Man, I haven’t been on the forum in must be almost a week. Guess I really did need a break from OUAT stuff as soon as the season ended.

Drinking an alcoholic beverage before bed so I’ll be able to drift off to sleep without being all tense with all the things I want to rant about screaming in my head. I wanted to drink the alcohol immediately after watching, but had to wait until after I was done with my treadmill session. That wait was rough. The first sip of alcohol was good. This show has literally driven me to drink. #fangirlproblems
Though, admittedly, the idea of Arthur turning into a dragon and having a child with Maleficent just doesn’t sit right with me, so I’d much rather it be Medraut/Mordred Pendragon, which I think would just be far more fitting all-around, but I’m not holding my breath on that
Are there any actual dragons of note in Arthurian Legend? Like, I know the show Merlin had that one dragon in particular that was chained up in the cave and gave Merlin guidance, but I dunno if he was based on a pre-existing character or was an original creation? I think I’d prefer someone like that be the baby daddy, rather than them taking a character who isn’t known for being or turning into a dragon and just tacking it onto their character.
I’m still confused as to how Mal doesn’t know the papa. I mean okay. Sure they were in dragon form but she didn’t know him before hand? Questionable villain morals are questionable…
As a dragon you probably don’t run into any other dragons on a regular basis, so if one happens to come along, I guess you just seize the day and ask no questions.
I am utterly upset Sorcerer is Merlin. It was so predictable that I thought they wouldn’t do it. But nope. They did it. Yen Sid atleast would have been a more creative choice even though that was predictable as well.
It’s weird, it doesn’t really make sense that them deviating from the norm feels like the less creative option, but I totally get what you mean. Maybe it’s because it feels like they’re just doing the Merlin twist in order to shoehorn in our next destination, so it feels kinda forced?
I’m interested in seeing other things to do with Camelot, but I’m “meh” about Merlin being the Sorcerer.
