So to me, the reason to not pair Hook with Emma is not owing to his low status, but rather, his behavior and the attitude he chooses to adopt (selfish entitlement and disdain for the feelings of others).

I feel like he wouldn’t find it objectionable if someone compared to Neal to Kate, because he’s good people, not a “thug”.

Bless Eion Bailey indeed! Like I said, I don’t ship it, but dang do he and JMo have some chemistry, even though they only had a couple scenes, they just play so well of each other, so natural and easy, and Emma felt the most Emma-ish she has in a long time IMO.
Now don't get me wrong Killian is so far below Emma's station as princess that the pairing is tantamount to debutante thug.

Probably Rumple and Regina will “succeed” in getting what they thought they wanted only to discover it wasn’t what they’d wanted after all.
Speaking of Rumple, where’s he at in this AU? Did he let Belle’s kiss break the Dark One Curse? Is he even in FTL, or has he found a way to our word and is enjoying a life with Bae? Did he never become the Dark One at all, and he and Bae lived full lives and died centuries ago? If so, who’s the Dark One instead of him?
Am I right to assume this would occur before Marian but after King Leopold’s death? Or should I just not assume anything because this is (seemingly) an AU?
Who knows. Maybe in the AU Regina is never forced into marrying Leopold at all. Maybe Snow’s mother remains a brat and she’s the one who kills Leopold and because she’s raised Snow to be bad as well, they throw a party instead of his funeral. Maybe Snow marries James instead of Charming. Or maybe Regina’s the one who gets set up with Charming after James still dies, and then Robin comes along to rob their carriage. Maybe Charming stays on the farm and there’s this Marian girl who lives on the next farm over and they end up together. They could do just about anything.

I started wondering about all the different factors and relationships that would have to change in order for them to cover all the bases and have this AU make sense. Then I decided not to bother, because this show covering all bases so it makes sense LOL. 😛
I think this will go over better for me than the previous re-do of Snow Falls did, because surely whatever happens here isn’t gonna actually change history and isn’t gonna stick.

HALP! I wandered into the WoodenSwan tag, not because I ship it but because I just really loved seeing Emma and August interacting again, because even though he did horrible things, he eventually tried to make it right, and they have this complicated history that’s interwoven with Neal and I JUST HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT HOW THE THREE OF THEM SHOULD HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HASH IT ALL OUT AND END UP FRIENDS, OK.
