Well some people are theorizing now that maybe the BF has a hidden agenda for doing this to August because he might know too much. If they do it that way and leave open the door for someone to return August to his correct age, then I think it could be a really interesting idea.
This is a twist I could totally get behind, if August is lying there dying, and is about to spill everything he knows, and Blue butts in and is all, “Oh no you don’t,” and steals his memories away. That would actually be kinda cool.
If the theories about the big, bad, spine chilling reveal at the end of Manhattan being about Blue prove to be true, then it’d make sense if they’re showing her more nefarious side in future eps. She probably could have just changed him back into a flesh and blood adult again, but then he still knows too much, so instead she’ll smile sweetly and be all, “If you wish it, I can give you and your father a second chance at your life together. *bats eyelashes innocently*” and then BAM, he’s a kid again. She wouldn’t even have to specify beforehand that the second chance involved the de-ageing. That could play into the theories that in Manhattan, she’s gonna be the Seer who Rumple doesn’t ask enough specific questions of. She could just offer them the opportunity without explicitly stating what it involves, and they’ll be all, “Sounds good, let’s do it,” without thinking it through properly.

ParticipantHook will get screwed over, but he won’t die. Would be far too simple to kill him when instead they can have him bounce back to TeamCharmings and divulge Cora and Regina’s secrets to them, adding fuel to the fire of the good vs evil battle in SB. Once Rumple gets back to town, and the Charmings are defending him from Cora and Regina, because he’s family now, that’ll really burn Hook to essentially be on the same team as Rumple.
Not sure what to make of the spoiler about Henry. Hmmm.

ParticipantThanks for the link, Jolly Roger. Stupid geoblocking, spoiling our fun!

ParticipantMeh, menolikey, but we shall see how they handle it and maybe they’ll win me over. My biggest issue with it is that a child can’t be held responsible for August’s faults as an adult, and I dunno if a deathbed confession is gonna cut it. I LOVE me some August, and was looking forward to his continued struggle, and now we’re not gonna see it.
This is one of those times that I’m glad to know spoilers. If this got sprung on me while I was watching the ep, I’d probably like it even less than I do now. 😛 I’m super excited about all the other stuff spoilers are indicating recently though, so there’s no way I could think of ditching the show.

Bae leaving Did destroy the Enchanted forest . It set off a chain reaction . Fate vsDestiny?
Excellent point. Perhaps the EF was going to be destroyed ANYWAY, so the only way that the BF saw to save everyone’s life was to bring them to another land en masse.
Yes, like, she tried to save everyone by sending the initial threat (Bae) away, but then it became apparent quite quickly that they were all still screwed anyway, and she had to realise that there was nothing she could do to stop the destined destruction, so she just had to roll with it as best she could, keep an eye on Rumple, and manipulate any little thing she could. That would explain away her not helping Regina, if Blue had resigned herself to the fact that one way or the other, it was gonna happen, so even if she stopped Regina, the fates would find another way, and another, and another. So rather than postponing the inevitable and spending the rest of her days completely preoccupied with all this doomsday business, she just let it play out.
I love how one cryptic spoiler about a “chilling flashback” sends us all reeling with tangental, off-the-wall theories about the BF. It’d actually be hilarious if by the end of the series, the BF is actually blameless.
I know right! 😆 😆 Even if we end up being completely wrong, at least we’re having fun. 😀

Which all leads back to the question of what is her endgame. If she did want Bae out of the picutre, but was content to let Rumple scheme to get everyone to SB, then there is something else she’s hiding.
True! My head is spinning outta control with all this stuff right now. Feel like I’m trippin’ on fairy dust. *headdesk*

But it brings up the question of why Blue let the Curse be cast in the first place. If she’s powerful enough to foresee what Bae would become (which is really interesting and something I would never have even considered!) then why couldn’t she see what Rumple was going to do, what Regina would do and stop it.
Didn’t one of the script excerpts have the Seer saying something about a difference between what can be and what will be? Perhaps, if there was a chance of Bae destroying FTL in the future, that was a chance she couldn’t take between “can” and “will”, she simply HAD to take precautions. In doing so, she ended up setting up Rumple finding the curse, which she may not have originally bargained for. Perhaps she’d only planned as far ahead as getting rid of Bae, then she suddenly found herself with the angry Rumple situation on her hands, (he was meant to go with Bae, so she may not have accounted for what actually happened), and had to think on her feet to guide and manipulate all the events beyond that moment as best she could.

But if she is there with him and witnessing all of this then she must know something which means if Neal is the one that told her then they are obviously close…and we have yet to see her with August at all…every time she shows up it’s with Neal.
Neal didn’t have to confide anything in her if she was sent by Blue to find him, because she’d already have known his whole back story. If she works for Blue, as someone who had sent info back to SB about Neal’s whereabouts, and also about August’s, then it makes perfect sense for her to be in this scene with all of them.

As for Neal running…might not be her voice that tipped him…like Gold tells Henry later…his son is adept at running…as much as Emma knows how to spot someone who is hiding…Neal probably knows how to recognize when he’s being tracked.
That is true, I’m sure the guy has been permanently on edge for some time. But I have to think that it was the sound of her voice that made him run. If he knows the curse is broken, he’s probably been a bit more jumpy than usual, and then THAT VOICE, the voice of the girl he loved, and left, that voice that he hasn’t heard in 10 years, but is still unmistakeable, it suddenly comes over the intercom of his apartment. Any other voice, he probably would have stayed, hid, pretended he wasn’t home, prepared to take down anyone who came in his door or his window. But THAT VOICE…all he could do was run from it.

However, he was the reason that Rumple wanted someone to enact the Curse, and there would be a lot of irony in the fact that perhaps Rumple inadvertently saved everyone in FTL since maybe if Bae had stayed there, he would have grown up to be this terrible weapon/leader and destroyed FTL or made everyone’s lives more miserable than even what the Curse did.
Just to mash up a few different ideas that have been proposed….
Let’s say that that’s their endgame reveal, that if Bae had stayed in FTL, he was destined to become some dark force even more powerful than The Dark One. It’s not something they’d reveal now, but perhaps it’s something they’re keeping in the vault for later…
So Blue knows this, and poses as the Seer, as a means to get into Rumple’s head, to set all of this stuff in motion that led to Bae leaving FTL…
A reveal in Manhattan that she was posing as the Seer, and totally played Rumple, would be seen as, “OMG SHE’S THE REAL BIG BAD,” even though she was actually doing it to save FTL from being destroyed by Bae in the long run.
That setup, where her actions look evil to the audience now, even though she’s actually working for the forces of good in the long run, is the kinda thing I was getting at with my previous post. It’d fit the spoiler, and also not make liars out of K&H.
