ParticipantLike I said in my previous post though, 308 isn’t likely to be Rumple centric, given that we’re already getting a Rumple centric in 304. So if Rumple’s father is shown, it’s likely a flashback of someone else’s centric ep. And I’d say by 308, they’d have got us addicted to PP to the point where it’ll be time for them to give him a centric and show us where he came from.
I wouldn’t really see them being brothers as adding a whole, new, crazy branch on the family tree. Don’t we wanna know about Rumple’s parents anyway? They’re currently question marks on the family tree, but they’re still there already. And if PP is his brother, it’s not like he’s married with kids, so that branch of the family tree stops there. It’d answer the questions we already have about Rumple’s immediate family, and close off that part of the story.

ParticipantSo you think the key Hook gives Emma and is part of 305 is somehow related to Keychain (who is potentially Michael Darling)? I gotta think on this.
No idea, haven’t thought it through, just figured I’d toss it out there because we’ve seen a key and we’re getting a Keychain.
Maybe, but I think they could just be 20-somethings playing older teenagers (like Parker Croft is 26 but playing an 17 or 18-year-old).
Casting call, (where I’m guessing this info came from) would have mentioned them as teenagers still, just like the casting call for Felix did.
That is an excellent point! Maybe Hook and Michael Darling are secret allies working to take down PP?
We’ve assumed the key was for a locked box that Bae’s old sword was in, but it could have been a key for anything, really.

ParticipantIt was too long to post in the chat, but this is the mention of the princes in the actual text of the story. It’s a brief mention in passing, they’re not actually characters…
I don’t know whether you have ever seen a map of a person’s mind. Doctors sometimes draw maps of other parts of you, and your own map can become intensely interesting, but catch them trying to draw a map of a child’s mind, which is not only confused, but keeps going round all the time. There are zigzag lines on it, just like your temperature on a card, and these are probably roads in the island; for the Neverland is always more or less an island, with astonishing splashes of colour here and there, and coral reefs and rakish-looking craft in the offing, and savages and lonely lairs, and gnomes who are mostly tailors, and caves through which a river runs, and princes with six elder brothers, and a hut fast going to decay, and one very small old lady with a hooked nose. It would be an easy map if that were all; but there is also first day at school, religion, fathers, the round pond, needlework, murders, hangings, verbs that take the dative, chocolate pudding day, getting into braces, say ninety-nine, three-pence for pulling out your tooth yourself, and so on; and either these are part of the island or they are another map showing through, and it is all rather confusing, especially as nothing will stand still.

ParticipantI’ve had it in my head for a while that Wendy searched for Bae, which she probably wasn’t really able to do properly until she was round about 20. Then I think she ended up in NL.
So, if we say that these late 20s guys are her younger brothers, I wanna say that they looked for Wendy, the same way she’d looked for Bae. That would lead them to NL as well. Almost 30s people aren’t PP’s faves, so they were forced into “years of servitude”.
How does someone end up with the nickname Keychain though? Hook’s gonna be flashing around a key in 301, and it’s probably gonna pop up again in 305 judging by the pic of the script that Adam tweeted.

ParticipantRegina/Tink headcanon…
Tink is Regina’s FGM, but she’s been shirking her duties, or perhaps Cora has even been preventing her. Tink used to be around more when Regina was a little girl, may even be the one who told her that true love is the most powerful magic, (Regina sure didn’t learn that from watching her parents), but she hasn’t been around in years. The scene we’ve seen the pic from is Regina hoping for a last ditch effort to get out of the wedding the day before. Tink says she can help Regina escape, and tells her to meet her somewhere later that day. Rumple then disposes of Tink to NL because he can’t have Regina having a FGM around to help her escape, and when Tink doesn’t show for their meeting, Regina feels betrayed and hopeless. Back at the castle that same day, she has the conversation with her father, (same dress as the pic with Tink), where he reveals the info about Rumple’s spell book. Some time after Regina goes all EQ, she manages to re-establish contact with Tink in NL, Tink tells her that Rumple sent her away, Regina figures that sounds about right, so the air is cleared between them and they remain in contact. This is how Regina knew all about Hook when he showed up at her castle. It’s also probably how Hook found out about Belle being at the castle, because Regina told Tink, “Gurl you’re gonna love what I just did to screw over Rumple-effing-stiltskin,” and Hook got the info out of her.
5)Hook– I’d really like it if he tried to rescue Bae in the past.
I too have it in my head that Hook will attempt to rescue Bae. But in the midst of the rescue, insert my previous point about Hook finding out from Tink about Rumple’s girlfriend. He’ll then decide to abandon the attempt to rescue Bae, and will steal fairy dust from Tink to enchant the JR and fly out of NL.
Smee was the one who put Milah’s picture where Bae could find it. He wanted Bae off his ship, because Smee was scared of PP, and Smee called the Lost Ones, so Hook was surprised when they showed up.
Ooooo, Sneaky Smee is sneaky, I like it.
There will be a giant magic squid/Krakken, that makes the magic ink that Regina wants so she can adjust the curse to add a fail-safe.
I like this too!
Ariel will help lead Neal back to the others.
When I was coming up with my little PP-ripped-Ariel’s-shadow theory the other day, I decided that she’s gonna be there to fish Neal out of the water when he comes through a portal. She knew him as Bae, and he’ll look at her all, “OMG Ariel,” and she’ll be all, “Ummm, who are you and how do you know me?” And he’ll be all, “It’s me, Bae,” and she’ll be stunned, and hug him, and I’ll have a new fave brotp called FireFish.
10)The giant squid is very ancient. It toppled the ship that Hook’s brother Liam led, just after Liam betrays Hook in a way that leaves him stranded, but Hook ends up rescued by pirates.
I like the idea of the kraken having attacked Liam’s ship. Wanna add that in present day, it’ll attack the JR and Hook will have a big hero moment when he kills it and saves everyone. It’ll be a revenge killing for the kraken having killed Liam back in the day.
The doll from the clip we’ve seen belongs to Rumple. He brought it with him when he went to NL as a boy because it was his happy thought. He left in NL because it no longer brought him joy.
This!! Also, the doll was made by Rumple and PP’s father.

