It’s sorta ironic how Milah started disliking Rumple and called him a coward for just running away from a situation. Pot, meet kettle.

Since Jack mentioned a wise woman in her chat with Anton, I could definitely see her being the one to kidnap Henry Sr. for Cora. šŸ™‚

I could totally see that happening.

No worries about that. My magic powers right now seem to be, ā€œok what happens if I do this? No, that didn’t work. Ok, how about this? Nope still nothing.ā€

    I feel like Blue. Ineffectual.

    LOL!

I feel like after all the fiasco last year with people reporting they were planning on recasting Jefferson that they said they weren’t interested in recasting ANYBODY.

That casting call does sound awfully similar though, but really most thieves would probably be shown trying to steal something from Rumplestiltskin. Wonder what other thieves could be lurking in FTL?

It just seems way too similar to RH, right down to the fact that he stole magic from Rumple to save someone he loved. Either they’re re-casting or they’re gonna rehash the exact same plot point with someone else already. Neither option really appeals to me, but I’d prefer the former.

Rufio is probably a placeholder for a similar type role, although it would be weird to not just code-name it something else. I feel like we were misdirected with Felix which is the general desire of such things (there was debate as to PP or a Rufio-esque character). By saying Rufio it kinda has to be him or ā€œa Panā€ which gives stuff away, yet we haven’t seen an actual casting call for PP even though we know he’s coming. I have a feeling that’s because they don’t want to reveal ANY details about him at all (kinda hard to put out a call without giving any specifics whatsoever!)

Yes, this whole Rufio situation is perplexing. I agree that they probably wouldn’t want to reveal any details about their take on PP.

One thing I’m liking about these casting calls being leaked is that hopefully it means we’ll be getting some actual casting announcements soon. *fingers crossed*

YAY, you got your magical powers back! Don’t let it go to your head, Regina. šŸ˜‰

Edited to add again, again: The edit logger thing – any way to turn that to automatically unchecked unless we check it? I don’t really feel the need to have it checked but keep forgetting to uncheck it.

I was gonna ask about this too. It’s not unusual for me to go back and edit posts a couple of times right after I post and re-read it, so having that edit logger defaulted to unchecked would be handy if possible.

Daniel, that post I mentioned in the chat where I’d quoted and gotten a bunch of messed up code, having quoted a couple of other posts now, I think it’s just some sort of issue where the BBcode works but there’s html code mixed in there and they don’t want to cooperate? I quoted a long post in a thread just now and used the BBcode to chop it up and reply to a number of separate paragraphs, but in my post, it still kept the line break html code in the middle of part of the post I was quoting. Here’s the post I’m talking about:

    Peter Pans kidnapping theory

If you scroll down to the second chunk of quoted post, you’ll see the line break html in the middle of it.

ETA that can I just say how cool it is to see the forum jumping again. I lurked in a couple of other forums during the downtime and they moved so slowly with only a couple of posts per day. Made me appreciate what a great, active community we have here!

I keep on thinking that Henry is going to be a powerfull wizard in THE future. Especially because Emma is magic by nature. He might be too. Maybe he is even the future Merlin. I don’t know, Merlin hasn’t appeared in OUAT yet. (What I expect in a serie about magic) but maybe that is why he could be the undoing for many dark creatures. Like Rumple and Peter Pan. PP saw a prophecy of Henry being his undoing as a powerfull wizard and wants to kill him as a boy to prevent it.

I’ve also been recently wondering whether or not Henry will have a magical ability. Saw a post on tumblr that said that if he’s the product of true love, he should be magical just like his mother is, and that’s what got me thinking about it.

I’d previously been thinking that he was already unique enough in the sense that he was the only person in SB able to grow up, which is why PP needed him in particular. As far as we’ve seen, Henry’s ability to age was just due to the fact that he wasn’t cursed…but what if there’s more to it?

What if he does keep aging while he’s in NL, defying the laws that govern that whole land that prevent aging? That would be cool from a storytelling perspective of Henry having some sort of magic in him that PP wants to control, and also convenient because Jared’s at that age where he could have a growth spurt at any moment. šŸ˜‰

I’d also previously been thinking that Rumple’s “undoing” would come about in some sort of 1 on 1 battle with PP where each of their dark powers end up being destroyed. But what if it really IS Henry who will be the actual undoing, because some sort of magic that he possesses is what will ultimately destroy Rumple’s dark magic? Maybe Rumple and PP are having that showdown and Henry has to step into the middle of it to diffuse the whole situation?

Maybe PP has been wanting to destroy the Dark One all this time, and only a person born of true love to the power of 2 generations would be able to wield the power to do it, which is why PP orchestrated everything that has led to Henry being created as the grandson of the Dark One and both of them coming to NL?

And I keep on thinking that dr. Whale is an inside spy in StoryBrooke. As far as I know, Regina’s curse came only over FairyTale land and since Whale is from another land, how could he be in SB? Henry was trying to tell that in one of the episodes of season 2. Maybe PP lost ones his shadow, what could have been recovered by Whale. Something he was able to succeed. They made a deal so that Whale could stay in Neverland for while, what kept him young until Regina’s curse, so he could go to StoryBrooke.
And some how he must be connected with the home office. Maybe he gave Owen/Greg instructions how to go to SB, especially since Owen was just a little boy the last time he was in SB.

