I’d rather see Rumple conquer his darkness than be cured of it.
So would I actually, I’m just throwing out theories. I want him to stay the Dark One for a very long time but to turn it towards good like he said he would back in “A Desperate Soul”
I’m not sure that that would even be possible. The Dark One curse seems like a parasite, that latches on and sucks the good out of your soul, the way a leech would suck blood out of you. Only way to fix a leech bite is to get rid of the leech. Only way to overcome the Dark One’s influence is to have it expelled from your body.
Losing his curse doesn’t automatically make him all pure and innocent again, and doesn’t absolve him of all his problems. It turns him back into a man who needs to find his own inner strength to be good and make up for his mistakes.

Accordiing to the above video I thought the person who would be killed was a good guy not a bad guy 😕
Well, yes, they say one of their own will die…
Actually, it says one of their own will “perish”. Perish doesn’t necessarily = die. IMO, perish means Rumple, (one of their own because he’s part of their family) losing the Dark One part of his persona.
The mention of someone dying is in that graphic in the first post, (which the official Once Twitter tweeted as well BTW), but that just says, “one will die”, not “one of their own will die”. It’s a separate thing IMO.
Cora will stab Rumple & inherit the Dark One powers, Snow will use the candle to save Rumple right before he dies, and she’ll kill Cora, which will also cause Dark One powers, now within her, to no longer exist. Cora tells Regina in the sneak peek that if Rumple dies, the Dark One powers will “just boil off into the air, and there’ll be no new Dark One.” So as long as Snow uses a means other than the dagger, (ie: the candle) to kill Cora the new Dark One, that curse will cease to exist.

Oh gosh. Is that how she wakes up on day one of the curse?? I mean: can I wake up like that please and thank you?
THIS! Pretty, pretty, (oh so pretty) please!
Her expression is sorta like, “Whoooooaaaa, the curse worked AND I still have the hot Irishman. YES!”

And Emma has the storybook….I wonder why? ❓

ParticipantI like the idea of this being the old hag attempt to kill Snow part of the story. Bet Regina will have a different face CGI’d onto her when we see the scene.

Participant“At the end of last year, Mr. Gold said magic was coming. Now that magic is here, it always comes with a price. In the finale, we’ll see that price,” executive producer Edward Kitsis tells me.
Could the price be something specific to Rumple, as opposed to something that affects the whole town? Like…he brought magic back, which meant that Snow and Emma got sucked down the hat, which meant they had to open the portal to get back, which meant that Hook ended up in town…could Rumple’s price for bringing back magic be the discovery that his son and his enemy were friends in Neverland, and now they’ve been reunited? Seriously, talk about ironic, if Rumple’s been doing everything he can to reunite himself with Bae, and then he ends up reuniting Hook with Bae.

ParticipantMy brain is so overwhelmed by the speculation and possibilities for the end of the season. O. VER. WHELMED! 😆

Seems like I’m the only one who wasn’t particularly bothered with the scene.
To me, these are just words – he has never ever tried to redeem himself, none of his actions were ever selfless and he’s only saying all that now BECAUSE he’s dying and for no other reason.I don’t think his words were hollow, I think that for the first time in a long time, he was being completely honest and vulnerable, which is a good thing, because he typically has a facade up, but this situation forced him into letting it down. He needs to go to this place emotionally, in order for him to progress emotionally. I’m looking forward to how this affects his relationship with Nealfire, who has now seen him in a completely unexpected light.
As for the last sneak peek, I’m actually fed up with how clueless Regina’s become. It’s irritating to see the writers stupefying her like that, it doesn’t fit with the character we’ve known for that long. Even if the writers come up with some excuse for that, I will still consider it bad writing.
I’m not even an EvilRegal and it irritates me how completely she seems to have succumbed to Cora. Hopefully by the end of this ep, she’ll have had a wake up call.

ParticipantAnd like I wasn’t already a total fangirly mess, Ms Espenson replied to my tweet where I thanked her for writing the scene. Then she replied again asking if I had the link to it. 😆

Well…
Too bad I can’t understand almost anything of what he said 🙁
Me
Belle: Mr Gold, I told you before, I don’t remember you.
Rumple: I know, I know. It’s just…sweetheart, I’m dying.
Belle: Oh, I’m, uh, I’m so sorry.
Rumple: I know that you’re confused about who you are, so I’m gonna tell you. You are a hero, who helped your people. You’re a beautiful woman, who loved an ugly man. Really, really loved me. You find goodness in others…and when it’s not there, you create it. You make me wanna go back…back to the best version of me. And that never happened before. So when you look in the mirror, and you don’t know who you are…that’s who you are. Thank you…Belle.Me: Oh my heart! WAAAAAHHHHH!!!