ParticipantOne of the issues I have with them going from NL to Oz for the back half of S3 is that by the back half of S3, we’ll all be desperate to catch up on SB, and perhaps even a bit fatigued of always seeing the group that’s gonna be in NL. If they then go to Oz, we’re stuck in the same situation as the first 11, where we have to focus on the group of heroes and what they’re up to, to the detriment of showing SB.
If they go back to SB, we’ll still see those JR6 characters, but the secondary characters, (and Belle, if she doesn’t make it to NL), can be brought back into the mix, so it won’t be JR6 overkill any more. They can reunite with their friends, regroup in a familiar place, and then things can start going wrong again as the setup for heading to Oz in S4.

ParticipantI’ve never expected Eric to be in NL, reckon he’s either in SB or dead. If JoAnna’s been shooting present day stuff, then she’s not hanging out with Eric in NL, and if Eric was in NL, she’d be hanging out with him. If she’s been shooting flashback stuff, it’s parts of her story that don’t feature Eric. Maybe we’ll get other bits and pieces of her story and then a money shot of Eric in the final flashback of the ep? If it takes 8-ish days to shoot an ep, and they started on Monday, today is the half way point, and Gil’s not there yet, so I’m guessing he’s maybe only scheduled for a day or two of shooting for this ep.

ParticipantWay back when Greg’s car crashed into SB, my fave interpretation of his license plate: 2KFL138, was “took flight 1/38” relating to how production on the Wizard of Oz movie began in January 1938.
L. Frank Baum’s father made his fortune in the oil fields of Pennsylvania of all places, the same state Greg’s car was from.
There was also that scene in the hospital where Greg was standing in the doorway, all but right next to the very randomly placed poster of a lion with HONOR written on it, which I immediately took as a Cowardly Lion shoutout.
Probably one or two other things I’m forgetting now too, but basically, if it turns out that THO does have some tie to Oz, I’ll be doing the crackpot theory victory dance. 😛
I have a feeling that NL is not going to be a season long thing at all. They already said they envisioned it like a movie for each half of the next seasons, so I think maybe first half would be NL/PP and second half will go to Oz.
What if the reason PP wants Henry has something to do with a threat from Oz?
I’d originally expected them to spend the majority of S3 in NL. Seems unlikely now, and it’s looking more like they’ll be outta there in 311 or 312. I think the second half of the season will be set back in SB. Introducing two new, iconic lands in the same season sorta takes away the epic impact of each one. Saving Oz for S4 would allow it to stand out on its own, and the same for NL, rather than having them mashed too closely together and sorta stealing each other’s thunder.
I think that once they get back to SB, there’ll be more storyline involving THO coming to town, trying to destroy it, or expose it, or posing some sort of threat. THO were helping PP, but I think they were also working their own agenda of some description. As we get towards the end of S3, I think that agenda will be revealed, as will the big boss behind THO, who I’m guessing it the Wizard. Once the SBers figure out what’s really going on, and formulate a plan to take down THO once and for all, the Wizard will flee back to Oz, and then S4 will be Oz-centric.
That’s my current thinking anyway. Will probably change my mind a frillion times by the time S3 has played out.

ParticipantDoubt he’d be worried about Emma not being able to hold her own with Hook. He knows she dealt with him even before Manhattan and that she’s not phased by him. I’d fully expect him to be all, “OH HELL NO STEP OFF” if he sees Hook talking to Emma though. As much as he knows Emma, he does not trust Hook. He likely had no idea of the state of his parents’ marriage, so if he thought they were in love until Hook came along and sweet talked his mother into falling for him, then he’d probably expect him to pull the same move on Emma. So even though Neal knows she loves him, well, his mother loved his father too until Hook came along. That could actually be a good thing for him to see though, because it’d get him all fired up and even more determined to get back to her. Not that I think he needs more inspiration in that regard, but it’d blatantly show the audience where Neal’s heart lies.
As for him seeing Henry with PP, I’d actually say that’s the more likely option. Yesterday I was posting in another thread that perhaps this crystal ball is like a palantir from Tolkien’s writings, where there were several of the seeing stones that could be used to communicate, and maybe high up figures in different lands in the Onceiverse each have one. I figured that if so, then PP would have one. If so, then Neal would maybe see PP with Henry, or hear PP saying something about Henry. Either of those things would put the fear of every single god out there into Neal, because he knows PP. And if he sees nothing of Emma to indicate that she’s in NL, then Neal would assume he’s the only one who knows where Henry is, so it’s up to him to save him.
It wouldn’t surprise me if this crystal ball gazing does result in Neal being able to basically spy on someone. It’s similar technology to Regina’s Mirror, and we know we’re gonna see that in action again.

ParticipantTrue, but the stuff about “but will she be able to let love in” along with the soulmate talk makes it sound like it’s something she’ll have to work at IMO. That’s a different kinda soulmate situation to Corumple, where it was more about giving into corruption instead of working for something healthy. If this wasn’t intended to ultimately be a positive and significant relationship for Regina, what’s the point of them implying that she’ll have to find some new strength to let the love in?