I dunno about him having been an inside agent all this time, but I do hope they get him involved in the magic vs science stuff in S3 if THO try to get into town again, (which I assume they will). It seemed like a glaring omission to not have him involved already, considering he’s the character that introduced us to the whole science vs magic theme in the first place.

If THO do show up, and have some scientifically based somethingorother that the SBers don’t really understand, Whale could be in a position to be a huge help…or he could be seduced by the possibility of working with the scientific geniuses at THO instead of helping the SBers protect their silly magic. I see a lot of potential for a cool storyline there, so hopefully they do something with it.

If they’d taken the time to develop FrankenWolf in S2 like they’d originally planned, and if they could keep Meghan around for S3, that could have potentially added another emotional level to the situation too. Stupid “what if”s. :-p

By the way, why was Nealfire running away, when Gold/Emma and Henry came to visit him? How did Neal escaped from Neverland?

As for why he ran, it’d be cool if we get more of his backstory and see that he’d been hiding from someone in relation to the life of crime we’ve seen him lead. As for how he escaped NL, I suspect that PP let him go at just the right time so he’d meet Emma.

HappyEndings, your post with the casting call should be spoiler tagged, (if those tags are currently working) because this thread is not in the spoiler section!!

I think PP may rip Charming’s shadow off of him.

It was mentioned in ASOTM by Felix so it would make sense that we the audience will actually see PP ripping someone’s shadow from them. As we have the Jolly Roger heroes, it makes sense that PP will try and rip their shadow from one of them.

It would make sense to have Charming have his shadow ripped because it not only provides drama for Snowing but it can also act as a continuation of Snow’s dark heart storyline of how far Snow is willing to go to save the people she loves.

    Really like this idea!

Well I think the finale had Rumple saying that GOAT didn’t know who they were working for and it was very heavily implied that it was PP and that PP is who he’s afraid of (I can’t remember if H&K confirmed this anywhere, it’s been awhile).

I’m wanting to say that there’s an interview somewhere where K&H imply that that scene was meant to indicate a familiarity between Rumple and PP, but buggered if I know where I read it.

Also the Aurora and Mulan actresses have other shows to do so I can’t see them keeping Neal with MAP for too long due to availability issues.

Yeah, this is the main reason I’m thinking Nealfire will have to find a way out of FTL relatively early on in the season. It’s also why I think there will likely be other people still alive in FTL, because that would give MAP a reason to want to stay there, which writes them out of the current storyline nice and neatly once Nealfire moves on.

Maybe Neal is already in Neverland. Aurora and Mulan were searching for Philips lost soul. It’s possible that his soul was lost in Neverland and that they just found him and short after Neal stranded on the beach of Neverland.

In the shot of him lying on the beach, you can see in the background the piece of land that was the Safe Haven. The fact that they appear to have used the same big prop rock in that scene that they also used in the scene of Bae and the Lost Ones coming ashore, caused a bunch of questions and confusion. But the curved beach and the shape of the land in the background is an exact match for the Safe Haven as seen in the ep when Snow and Emma were being dragged there.

But adding another device seems a bit excessive in my eyes. They have a perfect way to do it, that has already been seen and explained. A new device means a new explanation which will lead to, ā€œwell why can’t they use the red room again?ā€

Yeah, that’s why I’m thinking they’ll probably use the red room again. With Henry wanting to contact his family, his family wanting to pinpoint his location, and Nealfire wanting to get word to everyone about where he is too, it would seem sort of silly if none of them consider using that room again, (especially considering that so many in the fandom are talking about it as an option, so the characters would look sorta dumb if they didn’t think of it themselves).

Something I’ve wondered about though is with the wacky time correlation between NL and other worlds, maybe it won’t be possible for Aurora to contact the others, because they’ve gotta be sleeping at the same time, and a full night’s sleep in NL potentially equates to the blink of an eye in FTL. So I could see Henry meeting up with Snow or Charming, because they’re all experiencing the passing of time at the same rate, but Aurora may not be able to come to the party.

I do hope Nealfire ends up back in NL somehow though, because I think it’d be interesting to see him reacting to the place as an adult.

Is the link showing up in my post now? It wasn’t before, but Daniel said it got fixed, so hopefully it’s showing now.

It’s just so sweet how he went out of his way to meet them, and I can totally imagine how their brains must have melted when he walked in and sat down next to them for a chat!

They don’t actually have the rights to use Rufio, do they?

They didn’t, but rights can be acquired. Who knows? They didn’t have for the characters of Peter Pan originally, but they ended up getting for them all. What I know is that they’d very much love to have Rufio in the show:

Does Rufio exist in your version of Neverland?
Kitsis: You know what? At this point, everyone has asked us about Rufio. Our entire writers’ room is pitching Rufio. I don’t know whether or not that is property of Sony.
Horowitz: Whatever studio did it, I think Rufio is a proprietary character.
Kitsis: He lives in our hearts.
Horowitz: We love Rufio and we wish he could be a part of this show. In our minds, he exists in the show whether you see him or not.

And honestly, I’d feel pretty cheated to find out they used a codename for a well-known character that’s recognized as another well-known character (ok, more or less in this case) in the same universe as the former and that fans have been asking for.

Good point about them having mentioned Rufio before, I’d forgotten about that. Curious!
