Do we think that curse has been in the cave on Bald Mountain forever, before Rumple? Has no one tried to steal it before??
It’s probably some of the oldest magic there is. Way back in the day, Sneaky Fairy probably thought, “If this place gets outta hand, I might need a reset button,” and she stuck the Dark Curse in Bald Mountain and sent her lapdog Chernabog (she calls him her Wittle Cherny Werny) to guard it so that no one except herself could ever enact it.

In PotC there was a character named Tia Dalma, who was a creepy sorceress type, and was later revealed to be the sea goddess Calypso, who had been confined to human form by a scorned Davy Jones, who enlisted the help of the Pirate Lords to do so.
They set Ursula up as a sea goddess, and given Hook’s surname, everyone’s been expecting a Davy Jones connection of some sort at some point.
I don’t expect that Urusla and Hook had a romantic relationship like Calypso and Davy Jones did. But Hook stripping her of her goddess status in some way would still fit with theme from the movie.
Yeah, I really think Rumple is going to impersonate Hook to get the dagger back.
Yup, looks like. I recalled there being mention of Bobby being on set, but couldn’t remember pics of him, but that’s definitely him in the last pic. Oh, Rumple. *sigh*

Sorry, but you know it’s a thing he’d say! Also, the first time he saw her down in the Underworld he’d question if she had to die in order to get there, and would scold her for having left Henry like that, because it wasn’t worth the risk on the off chance that she could save him from death.

Alas, yes. There was a time when I’d have thought they’d have something like this in them, but now I accept that it’s merely a wishful daydream that they could produce a story like this.

So here we are, watching Rumple disappear into the shadow when Will and Belle kiss, and the kiddo turns to me with a look for deep concentration and goes “So… is Rumple never going to have his happy ending because he’s poor?” I scratch my head, and say “Well, no, he’s only poor outside of Storybrooke.” So she looks at me like I’m thick, and goes “No, I mean because he started off poor.”
Of all the questionable messages this show sends, I hadn’t ever really considered that one, but WOW, out of the mouths of babes, huh!
Seeing as how he’s the topic of this thread, you could add Will as one who “lucked” into fortune as a side effect of being with his true love, (if we only look at things up to the end of WL and don’t consider how he and Ana apparently got torn apart again). Sure, they’d planned to steal the crown jewels to begin with, but they were going after riches because they were starving and sick of living in poverty. If he does reunite with Ana at some point, then he’ll fit in with the gang of rich folk/royals who get their happy endings. If they don’t end up back together, and Belle never goes back to Rumple, Will can chill with Rumple in the corner for impoverish folk who lost their true loves and happy ending.
Sidenote, this discussion, whilst infuriating because it makes me think of problems with the show, does have the silver lining of inspiring me to revisit this…

I would want GhostNeal to show up only if he can *poof* into a CS scene and yell, “WTH man, first my mother and now the mother of my child?!” Then before he *poofs* away, he says to Emma, “Did he tell you the story of how he sold me out to Pan?” Then *poof* he’s gone, and moments later, FuriousEmma exits the scene too.
If they can arrange that, then bring on GhostNeal.
Bonus if Emma’s regret then drives her to find a way to bring Neal back to life, and she ends up visiting the Underworld in their spin on that Greek myth about whatshisname and whoseherface, only this time the ending is different and Emma won’t look back at the last moment, which means Neal will be resurrected. (Before Emma starts walking, Neal would tell her to NOT try to get one last glance of him, because no matter if Hades keeps his end of the deal and frees him or not, Emma needs to get back to SB. “Don’t even think of looking back to me, you keep looking forward, to Henry.”)
Then Emma wakes up in SB and goes running down Main St desperately screaming Neal’s name, and he’s also running and calling Emma’s name, then they run to each other and embrace. And it’s all the biggest PARRRALLLEL ever to Snowing when the Curse broke. And it’s also a beautiful accompaniment scene to how SF ran into each other in Manhattan.
So, as much as I’d like MRJ to stay far away from this mess of a show, if they could cook up a storyline like that, I’d happily have him back.
Can someone clear this up?

I read a theory elsewhere that I felt I should share here. There’s a theory that Rumple might be pretending to be Hook in this episode in an attempt to get the dagger back from Belle. I know many of you would hate that development, because once again Rumple would be duping Belle, but I totally could see this happening.
Bobby was on set the night they shot that scene, wasn’t he? However it plays out, it’s not good for Rumbelle. Either it’s Rumple posing as Hook and lying to Belle again, or it’s Belle wilfully handing the Dagger to a personal enemy of Rumple’s. Either way one of them is gonna be betraying the other.
Whether or not it’s Real!Hook, I imagine he’ll say he wants the Dagger for something Ursula related.
I think it was more a reference to how the last time Charming got a good up close look at her, she looked like a dragon. It’s also a way for them to have Maleficent acknowledge that she recognises Charming as the guy who stuffed the egg in her.
LOL. I personally prefer the pink/purple outfit.
Agreed. Though I get a bit obsessive about purple, so anything purple instantly trumps all else in my book.
