Scrolling through the OUAT tumblr tag, the Rumple pic is repeated a bunch of times, and every time I see it, it still gives me the creeps, like he’s gonna crawl outta the screen and get me. Nicely played, Mr Carlyle.
[adrotate group="5"]I find this pic really unnerving. Rumple has always had a devious glint in his eye, but when he smirks, you can see some fun and cheekiness behind it. The smirk in this photo is a whole new deal. I look at his face in this pic and hear his voice saying, (deadpan, without his usual chipper air), “I’m coming to get you, Dearie,” and it gives me chills. There’s no conscience behind his expression in this photo. It’s all Dark One, no Rumplestiltskin.
And that probably fits with his journey in NL, because as far as he’s concerned, the games are over and this is his endgame, so conscience goes out the window and he embraces the Dark One completely.
After the way their last interaction ended, I can’t see any way in which they wouldn’t end up together. Will be very surprised especially if they end up with different partners…
It’s what I think makes the most sense from a storytelling perspective.
They started out young and blissfully in love, had big plans for their future, then had them ripped apart by an outside force. Then against all odds, they ran into each other again 11 years later, but had Neal’s fiance there as a plot device so SF couldn’t really address all their unresolved stuff from 11 years ago. Then it turns out the fiance is evil, so she’s not really a solid barrier to them getting back together after all, but in the same moment that’s confirmed, they get ripped apart AGAIN by a force they can’t control. Now Neal’s gonna find a way back to her, this time it’s not accidental that they’ll see each other again, there’s actual, determined will that’s gonna see them reunited this time. And maybe there’s gonna be a Hook in the way, given the relationship Neal has with Hook, and the relationship that Emma has with Hook, even if that doesn’t turn romantic, it’ll still be a point of contention for Neal and Emma.
Why would they write a story that throws so many obstacles in the way of SF if it wasn’t build up for them eventually, finally, overcoming it all and ending up together?
It’s blurry, but that does look like crazy big hair, so yeah, I’d guess he’s the nod to Rufio. Maybe he’s Devin?

I have this little bit of dream headcanon that has a 0.000001% chance of ever happening, where Hook gets his hand back, and the first thing he does is goes to his cabin and pulls out a chest he hasn’t opened in nigh on 300 years, and he takes out a guitar, and has a go to see if he can still remember the chords. So this photo kinda did me in. At least if I never get that headcanon, I still have this pic. 😉
At some point Neal will end up in NL, not only for CSF but also because it would be such a waste to not have him there: his son is there, his father, he spent 200+ years there! So shipping aside, it makes sense.
And we’re all suspecting they’ll be leaving NL by the mid-season break, so having him get there around 307 gives him 4 – 5 eps there, which is a decent amount.
And I’ll even look forward to the interactions between Hook and Neal as adults and how they in turn relate to Emma.
I’m almost more excited for the CaptainFire reunion than I am for the SwanFire reunion. I NEED to see how adult Bae is gonna react to Hook!

Searched her @ replies. Someone spammed this message to Adam 100 TIMES in the space of about an hour.

And a few hours before that first person sent the message 100 times, they’d already sent it 50 times. They also sent it 100 times the day before, and 70 times the day before that. And possibly even before that, but I’m not inspired to see how far back it goes. So, yeah, I’m thinking that’s what the comment about lots of tweets about her being on the show was about.
