I think it would be bizarrely out of character if Emma started anything up with Hook right now.
1. The girl I directed part of the post too did not read most of it. She took exception to me calling people âirritating and shallowâ and pretty much told me that Neal sucks and thatâs that.
Gotta love the she called you shallow, but didn’t look below the surface of your post.
2. Most of the people there want Emma with Hook because they think heâs the hotter guy. Seriously. Thatâs their ONLY reason. I want to bang my head on a wall. Ship who you want but good grief, have a valid reason.
Imagine all of the CS interactions we’ve seen playing out in exactly the same way, only transplant Dustin Hoffman’s Hook in there instead of Colin’s. I’m not complaining about the look they went for with Hook, because I appreciate said look greatly. đ I’m just sayin’, you wouldn’t have people shipping it like they do if they’d told the same story they have, with a very different looking Hook.
3. No one said much about Emmaâs conversation with Snow. Were we all watching the same show?! That was INSANELY emotional and heartbreaking and Iâm stunned there wasnât more conversation about it.
It’s only a vitally important moment for the character development of one of the main characters, and will influence how she reacts in the scheme of the major plot for the first half of the season. It’s no biggie, really. đ
5. Someone brought up Neal using Roland as bait to get the shadow to appear and was NOT happy about it. She pointed out that Neal would never go for someone using Henry as bait, which is probably true, but yet here they all are in Neverland because Henry is being held hostage by a psychotic Peter Pan and he doesnât have a protective parent watching out for him right now. Double standard anyone?!
When Neal didn’t fight for Emma, he was a douchebag. When he does fight to get back to her, he’s still a douchebag. If he’d spent more time to try and find another way, he’d be a douchebag because obviously he’s not that desperate to get back to her after all and he’s wasting time. Neal’s just never gonna win with some people.
7. Someone else said the season was dullâŚ.again, are we watching the same show?!
Honestly, I think these last few eps are some of the best stuff they’ve ever done.

ParticipantJoAnna Garcia Swisher first heard that she was the Once Upon A time producers’ pick for the part of Ariel way back during the show’s first season. Cut to two years later, when she finally received the call to slip in her Little Mermaid fin – just three months after giving birth to a daughter, Emerson, this past May.
“I was so excited to do this show that I didn’t realise I would be wearing next to nothing postbaby,” she says with a sigh on location in Vancouver. “And my butt is so big. But that’s life.”
Ariel first appears in Neverland as she comes to the rescue of a drowning Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), and neither actress was particularly fond of shooting for “Under The Sea” scenes. “I had begged not to be included in the Ariel story because I hate being in water more than anything on the planet,” says Goodwin. “Even though I got very wet, I have to say it ended up making for one of our best episodes.” Garcia Swisher had it even tougher – she had to swim in a tank while her legs were bound in a tail. “It was so crazy, I can’t even tell you,” says the actress.
Snow White ends up thanking Ariel by helping to unite the mermaid with her beloved Price Eric (Gil McKinney), whom Garcia Swisher says “Is everything to Ariel and the reason she gets into trouble.”
What sort of trouble? At a ball, Ariel voices displeasure over crab being served (a nod to her calypso-singing crustacean pal from the 1989 animated Disney film The Little Mermaid). But her primary threat is evil sea witch Ursula who, “turns out to be an incredibly powerful goddess,” Garcia Swisher teases. “She grants my people their wish to have legs once a year – but there’s always a price for magic.”
Surely it was meant to say FTL instead of NL, because Snow’s in FTL, and safe to say Eric is as well. But we’ve seen mermaids in NL, so the question still remains of if Ariel’s one of them, and if merfolk have portal access.
This new info about Ursula granting them legs once a year makes me wonder if perhaps she opens up a portal for them, because really, who wants to walk around NL if you only have limited time to walk around?
It’s curious that they’re gonna have her saving Snow instead of Eric, because for all the differences in the love story in the Disney and Anderson versions, one thing that’s the same in both is that the love story begins with her saving the Prince from drowning. Suppose it’s still possible that we’ll also see her saving Eric at some point, but I don’t think they’ve shot that yet because they’d likely have shot it the same day they shot Snow’s drowning scene, and Gil wasn’t on set yet. Ariel’s still gotta find out that Eric exists somehow. If she’s only human once a year, I dunno how they’d be able to have a committed relationship. And I’m not even saying that with my Hookriel goggles on, I’m just straight up wondering how much time they really get to spend as a couple if she’s only got legs momentarily once a year. Maybe she saved him when they were much younger, and she’s come back to see him for one date, once a year? Would he even know that she’s a mermaid in that case? Or would she just be a mysterious girl who always pops up on the same day every year?
Anyway, back to the Ursula thing, and the word “goddess” does instantly make you think Calypso, just because of PotC. Though if they’re gonna stick with Ariel’s father being Triton, and make him the sea god of Greek myth, then there are automatically more options because any female relation can be written as a sea goddess. Either way though, we haven’t had a casting call for a sea goddess, so hmmmm.

Participant“There is no escaping Neverland.”
Does he mean that as in, “NL will always be a part of you.”??
Or is he gonna keep talking and say, “The only way someone escapes, is if I set them free.”??The reason I wonder about the latter option is that what if Neal is under the impression that he did escape by the power of his own will, determination and actions, and Pan’s gonna tell him that that wasn’t actually the case, which would then shake Neal’s confidence regarding his ability to help save Henry and get him away from NL?

ParticipantThis is all really interesting stuff. I especially love the unicorn stuff. Had never really put that together before, and I love how it fits with Robin’s lion, too.
