ParticipantI would assume RH would be standing where he is standing…. Stunt double maybe?
Yeah, you can see in a couple of pics that he’s wearing the same scarf that Sean’s wearing, so he’s the stunt double, (though there aren’t any pics of anything stunt-y going on).
I just…like, with the Dark Swan promo, and them hyping her up to be all dark and dangerous and whatnot…the Emma we’re seeing in these pics, just…does not compute and seems terribly underwhelming.
Is that some sorta merdragon on the Camelot flags?

ParticipantI think they are filming promos. The only thing that makes sense
The pic of them all standing in rows does seem particularly promo-y. But that’s one pricey promo if they’re using Roland, Granny, Grumpy, Arthur, Camelot knights on horseback etc.
Dunno how much of a flashforward it could be when they have all our regular characters running around still the same age, Roland and Henry in particular. The Diner looks like it’s been in the forest for a while, but please don’t ask me to buy that we’re seeing something ages in the future when no one’s aged.
*ponders crackpot theories*
Everyone’s in the Diner, and whoever’s got the Dagger is all, “Reunite us with Emma Swan”, and *poof* the Diner and everyone in it lands in the EF. Though that doesn’t explain how Rumple’s there looking all Rumpley…so probably not.Phee
ParticipantI hope they aren’t going to try to sell us some bff type deal with Merida and Emma like they did with Elsa.
I actually hope (*twitch*) they do, because Merida’s thing is like…
“There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it.”
and…
“There comes a day when I don’t have to be a princess. No rules, no expectations. A day where anything can happen. A day where I can change my fate.”
and…
“I am Merida, and I’ll be shooting for my own hand.”
…and I’d rather Emma end up being the one to save herself from the DO curse by summoning the self belief to beat it, so I’d be pretty OK with Merida’s attitude rubbing off on her a bit.

ParticipantUnmnmm. What the heck. My post just disappeared. Again >___< I can’t even right now.
So it’s not just me then? My post posted, but when I went back to the list of topics, it wasn’t showing that I’d posted, so I went back in the thread and my post wasn’t there. Logged out and back in again, posted again, and suddenly my previous post was showing up as well. Watcher, I can see two posts from you, this one I’ve quoted, and the one that you said had disappeared. Let’s see if this post shows up after I hit submit…
Edit: OK, looks like it’s working again now.

Participant(Ignore this if it shows up, I’m just testing because I posted something and it didn’t show up.)
Edit: OK things are showing up now. That was weird. Nevermind. Carry on.Phee
ParticipantIn all honesty, I don’t think Merida will be a blood relative, and for one major reason. Disney might have Adam and Eddy on a tight leash in regards to what they can do with the character, like what happened with the Frozen characters. Especially when Merida is a purely Disney-Pixar creation. Anna and Elsa were carbon copies of their film counterparts, so chances are the same will be the case for Merida. So like Anna and Elsa, I think the twist with Merida will simply be how that character interacts with the OUAT universe, while she’ll remain true to the original character.
I’m inclined to think this too. As far as the OUAT universe is concerned, Merida’s story from the movie already happened, and this is the next chapter. So they could have her befriend Emma because she’s got the experience of having had a mother who became a beast, but was still a good person on the inside and she helped save her, so she’s gonna help Emma too. And Merida’s experience with claiming ownership over herself and her own destiny could help influence Emma to do the same and overcome the DO.
Still can’t really figure out how Emma and Merida end up in a scene with PeasantRumple, unless Emma gets sent back in time. Unless it’s some sorta flash sideways.
*whispers* Part of me wants Merida to exist in the present time so I can ship her with Mulan. BraveWarrior would be an awesome ship name.

ParticipantI’m not crazy, right, or is it just me that kind of thinks she looks like a mix of Bex and Sean (especially in that first picture)?
The red hair and mad bow skillz would certainly be fitting for someone who has Zelena and Robin as their parents. (Though if the actress keeps her Scottish accent, that wouldn’t be a fit.)
But I’m still not wrapping my head around the timeline business, and I kinda think that your theory is something beyond what the writers would have thought of, (I’m more inclined to think they just chose poor wording in answering a question).
It seems that Merida was the 3rd person in a scene that was shot with PeasantRumple and DarkEmma, which would place her in the EF in the time before Rumple became the DO. So at this point I’m inclined to think that she’s just someone who lived back in that time, and Emma got zapped back there for whatever reason.

ParticipantShe says that she has already filmed her opening scene and only met 2 of the main cast so far. I think it’s safe to assume that she was the ‘special guest’ working with Jen & Robert in the woods the other day.
Yup, seems so.

ParticipantCamelot exists in a parallel timeline?
What even do they mean by that? Parallel to SB? It can’t be parallel to the EF, because Lancelot’s been in both places. Right?
Thanks for keeping up with all the tweets, RG.

ParticipantI don’t recall there ever being a casting announcement during a panel.
Was Naveen as Jafar announced during a panel? Or was he just a surprise guest at the panel and we already knew he was cast?
I don’t mind the idea of Merlin aging backwards. Maybe his backwards aging gave him a foresight so he was able to set things up so that eventually the DO would end up in the vessel of someone with power enough to defeat it, like he couldn’t do himself. Or something?
