OK, so I managed to get the thread to load and can see the thumbnails and it’s the pic of Eion in the green getup, and there’s also one of youngPinocchio. It’s not letting me click the thumbnails to see them full size, but Pinocchio is dressed as Pinocchio, which makes no sense to me, because if I were making this show and wanted to show adultAugust revert to childPincchio is SB, I’d have the kid wearing the same clothes that adultAugust had been, not his FTL garb. That may be nitpicky, but to me it doesn’t compute. *headdesk*

Their exact words from a few posts down in the thread:

It seems like it. August Wayne Booth was lying on the floor and then they cut, changed the actor to the young Pinocchio and resumed filming.

The VCF site isn’t loading for me right now so I can’t see exactly what they said, but I’m hoping they interpreted events wrongly. One of things that would annoy me about it would be that it wouldn’t be consistent for Gepetto to get his child back as a child to make up for those lost years, because they surely won’t do the same for Bae and Rumple, or Emma and the Charmings, or even Henry and Emma.

Also, August has things he needs to be held accountable for, and I doubt they could wrap that all up properly in one ep, and if he reverts to being a kid, then that can’t all be properly resolved.

It’d be disappointing on multiple levels if they go that route with the character, so here’s hoping it won’t be the case.

Why is it that there are so many hiatus’? Is it the shows’ choice to put so many gaps in between episodes or is it because of other factors? I really hope that the upcoming hiatus is the last one.

This upcoming one is because the Oscars are on Sun 24th on ABC.

When have this been foretold? anyone have an idea ? Maybe in the episode where Bealfire goes through the bean portal. Think I will rewatch that ep. to see. But it could be any episode…

We’ll see the prophecy being told in Manhattan, when Rumple interacts with the Seer.

Actually, I think the fairies are a bunch of screw-ups that act like a bunch of demi-gods. They do it “for the greater good” but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Several of the magic users, if not all of them have stated at one point or another that “No good comes from magic”, and they have the scars to prove it. Yet the blue fairy refuses to acknowledge that, and stubbornly persist on using it. Every time the fairies make a mistake, evil is created. It’s how the dark one came to exist, that girl Bae talks to names her as the source.

I’ve thought for some time that the Dark One was likely created when Blue’s power got split somehow. She’s named as the “original power”, which should mean that she’s the original source of both good and evil power. I’ve wondered if perhaps she tried to rid the world of the dark power that she possessed, and in doing so, inadvertently created the Dark One. I’d never thought of it much beyond that, but what you say about the mistakes of fairies resulting in evil in the world is a great concept! Maybe it’s not even that they make mistakes to cause evil to be created, maybe it’s just that the price for them doing good magic is that dark magic has to keep doing its work in the world as well, to maintain the balance. Whenever something goes right, something also has to go wrong.

The do look a bit drugged up in those suger-coated jellyfish outfits, don’t they? 😆

Seriously, whoever designed those costumes HAD to be high at the time. 😆

I can’t help but imagine what it’s like when he needs to take a shower.
Emma: “Okay Henry, stand outside the bathroom here and take Gold’s shawl, then shove him inside and tell him to shower and once he comes out, give the shawl back, got it?”
Gold: “Can’t I just shower WITH the shawl?”

😆 😆 Dunno if anyone else here ever watched the show Arrested Development, but one of the characters, Tobias, was a “never nude”, an affliction where one can never be completely naked, not even in the shower. He wore denim cutoff shorts at all times, under whatever clothes he was wearing, and yes, even in the shower. There was a scene where Tobias was wearing his cutoffs, crying dramatically in the shower, and now I’ve totally got the mental image of Rumple crying in the shower, still wearing his shawl.

Hi, people of the forums! here my salutation and first comment.

    Welcome! 😀

I’m a bit confussed about the timeline of the series so far in regards the beans… I mean, in the 1×19 “The return”, the Blue Fairy says that the bean she gave Baelfire was the last one on that land. Then in the 2×4 “The Crocodrile”, Mr. Smee had another one, and I thought “ok, fine, he traffics at the ports, he looks for strange and new thing…that bean could come from any other land”. But now, after the last episode, “Tiny”, I’m cofussed again: I read somewhere that between what happens in “The return” and the curse, there are 300 years… so, 300 years after the Blue Fairy saying there were no more magic beans, the giants still grew up beans.

Rumple is about 300 years old, Robert Carlyle confirmed that in an interview not long ago. In Tiny, it was mentioned that it takes 100 years for beans to be ready for harvest. So it’s possible, that at the time when Blue gave Bae the bean, that was indeed the last one they had from the previous harvest, and there may not be any more available for up to another 100 years.

I know, they do not trade with humans anymore, but what about fairies? If the Blue Fairy would give a magic bean to Rumplestiltskin to follow his son, she would not only help the child to be with his dad, but also would liberate FTL from the evilness of the Dark One.

So, my question is: what happened there? The giants didn’t want to trade with fairies? if so, why not?

I’d guess that if they did stop trading with the fairies, their reasoning would be that it’s the job of the fairies to help humans. There’s a close association there. So if the Giants gave beans to the fairies, it stands to reason that they’d end up in the hands of the humans they were helping, like we saw when Blue gave one to Bae.

Ordinarily, I’d be pissed that they’re taking YET ANOTHER week off. But in this case, we may need that extra week to recover from the EPICness that will be Manhattan.

People’s views of Onciverse Hook can be quite polarising. You either think he’s completely shallow, or incredibly deep. I’m the latter, but can see how others could take him at face value and be turned off. It’s not really that different of a situation to Rumple. People either think he’s the ultimate evil, or the ultimate candidate for redemption.

For me what is really getting to me is that I have no problem with posters like yourself because you come across as extremely level-headed and approach characters, and situations within the show that are incredibly thought-provoking and deep.

Thank you. 🙂 Think it’s the Pisces in me. We get all OCD when it comes to considering all angles, which makes us notoriously indecisive, but also notoriously empathetic to varying points of view…which doesn’t help the indecisiveness. 😛
