Remember these official photos for 1×17 Hat Trick? They were of August and Jefferson, and they seemed to know one another! Unfortunately, this scene was cut from the actual episode, and neither was it on the S1 DVD.
I give the writers a lot of crap these days, but I’ll give them props if this thing with August and the Author door and the Hat and Jefferson is actually a thing they were planning way back then, and they’re sticking with it. August and Jefferson wouldn’t necessarily need to have known each other, it could have just been that August sought him out that one time, after having found the door in the Book, figured out it was from inside Jefferson’s Hat, and wanted to ask him about it.

Different panelling. I looked up the Hat doors yesterday, to see if any were a match, but they’re not as far as I could see. The design of this new door is probably based on a door that appears in some Disney movie.
[adrotate group="5"]That is sort of how I feel, though then I wonder if that would mean I’m condoning adultery (something I just won’t do). I want Belle to be happy, even if that’s not with Rumple, but not until their marriage is officially over.
I hear that, (my ex-husband moved on to someone else after we were separated but before we were officially divorced, so believe me, I HEAR THAT). I look at Belle’s case as unique though, because she doesn’t think there’s a way she’d ever be able to have any contact with Rumple ever again, so actually filing divorce proceedings isn’t really an option she has available to her (as far as she’s aware).
I may or may not have just brought up the finale to Wonderland again just to see if Will or Ana were wearing wedding rings at Alice’s wedding. The were not. So the got married after Alice.
Not a whole lot of time passed since the Cylice wedding, right? I could buy it that Ana wanted her wedding to Will to be perfect, so she took a bit of time to plan it, and then maybe on the eve of the ceremony, he vanished, and is now in SB. I could probably accept it if all the Curse un-doings and re-doings somehow yanked him out of WL and back to SB. It would be harder for me to believe that Ana hadn’t gotten the Rabbit to pop off and find him, but I guess if she thinks he ditched her the night before their wedding, maybe she wouldn’t WANT to find him. Just as long as Ana’s not dead, and Will’s looking for a way to get back to her, I’ll accept just about whatever convoluted way they make it happen.
Ursula seemed pretty nonchalant toward seeing Hook…so is it really THAT bad? I mean, if it were something completely and utterly terrible, she’d have A) Been surprised to see him B) Most Likely attacked him and C) Wouldn’t have just strolled away even if she did attack. Ursula is kind of snarky. She’d have words to say I assume. Especially if Hook “crushed her soul”. Why just walk away?
I got the impression she WOULD have said more if it wouldn’t have compromised the shenanigans they were up to in town. As they walked away, Cruella put a hand on Ursula’s back as if to comfort her and tell her to not turn around and look at him again.
I listened to the Afterbuzz podcast for this week’s ep. One of the hosts said that we saw Zelena in the promo for next week. I had to go rewatch to check. Clearly she’d just seen Maleficent and mistaken her for Zelena.
Although, i say that i terms on show, i would say the person that most wronged Neal was Emma, not Rumple, she was the one that gave up on him and left him dead when she could have done something to save him.
That act majorly tarnished Emma for me, like, MAJORLY. But Rumple’s still the one who drank the thing to wipe his memory. It was possibly the most OOC thing they’ve made Rumple do, considering how at that point in time, all he cared about was having a life with his son again, yet he effectively sentenced him to death when he was in a position where he could have saved him instead.
I hope it’s something bigger than that. I hope it’s something like, she actually WAS a goddess, and something Hook did stripped her of her goddess powers and immortality, and turned her into a mere octohuman.
I hope there’s something more to it than what we saw in this ep. If it’s just that they didn’t prevent the Curse because they weren’t prepared to go dark, then shouldn’t they have been blaming themselves for EVERYONE’S Curse induced suffering since the moment they got their memories back?
Did you note where that door was?! Inside the Mad Hatters HAT!! Oh please, please, let us have Jefferson make an appearance!
I doubt we’ll see Jefferson again, (Seb Stan is a bit beyond this show these days), but thanks for that side by side to confirm that the door IS from inside the Hat.
The interesting thing for me is that August wrote, “Author?” with a question mark, so even he, who knew about the Book, and knew how to add to it, seemingly didn’t actually know where it had come from.

Regina went to see Zen!Maleficent and took the Curse…
Dark!Maleficent went to see Snowing.
Was it pregnancy hormones making Maleficent temporarily zen? I’m having trouble reconciling that version of her from way back in ep 2, with the darker version of her that hangs out with Cruella and Ursula and tries to corrupt the hero types.
I hope Will’s playing Belle. Which would be a horrible thing for him to do, and I’d want to slap him for it, HARD, but that just goes to show how annoyed (for want of a stronger word) I am about Will being with someone who isn’t Ana.
I hope Will thought, “If I get with the girl who runs the shop full of ALL the magical things, then I’ll get to hang out in the shop with all the magical things, and I can snoop to my heart’s content until I find a thing I can use to get back to Ana.”
I don’t much care if Belle’s got a rebound guy, (she CLEARLY still feels a LOT for Rumple, so I can’t believe that she’s genuinely 100% happy with Will in a lasting relationship kinda way), I just don’t want it to be Will.
