ParticipantNeal met her immediately after saying to August that he didn’t think Emma would want to see him again, and August said maybe she would. Neal was crapping himself at the prospect of having another chance with Emma. Even though he’d waited so long for her, now the moment was upon him, he was apprehensive. And I can’t blame him because it was a terribly daunting situation to be in, and what if it didn’t work out. Couldn’t it perhaps just be better to leave things as they were rather than risk creating more heartache and end up hurting Emma all over again? Throwing himself into a relationship with Tamara meant he could justify not going to SB and facing Emma. I don’t think he’s under a spell, or in love, I just think he’s been kidding himself. But destiny has a way of catching up to you.

ParticipantNot just his role in breaking Neal and Emma up, but also a resolution of how he left her as a baby. They should have shown Emma acknowledging that she now believes, and that he played a role in that, and shown her understanding where he’d come from and why he ran away and left her. They had the makings of a strong friendship if they’d let them work through all of that. Now it’s wasted potential and dropped threads of character development.

ParticipantI’m glad they didn’t try to play it that Greg didn’t know about Neal. The other day I posted that I didn’t think she could be Her because it would be too much of a stretch for me if she was leading a secret, double life in two states. But Greg knows she’s dodgy, so I find it easier to believe she’s the one he’s been talking to.
She said she’s “quite human” which doesn’t necessarily mean, “boring old human who has never been in or been connected to a magical land in any way, shape or form.”

ParticipantI have no issue with the taser. It’s not like they accidentally forgot that wood doesn’t conduct electricity when they wrote the episode. The writers obviously like that people are questioning it. Clearly it’s something that appears to be a real world item, so she can freely carry it around, but it’s actually something else they intend to reveal later, because revealing what it is right now would have given away something about her character they’re not ready to show yet.

ParticipantWhen the spoiler pics of August’s de-ageing came out, my instant reaction was to hate it. But I decided to reserve judgement to see if it served the purpose of the storyline in a way I could get behind. Now that I’ve seen it…still hate it. We’ll never get Emma and August dealing with crap they should have dealt with. Geppetto and Pinocchio get a do-over while the Charmings and Emma don’t, which isn’t exactly fair. The character of August and all his development was sacrificed just so they could have the plot device of him losing his memory so Tamara doesn’t get busted for a few more episodes.
Also disliked how Tamara just waltzed into town so easily, given how stressed everyone had been about Greg and wanting to get rid of him, but she shows up and is just automatically accepted and is wandering around without anyone wanting to kick her out of town. Was inconsistent.
I didn’t dislike the whole ep, thought some parts of it were really well done and like some of the curve balls they threw at us, but for now I’m just in a negative mood.

That’s weird, because I just looked through Janes’ Twitter and I couldn’t see this tweet or your comment anywhere..
If you were looking at Twitter on the web, did you click on “All” to see her @ replies to everyone? (The default setting loads a tweet stream without all the @ replies, just the general tweets, so not everything shows.) Currently East Tennessee (Smoky Mountains!)
Moved recently from Central Florida- born and raised there. (I miss WDW 😥 😥 😥 …and the beach.. but Disney more.. lol)Oh cool! I went to school in East TN- UT Knoxville! I miss WDW too…I was a castmember for over 8 years.
A friend of mine is from Maryville, (and also as it happens went to UT and is a Disneyphile) so I’ve visited East TN a couple of times in recent years. On my first visit, she took me up into the Smoky Mountains and it was beautiful. Her ancestors lived in Cades Cove, in one of the old cabins on the tourist trail through there.

Question: In what episode does Regina first talk to “Greg” as an adult? I can’t seem to find it and I’d like to watch it again before the next ep. Was it in the hospital? Am I imagining things?
This sneak peek scene is the first time we’ve seen them speak to each other. Regina hasn’t even seen Greg yet in any eps prior to this one, (not including the flashbacks when he was Owen).
Edited to add: Actually, they did speak on the phone when he told her Henry was running in the woods, but she had no idea who he was and we don’t know if he really knew who she was at the time either. We haven’t seen them face to face before this sneak peek.

…That ended up being longer than intended. Oops.
It’s easy to ramble when it comes to topics like this. 🙂 I find all the Arthurian legend stuff fascinating, but get easily confused because of all the different versions.
I guess at the end of the day, the chances of Tamara being some incarnation of Morgana (just realised those two names sorta end similarly) will depend on if they intend to bring Lancelot back still alive. I hope they do though, before the end of the season, because revisiting those in present day FTL would connect the start of the season to its end nicely, and K&H have said that the beginning of the season will fit better once we’ve seen the end.

ParticipantHope they explain how they already have beans almost ready to harvest when it’s meant to take 100 years and they’ve had about a week.

Also, one small peeve: I know “they are both” but I really wish Charming would call her Snow.
This has started to bug me so much, it’s officially become a serious pet peeve.
