ParticipantAgreed about how Grandma came on the scene. (And I still haven’t completely ruled out the possibility that Grandma is Dorothy. That’s one of my little pet crack theories Imma keep in my back pocket, just in case.)

ParticipantPrice: Marian’s death and the “loss” of his child.
Debt: To Belle for saving his life.Yep! They’ve previously said that his arc will involve Belle, and him wanting to re-pay the debt to her for having set him free would bring them together quite nicely. How sad though, if he’s thanking her for allowing him to save Marian and the baby, but Marian ended up dead and the baby ended up being Tamara.
I have a feeling that Greg will die almost immediately when GOAT arrives in NL with Henry. He will try to defy PP when he finds out his true intentions and PP will kill him. I do not believe Rumple or Regina will kill him.
I could see PP killing Greg. But then, Lana seemed very sure that Regina had a kill coming up, and at that point they’d only seen the first 2 scripts, so she’s still at the top of my suspect list for who’ll kill Greg.
If she’s not related to anyone from FTL then we have to explain 1) how she knows about magic and 2) how she came to hate it so much A and E have said that she and Greg represent something they hate a lot which is a sort of fanatical zeal of hatred. Now either we get this story in a flashback or through a lot of exposition but they do have to answer those questions to have Tamara make any sense.
And if we’re already gonna be learning more about Robin’s life in FTL, during the same part of the season where they’ll also have to fill in Tamara’s back story to show why she’s the way she is, it’d make sense to combine the two stories, rather than trying to cram in two separate story tangents.
They said she had no FTL persona, but neither does Emma. She’s something new. And I think in return for getting the wand back, the fairy owner sent Marian and babe to our world, 3 years before the Curse.
Yes, and yes. Tamara told August she’s “quite human”, and there were plenty of regular humans in FTL, so that doesn’t rule out the possibility that she’s from there, it’s just that she’s a new character we don’t traditionally know of existing.
And it’s been established as best we can on the t-word that Belle went to live with Rumple probably about 3 years pre-Curse. Snowing hadn’t got together yet by the events of Lacey, because that’s the bow and arrow that Rumple later gives to Snow to shoot the EQ, but she shoots Charming instead. At the time of Lacey events, there wasn’t an urgency for people to escape FTL due to the Curse coming, and being that it was several years previous, it’s highly likely that there was still another enchanted tree around somewhere.

ParticipantI’ve thought for ages that Wendy has probably been trapped in NL for a good, long while and we’ll see her in present day. Though that does beg the question of why Neal hasn’t mentioned her at all, because you’d think that if he knew she was there, he’d have wanted to use SB magic to try and get her out. Unless he thought it was hopeless to even try. Or perhaps she was there, but PP made sure Bae never knew, because he didn’t want them conspiring to escape.
I’d love to see them reunited in present day somehow. He may have only lived with her family for a few weeks, but he truly did consider them family, and if he got to see her again, that hug would be EPIC, especially if he’d had no idea that she was in NL and could still be alive.
Have been keeping an eye on Freya’s tweets to see if she hints at being on set, but so far, nothing.

ParticipantThey’ve said something like, “His story leads back to the EF.” Also, we know he’s in SB when the Curse breaks, so it’s likely he was in FTL when the Curse hit.

ParticipantThat is exactly what they did with the shawl. While we did see the shawl itself in an earlier episode, when Rumple dumped potion on it to keep his memories, we never saw Bae in that shawl until the very episode in Manhattan when it became important.
True, but despite not having seen it before, it didn’t feel random to me, and I think it’s because while we hadn’t seen Bae with the shawl previously, we had seen him wearing clothes that appeared to be made from the exact same fabric, so that shawl didn’t just come out of the blue. The doll, for me, would feel random and out of the blue if we were now told, “Oh BTW, this doll was Bae’s and he totally had it on him all those other times you saw him.”
At this point, there isn’t enough information to reason one way or the other really, so it comes down to what story you prefer.
Yep. Here’s hoping the freaking doll’s origin is addressed in 304 if not before, so we can all be put out of our misery. 😛

ParticipantPretty sure I’ve heard them say somewhere that he’s not that genie, but I can’t remember where. He lives in a bottle though, not a lamp, which suggests he’s not the genie from the Aladdin story.
Phee
ParticipantYep, just in the game. Though she’s based on a sibling of the sorcerer in the original Aladdin story, so I could see them taking inspiration from both sources and giving their Jafar a sister, (K&H do love a messed up family storyline).
In the original tale of Aladdin, the evil magician (whom Jafar was based on) had a younger brother who wanted revenge on Aladdin for killing his older brother. The younger brother went to visit a woman and murdered her, taking her identity. Dressed up as the woman, he went to the palace, where a slave of the princess told her that a holy woman had come. The princess went to see ‘her’ and the younger brother offered her a prayer of prosperity. The princess begged him to stay with her forever. He agreed, but kept his veil on, so he wouldn’t be discovered. After suggesting to the princess to put a roc’s egg in the hall, Aladdin asked his genie to make it so. The genie calls Aladdin a fool and reveals who the ‘woman’ really was. Aladdin called the ‘woman’ in and once the younger brother arrived in his disguise, Aladdin grabbed a dagger and stabbed the brother in the heart, killing him. The original tale of Aladdin ends there. Nasira is most likely based on that character.

ParticipantAt D23, they implied that RQ learned stuff from QoH.

Participant1) I love that you’re reading stuff on mermaid tails.
😆 Was actually searching for a pic to use in a potential piece of fanart, and instead ended up finding stuff about mermaid tails people make and wear, and so got distracted from the pic search.

ParticipantJoanna will look really pretty with her hair that shade! So she’s on her way to VC? I wonder if there is a little bit of water training in her future and that’s why she’s going up so early.
It’s funny, just last night I was reading some stuff on mermaid tails, the costumey type you can buy, and one post I saw was talking about it taking some getting used to to move naturally with the monofin. I guess if she’s gonna have a tail costume, instead of a CGI one, she might have to practice.
